wow 56K to much money ,you can buy a ford ranger raptor for 57K or a Chevy Colorado ZR2 for 48K and both of those vehicles have more ground clearance and more powerful engines.

A used raptor with low mileage around 48k. Way better than these tacomas, for sure.

I just watched a video from the Toyota Chief engineer that helped design the little engines in the 2024 Tacoma's and will be in the 2025 4Runners. He had an engine out for display and showed the piping that's supposed to cool down the engines. That tells me they are very concerned of the higher heat and pressures these little engines will go through. The water-cooling pipe was freaking huge, lol, looked big enough to be a sewage pipe, lol. He said it's the same system that was in the V8's. What's that tell ya about these little engines needing a V8 water cooling system? Same with air pipe.

I remember growing up, my parents refused to spend over 30k on a car, because they viewed anything more as too flashy for where we lived, and didn't feel comfortable being showy. This budget allowed for nice Buicks, Volvo's, Lexus etc.... Now I can get a 15 year old Super Duty for 40k. Something BIG needs to change, because we aren't headed in a direction that is sustainable.

Yeah there high prices pushed me away or I might of picked up a loaded 2wd. I moved a few miles from the beach in a very mild climate year round In So Cal . So traded my 23 taco TRD got 40,000 dollars for it and bought a 24 honda Civic Type R FL5 and absolutely love it what a fun car 👍🏻👊🏻
They are nice but like you said the price is just too high but that might be a good move for you to get the 4 x 2. If you don’t need the 4 x 4, you will definitely save yourself some money. Love the channel got a 21 Limited Tacoma with about 14K on the clock. Did the Heritage Grille upgrade with TRD PRO Rigid fog lights and shackles. I think mine looks better than a 24. Plus has all the options I need GEN 3 still rules
Price way to high. My 2018 fully loaded SR5 double cab - 4x4 was 32,000 out-the-door. Yikes, what is Toyota thinking. $20,000 price increase in 6 years ???
Not a fan of the Connected Services option...if anything, I'd avoid that port-installed accessory/option; just another Toyota feature that the company can make more money off of

That black TRD OR for 56k is NICE. My only saving grace is I got a fully paid off car to trade in. Still waiting to see what happens with the market and the interest rates. I'm in no hurry. Just the itch of a new Taco

Prices high but the black one for 56k is a nice one. As a side note my local dealer just got the new Land Cruiser in. They show they have one and it’s 80k. Looks good but I can’t afford one. lol

I was very disappointed to see that a new 24 SR5 2wd cost as much as my 22 TRD OR which was 38,500 brand new. It is not just Toyota. Everyone 's prices are quite high currently.

You should ask a salesman if the turbo charged V6 in the Tundra's would fit in a Tacoma or 4Runner.

I was thinking about putting a 2021 Tundra's V8 engine in the new 2024 Prius Prime plug-in.

Sounds silly but one of my favorite features with my 21 3rd gen is the dual climate control. I have not seen a new Tacoma with dual climate control yet it must only be on the pro’s and the trail hunters

For the money, you’re better off getting a lower trim full size truck. You can never have too much truck, but you can have too little.

Kenny, you’ve gotta get familiar with new vehicle invoices. Most don’t have $3,000 profit in them so you won’t get $3K off.
Dealer profits are not just from invoice. Comes from warranty sales, dealer fees, doc fees, mandatory dealer add on, finance kickback.
For 52k that underground should have all the stuff to include ventilated seats.
Also the Offroad package should have 33s

Super nice guy also Raymond is cool got to add his name ! Lol if you’re going to spend your money might as well spend it with somebody that’s cool and nice and hopefully try to get you a good deal

I’m a Toyota guy, own a 3rd gen Tacoma,,if I was gonna buy a new truck it would be the GMC or Chevy ZR2 or AT4X. I just can’t see spending what Toyota wants for what you get in comparison, and plus I hate the redesign, not appealing to me, sorry.
I heard that 4th gen wheels will not fit 3rd gen but 3rd gen will fit 4th gen on the 4th gen form.
It's pretty, but it's essentially a "show truck". That's a lotta money to pay just to look capable because I doubt anyone would put it to the test.

I love my 2017 tacoma trd sport it has only 47k miles. This is my first Toyota, Ive owned Ram1500 n F150 in the past n they're good trucks. I bought American trucks because it's made in America. I bought Toyota because it made by American. Now tacoma made in Mexico with price tag trd over $50k is ridiculous. You must be a suck up to pay for that price. That basically end Toyota for me. Toyota trying to fool consumers, thinking turbo charge same as torque. Not. Unlike Ford Ranger have V6 turbo charge. Trucks now of days are better made. So Toyota must step up the game. For now, Im staying with my 3rd Gen tacoma which I paid $32,500.plus tax. 2024 tacos is a joke.
