Songs like this bring back so many memories. My mom & dad,who are now gone favourite to dance to was Jerry Lee Lewis' To Make Love Sweeter for You.They bought the 45 brand new in 1969.I played that song at mom's funeral.😒⚘️
This was my sister’s favorite movie and she died a few years before my niece, her daughter was married so this was the song they danced to, for my sister ❤
How can you not adore a guy that can dance amazingly in any genre? Disco, Country. Didn't matter. John still cuts a rug with his daughter today. Actor, Dancer, Singer and Heartthrob. The full package. I feel for the losses he's had and have admired him since I was a teenager. (57 now by the way) Keep it goin John :)
So sorry for your loss.We gone thru some sadness w losing family members including my dad 5 years ago, then my mom this year among others.Never easy...hopefully music like this brings good memories for you.Blessings from Regina,Saskatchewan.
I still love Urban Cowboy and I’m not into country music, it’s the story of this movie I love. And I still love this song by Ann Murray 🩷… I had the DJ play this song at our wedding reception, in 1993, there were a few other slow songs played at the reception but this one and Taylor Dane’s, I’ll always love you, are still my favorites. We had a beautiful wedding, lots of family and friends and the reception was so much fun! In late September we’ll be married 30 years. 😊😊
That was an awesome video! I love that dang movie! And I lovevAnne Murray! I'm a singer and preparing for a wedding on the 25th. I'm selecting this song to sing, and I ran across your video. I loved it! Great editing! Thx much for the upload! :)
I lived just down the road from Gilley’s when they were filming Urban Cowboy. It was probably a couple of years, or more before I actually saw the movie.
That's too bad Diana. Especially if you had dated for some time.Hopefully you have found a new love. We've been married 34 years. This song was on the possible weddings songs list but our singer wasnt really familiar w the song.Greetings from Regina,Saskatchewan.⚘️
@KellysClassics I appreciate the kind words. I never found love again, but found love within myself and film making. Congratulations on your happiness. I feel you're greatly deserving.
film making? I was a TV news cameraman for 40 years at a CTV in Regina. We were still in 16mm film for news shoots til 1982 when we went to 3 quater-inch tape.Loved my career & meeting the stars that came to town like Kevin Costner,Kenny Rogers & hundreds more in 40 years.Loved my job except for shooting fires & car accidents.🇨🇦
The song brings back memories of a happy time. I wish I could go back. The 79 Ford F-150. It was a great time to be young and alive.

My late husband and I did the waltz to this song at our wedding in 1989. He passed away 20 years ago. Love of my life.
