Dealers are marking up new tacomas like crazy right now.
Yes they are. Even 4Runner’s are insane…. I remember like 2 years ago I was looking at a 4x4 4Runner and it was 42k. Now I’m my area the 2 wheel drive is 42k and 4x4 is like 45k and that’s just looking at SR5
You don't even wanna know what the new hilux market is like then.... Try 80k AUD which is around 60k USD
They always have lmao
Not really. Dealer add-ons are largely staying but market adjustments are not. It’s not as easy to get approved to purchase these vehicles anymore so dealers are more limited in their customer so they can’t add market adjustments like they used to before interest rates climbed so much and lending requirements tightened.
Lol that Tacoma he showed is at least gonna be 60k at my dealership.
I'd go with the Frontier. Sitting in a 3rd gen Tacoma feels somewhere between being in the cockpit of a tank with the hatch down and sitting 3 inches of the floor of a muscle car while doing some weird yoga where your knees are 6 inches about your hips. I don't know how anybody ever gets used to that. That is the reason I went with the PRO4X instead of the TRD Offroad. Also while both these trucks have the big flat / raised hoods that are so trendy these days (I have no idea what they are thinking) visibility on the 3rd Gen Frontier (while no where near as good as 2nd Gen when the hood sloped down) is better.
Most uncomfortable vehicles on the market.
Toyota. It’s relates to the Hilux which is unbreakable.
I once took it to Birmingham and damaged a 500 year old wall.
The left it on a beach overnight where the tide took it out to sea.
Then set it on fire. Still works.

He retires them when they get 350k miles and rarely has issues. Has one with 750k miles lol. It’s insane. Definitely underrated bc how crappy the other Nissans are
My 2011 tacoma has 300000km and still kicks like the day I bought it in 2011. Haven't even dropped $5k in maintenance. Oil changes, tires, axles, steering rack bushings and suspension were the only parts replaced so far.
We have a 2001 Rav w/almost 320,000 miles on it. Only basic maintenance. And shes still driving across the state of Florida. We liked it so much we just bought a 2023 Rav 4 TRD. I couldn't be happier. Toyota everyday , all day!
@@DieselDog1982 not really considering it was off roaded frequenlty. Axles were only replaced because of torn boots. The boots on their own OEM were only $40 less than new axles. Bushings were $90 and the most expensive of it all was the suspension which ran approx $2500. Clutch was replaced under warranty at 100,000km and the new clutch lasted 206,000km towing a 3500lb trailer for 6 years. I'd say best overall cost in maintenance over the 12 years I owned the truck.
My drive shaft fell out of mine at 120k miles. And wheel bearings went bad. Now brakes feel funny.
I just want to say that the TRD TOCOMA doesn’t have a damped hood because there will be no need to lift it with Toyotas reliability. 🤷🏾♂️
Hood struts also fail after 15 20 years. So when they are rehauled or completely modified later the hood will stay up and not fall on your head. Why make something more complicated than it should be anyway?

That extra power in the Nissan is nice to have especially on a pick up truck plus I like the rear bars behind the cab. But the exhaust sounded pretty good on the Tacoma
The Tacoma can have bars as well they're just superficial bolt-on accessories they're not a safety feature
