I rarely disagree with Mecha, but I do on this one. The Blazing Gundam is fantastic, and it gets a hearty recommend from me. The Command Qan[t] is great as well. I just didn't care for the Livelance Heaven.
Really, the worst thing about it is that it costs the same as all the other Battlogue sets, despite having significantly less going on. If the Perfect Strike Freedom is $26, then this should only be $13-$16.
The ironic thing is that the HGFC Shining Gundam had better articulation than it's own supposed upgrade. IIRC, the Shining had double jointed elbows, which is honestly baffling that the God Gundam didn't have normally.
that's what happens when the popular upgrade kit comes out first. I still think the HGCE freedom is ass....SF is a bit better but IJ is the king of CE suits. Windam is good looking but with shitty wrist joints and yet the dagger L is grunt perfection
I have built the Helios and Astray inversion so far.. I was expecting to like the astray kit better but after I got done with it, I was just kinda mehhh.The Helios is a solid kit though, catches my eye more than the astray
@@Neoncollects i fully painted mine to be two tone green and the black armor a gunmetal color and did a lot of derail painting. It look like a real grade. So its a inverted green frame.
They basically took god gundam's gauntlets and used it as a ankle armor and miniaturized its wings and use them as its gauntlets. Should have color swap the red kick effect from build burning gundam instead of a transparent foot.
This kit would've benefitted from effect parts akin to that of the Build/Try/Kamiki Burning kits (matching the color of the blazing foot), even just the EF3-1 and EF3-6 parts. Still looks nice, though.
I've built the HG God Gundam before and ro be honest, the only thing I didn't like abouy that kit is the core lander boosters doesn't go down and the elbows are single jointed. Despite that, HG God Gundam is still awesome, and I'm happy Domon's Gundam is getting more attention. Now, I'm really hoping Maxter Gundam would be revived.
I like the G Gundam units (Shining, Master, etc.) and some variants from Build Fighters like Try Burning and Kamiki Burning for their flaming effects, but this Burning gives me a balance of pros (weapons, helmet change like Shining) and cons (only a kick effect, basic design compared with other Fighter Gundam units).
I'm itching to see you review the Barbataurus! Haven't found any good reviews on that so far and it's my upcoming kit. Thanks for the great reviews as always!
If I was making this custom, I would take the wing segments on the arms further. Rotate them so they’re flat against the arm, then when they open up they could’ve made an energy shield effect like the God Gundam’s rings. Just my imagination going.
I have the 2010 God Gundam (and the Neo Sweden's Nobel Gundam counterpart) and it's a great kit quality and construction wise, the design is a little outdated and it has a fairly large amount of stickers, even if they're mostly in recessed areas. This Blazing Gundam is an interesting design in the way that you can see how the owner has modified the God Gundam by moving the wrist gauntlets to the feet (it's why it has god toe feet instead of god finger hands I guess) and chopped the backpack fins up and placed them on the wrists. The subdued colors are also far better, especially since the color placement on the God Gundam and color intensity make it look really cheap. This still has the microcephaly thing going on, where it has a much smaller head than other gundams (even the Nobel), which makes it look fine alone but next to others it looks like it's in tiny head mode.
So, one thing I like/find interesting with this kit, it seems like they named it after God Gundam's english localization (Burning) instead of something like "Divine" or "Heavenly Gundam"

Will it be similar as the old HG Perfect Strike Gundam or the parts will be based on the revive versions of either of the mentioned kits? I hope he'll review it soon to end my curiosity.
@@CurtisDishman honestly, the HG 00 Command Quanta is the most stable build out of all of them, at least for me. The Barbataurus is definitely the least stable. The base MS is fine, But the other frame connected to its ass is floppy as hell
I legit just saw this kit at an anime store. It was either this or the Master Grade Gundam Barbatos. I was inclined to having my very first kit be a high grade but the weak effect part on the foot kinda drew me away. If it had like fiery streaks and such I would've gotten but compared to the MG Barbatos the winner was obvious
I'm a big mark for God Gundam, but I wasn't super excited for this kit, but I have to say it looks a lot better in person than in pictures/videos. Something about that orange just looks way nicer in person.
i think you can use a matt topcoat(or gloss one) to the foot part to hide the joints inside it (haven't tried it with a matt topcoat but i have done the same thing to a runner of HG unicorn with a phosphor spray and exept that it glow at the dark it also "blurred" the part.)
I feel it's a missed opportunity to not include any recolored green flaming effect parts from the HGBF Try Burning Gundam kit. It would've really emphasized the kit when it's kicking or punching. Also, effect parts for the arm thrusters would've been awesome as well.
I just built this one and I'm working on perfect strike freedom now. I really like these kits so far and there are so many extra parts, it's a kit bashers dream. P.s. really surprised barbatauros isn't on here yet lol.
Im gonna buy this next november, im just rewatching and i didnt know you give it low Verdict.....however im still gonna buy, i also bought Helios....i already planned out to buy Helios but when you feature it, it made me sure Helios needs to be purchase ASAP 😂....still, im still thinking buying this .....im drawn to Battlelouge Gunpla Kits, to be honest im gonna buy Livelance and Gundam Wing Sky Zero as well after Sky Zero im gonna buy the Original Gundam Wing....its gonna be next year tho....ill prioritize Livelance and this

Not exactly an Upgrade, God Gundam is a separate unit from Shining Gundam although Domon claim it as 'reincarnation' of Shining.

Yes the Crimson Gouf Custom was a awesome kit. It's also my favorite kit. I also have this kit as well. Can't wait to build it.

Quite unfortunate about the shining foot part because this was the one kit I was most excited about since the God Gundam is my favorite Gundam ever 🥲

Most of the runners are from Strike Freedom, the beam effects are from Infinite Justice, and the rest are Specifically for the Perfect Strike Freedom

The face armor replacement reminds me a bit of Maxter gundam. And it's a solid close combat themed mobile suit based of God gundam so i'm sold on it.
Im gonna call this a kamen rider with it's mask and rider kick!
Now for me the red face is horrable but the white face is great, if id get this kit ill really only use the white one.
