    Oh wow that looks really pretty! My father went to Costco's and bought a gazzilion peaches so now I need to bake something. I'm going to try your recipe. Thanks for sharing b/c you walked us through all the steps and had great visual of how the mix will look AND the fabulous reason why mixing by hand as opposed to blender is important for this recipe.

    I ran into your husband yesterday at Waffle House in Villa Rica, Georgia, where he recommended your channel and your peach cobbler. As he recommended, I made it today for our family get together and wow. It's amazing and just like he said everybody loves it. Thanks for creating your channel and putting all these recipes up!

    someone has asked how much baking powder should be used? you only need baking powder if you're not using self rising flour. if you are using plain flour or cake flour use a little less than a 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking powder. and I would put a cookie sheet under your glass baking dish just so it doesn't bake over and make a mess in your oven. someone else asked for oven temp. I use 350 for 30 to 45 minutes. I hope this helps

    The recipe that I have calls for a 8x8 glass baking dish,In a bigger pan it would cook faster,and this recipe in a smaller pan it might not cook all the way through. If you wanted to double the recipe I would also double the pan size.Hope that helps!

    Karina,yes it matters what kind of flour you use,I use self rising flour. Because if you use plan flour you'll have to add baking powder to it,or it will not rise.

    I made this recipe and used all purpose flour.
    The flavor is delicious but my cobbler looks like crap.
    It did not rise. I should of payed more attention to the instructions. But the flavor is good. I will be making this again with the other kind of flour. Thanks a lot!

      You made that perfect! That is exactly how my mother make peach cobbler, back home in Greenville, Mississippi. I tried explaining to a friend, that my mothers peach cobbler crust, is like the consistency of pancake batter. That the crust will rise covering the peaches. He just couldn't picture it. Thanks to you, I can show him, by forwarding your video to him. Thank you!

      Mahthias Fountain You're welcome, I find it's better to show someone how to cook things because you're right some people can't picture it. Sharing video's is a great way to do that. Thank you for sharing my video. I have a friend who can not picture the chocolate coca cola cake!

      @whatsfordinnertonite  10 років тому +1

      Gladys Kinsler You can use all purpose flour but then you will need to add baking powder so that it will rise. It's just a lot easier to use self rising flour.

    • @whatsfordinnertonite
      @whatsfordinnertonite  10 років тому +1

      Yes

    • @whatsfordinnertonite
      @whatsfordinnertonite  10 років тому +1

      Gladys Kinsler You can use self rising for just about anything. It makes a great crust on fried chicken, if you like it crispy!

    • @whatsfordinnertonite
      @whatsfordinnertonite  10 років тому +3

      Gladys Kinsler Yes you can, and some people do however I think the cinnamon and nutmeg over powers the flavor of the peaches, and you will need add more sugar by about a half a cup. Or you can use this same recipe with apple's and cinnamon works out really well.
