I am a MASSIVE fan of LV427 designs. The guy who runs it, Mark, is an amazing dude. He is a stand-up guy and has helped many people set up their 3d Printers (myself included). There is no greater company.
That is insane. Art is definitely the word. Something that might look cool is if you tossed a green LED tea light in the canyon to give it that mysterious underglow, crank up the spooky factor!
With all the air brush advocates in the tabletop community I don't understand why no one seems to own a little HVLP gun like the auto folks use: I even use mine for batch-priming miniatures and it cuts the time down DRAMATICALLY
you could have used a small movable scaffold to paint the base plate. With dioramas this big, it's worth it. Lie down on the slab and paint from above. It's no less work but more easy on your back.
Only critique is the drybrushing on the sea-floor. Dry brushing in a circular motion would hide the brush strokes more. As it is, it's pretty easy to see how it was drybrushed.
You should record some of your game sessions on the table and post them like a bat rep or something. It would be a shame to spend so much time on the project but then not show it in action. Unless ofcourse you made this as a commission for someone else that is.
Troy! This is absolutely stellar work! More people need to be able to see this table in real life. Have you thought about taking it to a convention? This is as good or better than a lot of tables i’ve seen even at Gencon. Well done!
Fantastic amount of work brother, where the heck are you going to put that board when you are not using it? That would take up my whole filming space haha.
Take all the time You need, but i realy look forward to give it a try whan this project is finished! I did join the baking for it, i think the citadel alone is worth it and the figures looks totaly awesome!
@@FacilityD20 Awesome! Take all the time You need, we will not abandon Your channel! Ha ha It's more important You keep up the motivaton than the exact date of the video release.
Noice! And if you don't know what to do with it or where to store it no more, you can do a massive resin pour and make one of the craziest couch tables ever 😂 But seriously, respect for pushing through, especially with all those details! Amazing build!
If i had thought about it before this point i would have run the wiring under the foam. I didn't want to have the wires under the mdf base because it would get torn up.

I am dumbfounded by your genius. This is outstanding. This build just went to #1video as far as I'm concerned. 👏👏👏🧙 This, I'm sad and happy to say beat out the Ghostbusters build...
Thanks a lot! I think this is my top build/videos in terms of sheer effort, production value, and results for sure. However, that Ghostbusters build will always have a special place for me!
Ok, this is not just an amazing design but the camera-work and editing is amazing. How the HELL did you get that spinning camera view while planting down the middle area? wow
I really apricate that! I have been working hard and trying to learn to get better at making videos. The spin shot was done by taping my phone to my spinning display stand lol...
You did a solid job on this massive table! This is easily among the top ten of the absolute best game platforms i ever seen, and it's realy not often i say that in "modern time". This is just awesome as it is, but i hawe an idea of adding in round hatches in the top and bottom segments of those modules in the future so one can stack them in a 3 dimensional structures and add some more depth to it, i think tube tunnels would do for the stacking since one does not need to actualy play any scenrio in the transition between the planes since i imagine them mainly serve as hairpins for restraining acess to areas if one can hold an inlet or exit for example, say one need to climb on a ladder or walk a steep and narrow stair in order to reach the next level, etc pretty much as in real life. I will deffinitly buy the plans for those and give it a try.

I agree!
I think it's fair to say that we ALL appreciated Jenna's help on finishing this! haha looks great dude you should be proud!
I sure did lol!

Jenna absolutely made this paint project a hit. She did an amazing job.
I agree haha

Not familiar with Deco Art brand but the Neon I'm interested definitely going to check the links 😅
They are a great inexpensive craft paint, great for terrain
Bloody good model and video your a credit to the modelling community thanks for the ideas , cheers Phil , Staffordshire ,England

Man... I thought about this when I was painting the cliffs for sure
Really like that the doors just slot in. Should enable some cool dynamic moments. Great work! Any chance of us seeing a game played on it?
Thanks. Possible, i want to play around with filiming and editing a game in a cool way for it to be intresting to watch.
Watching a video from a year ago, and then watching a more recent video, you've improved a lot on your colour palletes and theming. It's amazing.
Thanks a lot, it nice to hear that
you could have used a small movable scaffold to paint the base plate. With dioramas this big, it's worth it. Lie down on the slab and paint from above. It's no less work but more easy on your back.
Like working on a car lol.
My god…. Such a monumental task. So much work! It looks amazing. I don’t even know what to say to all this detail. Fantastic!
Thanks. It was definitely a task.
Only critique is the drybrushing on the sea-floor. Dry brushing in a circular motion would hide the brush strokes more. As it is, it's pretty easy to see how it was drybrushed.
Thanks for the tip! I will keep that in mind for the next time.
This honestly is incredibly cool. Haven't seen an under water table realized before. Very nice work there =)
Thank you! Yeah I have not seen many like this either
Well Done!!!
I was going to sell off a bunch of this old dep wars stuff...
Maybe not now.
No keep it for sure!
I wonder if it would look neat to create a glowing Lava Effect on the bottom of the chasm or if this would overwhelm the complete gaming table.
I thought long and hard about that as well... but in the end, i was getting short on time and wanted the video out to help with the kickstarter.
You should record some of your game sessions on the table and post them like a bat rep or something.
It would be a shame to spend so much time on the project but then not show it in action.

I do want to try to figure out how to make an interesting video like that on this table in the future for sure.
Video does not do this justice!! Absolutely insane project! Loved seeing it come together.
Thanks Tiff!
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about all the blue, thought it would be too much. But it the end it turned out awesome!

I would love to do that, but there are never any conventions where I live... but it does look even better in real life.
@@FacilityD20 gonna have to truck it to “scifi on the rock” in St. John’s!

It took up a huge chunk of my studio too, and it was really hard to work around. I am going to place it in our downstairs living room for now.
Find the video, loved it, like it and subscribe to your channel!
Awesome to hear! Welcome.
Where did you found the the stl files of the small coral. Kind regards
For free on Thingiverse

Thought about buying one just for this lol.

for the drywall compound, i usually to spraybomb it with with a thick automotive primer. works well
Thanka for the tip! Does it protect well when dried?

How do you even start on a project of this scale?
Check out part one of this build to see how i got to this point!

In the one crew quarters I printed lol... good point on the cantina.. time to convert the small storage room lol.
