Don't you love playing with pieces and parts! At the 2:30 minute mark I'm yelling at the screen saying "Put the rebar on top"! And You did...... :-) What steak are you using? But Wait....You're Outside! I'm confused! :-) What do you call that pan? Interesting design to it. How's it fit on the 22" kettle? Cool Vid Professor!
We call them "al disco" which means "on the disc" but its called a convex cazo they are highly used in Mexico for making street tacos. There is also a concave cazo for deep frying which is also popular. I ordered both and when we have parties i get down and make tacos for the family lol. Mexican parties get down🔥haha
Very cool cook Kris. I hope PBC comes out with these type of accessories. One of my suggestion would be a little stand that raises the charcoal basket for these types of cooks. Cheers brother.
Did you have much of a problem keeping everything on top of the dome? I've never even heard of one of these until you mentioned it. I can't wait to see what you do with it tomorrow!
FYI, that is NOT pico de gallo, that is just what someone called it here and it stuck, actual pico de gallo is chopped up fruit with salt, lemon and chile....what people call pico de gallo here in the states, is actually called a "lazy salsa".
Those looked really good. That thing you were cooking on looks like a flying saucer from an old 1950's UFO movie. What kind of spatula is that you're using? Looks more like a putty knife to me. 😂
hello I am very happy to know that you like tacos and more to know that you cook them yourself but the best way to cook is with propane gas and put oil around the dome like a 1 inch and another inch of water place all the meat and vegetables that you will cook in a dome if you use to brown the minced meat and heat the tortillas
When I saw you running your coals so far from the comal I knew you were guna be too cold to cook. I’ve seen guys cut the side of a tire rim out and throw it on it’s side and throw the bola comal over it and build a fire in the tire rim with wood splits. Thats how most people do it in Mexico or they use a large propane burner.
Next time go to homedepot and invite some paisas so you can make your taco experience more authentic. I’m sure they’ll even show you the proper way to make a taco.
