I haven't seen one of your videos for a while, been following you since the VW bus EV conversion/JAG35 days. Do you have a solution for EGO lawnmower batteries with failed BMS? EGO replaces with new and suggests sending the one with bad BMS to recycling.
If you could add tested guarantied nissan leaf cells I think that would be a small niche to have. re-sell bulk cells but keep some quality tested cells of various capacity to match a used pack. I would pay more for an accurate AH /internal resistance cell than just yoloing a bunch and hoping i get a match.
Great job. I found that the best high quality lithium batteries to repurpose come from the medical industry such as hospitals. Many resemble small automobile batteries, have 12vdc working voltages, and require one or two new 18650 cells to be replaced. Once repaired, their bms boards are reusable. I series connect mine to make a working 36vdc system for my homestead. I just bought a full pallet of the batteries to be rebuilt or repurposed for the cells. Geez lots of work ahead. Lol

It seems to me that what you need is a simple standardisation method.
A system where you can produce a bunch of bms boards that will work with various different amp outputs.
So a standard 100 amp bms system or a 200 amp system or whatever.
By using a standard that also reduces cost.

I think the one with the cables would probably be better as the cables were worked out to withstand a certain level of over amp where as those ribbons tend to be very fragile.
However instead of bunching the cables they could be laid flat against the board to produce a similar effect of the ribbon.
Most of those bms tend to come wired up to the plug anyway, perhaps just have a plug at the other end that simply slots into the battery plug.
those little cables arent seeing loads, they are just checking cell voltage and comparing it with other cells, Ribbon cables are fine. Having connector slots might be a good idea but who knows if its cost prohibited.
I've been around for a long while.. Still dont get the need for the sunglasses inside.
I made custom circuit boards for the pallalet of Sony batteries that I got from you. It works great for putting them in parallel and still keeping everything safe!

I would like for you to do a video on how to wire a 12 volt BMS on a Headway battery cell
The BMW cells in a 12 volt configure how much charging amperage can they take. Because when you're using them for car audio you're going to be running a 370 amp alternator if not maybe two or three alternators
I’d say they are only good for 200A charging if you don’t want to degrade them too much.

Why not just use the connector for the BMS and have it soldered to the PCB directly and just run traces.

Man, you've totally ruined the 21700 LG battery party that battery hookup started. He bought all the LG 21700 cells from battery hookup that was going for $178 l, then jacked up the price to $299 then to $399 currently. Definitely not falling for your your price gouging this time around.
These are not the same stock as battery hookup. I hear those were degraded and ours are zero cycles unused 100% capacity. 300 for these is not expensive. And if they are you just not the right customer.
