Hello Craig. I do like going to the downs for my camps there are a multitude of places up there to camp . This spot was away from paths ect and remote , superbly quiet and dark.. atb
Nice chilled camp Joe , best place to be under the canopy in this warm weather . I bet you wondered what was breathing next to you in the morning 😮🦌 TFS atb Dave 👍
Hello Pete. I really enjoyed this one with my hammock . The trangia idea came about at home whilst messing about with it. I accidentally put the Ash pan in it upside down that's when I had the idea. Thank you for watching. Atb
It's great to see you out and about, Joe. Plus it's great to see you in charge of youtube and not the other way around. Hopefully, lots more vids to come; regards, Henry.
Yes indeed Henry. I find it alot better going at this pace with the camping side. Although I am out every weekend with my camera for my other channel I don't always record my exploits . Sometimes it's good to have me time.. atb
Great camp Joe. That early morning sunshine streaming through the trees is just magic. I love my 'frontline' hammock and NI patrol pack, great bits of kit. Really good that you talk about the important message of Leave No Trace. Cheers Lee.
I chose this spot carefully because the sun does appear over the hills to my right . That's the good thing about hammock camps there is literally no trace and the patrol pack are a tardis they do hold alot of kit and it's comfortable in doing so.. atb.
Hi Joe, an excellent camp and a very informative video!! Thank you for sharing, well done!! Keep em coming and see you on the next one!! Great to see you out and about!!👊🤠ATB
Lovely vid. Great to see some kit options. I’ve never really seen the appeal of hammocks, always seems like too many knots to learn. but that looked fab and really simple.
As you know Steve I don't do or like faf so the simpler it is the better , when I set it down at the end it was in real time no editing , I believe it was 6 minutes , the same with the set up.. I will venture to use it more often . Only in summer though, I prefer the hooped bivi in colder weather.. atb.
Hello Paul. I'm glad I used it on this trip I slept well until the deer woke me , as for the coffee I think that was the last time I made it was on my old channel. Who needs filters , plus it tastes better. No more filter for me on camps.. see you in a couple of weeks. Atb
Nice to have kit with dual purpose, that stove idea is a good one. Cracking spot to have a camp. If it makes you feel better about the deer I got woken by a rat this morning on my camp. I know which I'd have preferred. Good to see you looking fit and well Joe :)
When I chose this cook kit combo I did some experiments at home and found that way was best for a trangia , it's a great stove as long as the wood it dry . I am healthy thanks to the wife's diet but fit alas no . My knee problems have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. My days are numbered. Here begins the countdown.
What a quick chill out that was Joe, and food for thought, DD Mk6 bvi/hammock with double waterproof base layer seems a cracking option especially for the older guy with dodgy knees who needs to go to the bathroom at 4am and finds that he is already at stand up height_ might well be the next option. Good to see cook and drinking standards haven't changed, well done. Harry.
The hammock is a good option for this camp . As for knees I've recently been diagnosed with ostio arthritis in my right knee so give me some real jip , it 30 years as a hgv driver that's done it so my walking days are numbered. Thank you for watching Harry always enjoy reading your comments.. atb
Good instructional video Joe and you obviously had a very relaxing camp, well done! Wonder which would be the most comfortable in winter, the hammock with a tarp or the hooped bivi with a tarp? Regards Keith
Well Keith I'd prefer the hooped bivi in colder weather , and I've used mine in sub zero temperatures and alway remained warm. I did use my hammock in winter one time and although I had the under quilt on I was still cold as I recollect.. atb
Great video Joe.. honest, no hard sell and to the point. Loved your old channel so its good to see you back out there.. ( been catching up with your previous vids ). Must watch your photography channel now so I can hopefully learn something !
Hello Martyn . I'm glad I started this camping channel with no percific genre it gives me a chance to try different set ups , and I've alot of kit.. albeit I tend to favour the bivi bag and hooped bivi more.. thank for checking out my photography channel, although I don't think you'd learn much lol I tend to go on with settings and camera jargon thinking that everyone knows what the hell I'm talking about 🤣🤣🤣.
I presume its reference the stove. I just don't follow what everyone else does like you say if it works it works , know ones going to die just because I loaded the thing my way . Although I bet there has been a load of harrumph's thus far.. 🤔 😏.
I was apprehensive when choosing this not being used in awhile but glad I did , and the way I've set my hammock is easier than I thought to hang , the whoopee slings and tree huggers and snake skin make it so easy. I will use it more often . Only in summer though.. atb
Brilliant video Joe very interesting keep them coming when convenient what a beautiful spot for a wild camp cheers Craig.

Your definitely enjoying the most of the beautiful weather. You can't beat the summer sun! 😎
It was a really nice hot day . Hence the hammock choice.. atb

It was a great camp Dave. Just what the doctor ordered, it did wake me up with a start , was a big deer as well.. atb.
Great Vid Joe 👌 👍 👏 Realy Enjoyed Watching and Envious . Stay Safe 🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it. I certainly chose a great spot for my hammock camp and I will go back there again.. atb.
Really enjoyed this camp Joe, thanks for sharing. A very informative and inspiring video 👍
Thank you Gary. Not used the hammock in a few years as I said on the video and I did need a UA-cam refresh before I committed myself... atb.
Great relaxed camp Joe, really enjoyed that. Am liking the wood stove trangia combo. Good idea 👍🏻.
Thanks for sharing mate, ATVB, Pete M.

That’s was a really good video joe
Thank you Patrick. Glad you enjoyed it. Atb.
What a day to spend relaxing in the woods.
It was . Especially after a shift at work. A well deserved rest.

Thank you Barry. I felt alot better after this camp . Totally relaxed. Atb

@@notyouraveragejoe322 … Indeed!! Relaxing with nature-nothing like it, and you brought out useful tips Joe!!👍
Just found your channel and have subbed. Very enjoyable and superbly filmed thank you.
Thank you for subbing the channel. Glad you enjoyed it. Atb Joe

Love my Frontline hammock Joe. I remember watching you make Cowboy coffee way back 👍

Sorry about your knee Joe, me the same, but at least we can look forward to many short scurries into forest for some time to come. Take care. Harry
Cool vid Joe. I've just done the same type of video using a wood gasifier stove and trangia burner. Works a treat.
Yes it did work really well. I came about it because I put the Ash pan in the wrong way .. atb.
Thank you for sharing your adventure! Is that a Jacklore knife from Sandy? Cheers!
Yes it was the jacklore wasp. Atb

@@notyouraveragejoe322 thanks for your reply.. I'm not that good with camera speak at the mo but it all helps. You take seriously good photos mate 👍🏻
Good man Joe, you debunked a lot of "camping myths" there if it works then it's right.
I presume its reference the stove. I just don't follow what everyone else does like you say if it works it works , know ones going to die just because I loaded the thing my way . Although I bet there has been a load of harrumph's thus far.. 🤔 😏.
Like you I just haven’t used my frontline. I must use it this yearATB. 🏕🍻
