The trangia 27 and 25 ( I have both) are very good systems and ideal for stealth camping. I use my 25 for car camping. The only reason I don't take the whole system with me is bulk , the weight isn't an issue.
Lovely spot thanks for taking the time to share. I do like the trangia stove very versatile. Made me smile when you thought you’d forgot the burner 🤣. All the best Pete 👍
Made me laugh , I can't even remember putting the dam thing in there. Was great fun to use it though , I have the 25 also that I use for car camping . Atb.
I have camped here before but further on down , I've never been at the end of this stretch of woods in the spring/summer , I did walk up here in the winter but was to exposed for a camp . ( That was in my hoopedbivi wildcamper days). Atb
So good to see you out again Joe, clearly you merged well with the forest and wildlife, loved your enthusiasm about the pillow, is a def for me now, sleep is so important. In a week or so I'll be out, mission: to sleep a full night in comfort experiment. Great film, thanks for taking us along. Atb. Harry
Well you need that pillow Harry for your upcoming mission . First time in this spot at this time of year , I did venture here in the winter months but its to exposed . Atb
Hello Lee. Yes it is a great spot , the downlands where I live is great for wildcamping with all the little copse and tree lines. The pillow has indeed improved my sleep on camps.. atb joe
Enjoyed this one Joe, the sounds and sights of the woodland. Had to laugh when you thought you'd forgotten your trangia. I am like that on half of my camps.
Yea well I'm older than you and I'm going all dementia like my dad ( god rest his soul) . To be fair I use the kettle alot, on its own ,and normally have the trangia burner in my mug. Mind you wasn't as bad as when I hiked in 3.5 miles and after an 8 mile car trip to get to camp and realise my 2litre of water was still in the tap at home. 🙄
Nice one Joe , you heart sinks when you think you’ve forgot the burner 😂 need to use my trangia more , pillow looks good and you right it does give you a good nights Kip . I use 2 now and what a difference 👍 Tfs atb Dave
I thought that's it camp over , I seriously cannot remember putting the dam thing in the kettle 😒. My sleep on camps have improved alot since I got that pillow , but after reading your comment I might buy another to take but if I do that I'll need a bigger rucksack . Oh god here I go again.
It is hard to find the time , and what I find is when I do have the time or made the time , I find I can't be bothered so I grab my camera instead and go of with that for a couple of hours. The logistics of doing the latter is much easier than the former . But like I said in the video it was a last minute decision and I had to push myself to do so . And I'm glad I did. Sometimes it takes a push.. atb
Great video Joe. I actually felt like I was there with u. the High definition of the picture is unbelievable. take care & see u on the next one. O I now need a pillow like yours looks comfortable.
The sony zv-1 does a really good job . This video was done with me putting in manual exposures for every take , I have time to do that on wildcamps where everything is at a much slower and relaxed pace . P.s get the pillow, it's the nuts.
great vid I have subscibed as I am a basha fan also. I have a berghaus sleep mat but I am always slipping off it and totally agree that a great pillow is a key part of a decent sleep system. What is the point of a sleep system that dosn't provide a good nights sleep. Its not a luxury I agree. looking forward to watching the back catalogue as I am a newbie. Thanks again, its nice to watch a kindred spirit.
I have, over the years of wildcamping, accumulated a ton of wildcamp gear, most of which I have sold on , but I have kept a couple of things back like this set up which is my favourite for wildcamps , quick easy simple , I do have a modified Dutch hooped bivvy but tend to favour this set up. The pillow is still with me and has been on numerous camps and dartmoor expeditions since and has never failed me as far as comfort and sleep are concerned. I have another channel about photography which takes up alot of my spare time plus I make a small amount of money through my photography ( Not from youtube) so that takes president and because of this have not had time to go out and do these sort of camps, my Last one was nearly a year ago, but will endeavour to make time in 2024. Thank you for watching. Good luck and enjoy your wildcamping experiences. It's a blast. Atb joe
Hi Joe, I would like to give you a big you a big shout out. Ive gone and bought myself one of those pillows from Decathalon. Its on my own UA-cam channel. Keep on keeping on, we may bump into each other.
Those pillows are god send it has changed the way I sleep when out camping getting regular 6 to 7 hours solid sleep a night, no more tossing and turning . Hope you get on as well with yours as I do mine, I'm aware alot of people have got the pillow since I put it up on the channel... thank you for the shout out and we may well bump into each other at some point.. thank you for watching. Atb
I recognise you, do you have another channel by any chance? I use to watch you often but this channel I wasn’t subscribed to and I haven’t seen these videos before 🤷♂️
Hello Chris. Yes I use to have a channel called hoopedbivi wildcamper but closed it down due to personal issues. I've since started up a photography channel, a subject I love immensely called Wessex photography and having photography and wildcamping on the same channel proved difficult so started this channel up , Not your average Joe. I don't do alot of camping and this channel is not an influx of wildcamps just as and when I can do them . ( I learnt my lesson last time) . Thank you for watching my exploits Atb Joe
since I've had this pillow my sleep has improved a lot, out like a light and wake with the birds..nothing better. Thank you for your sub and for watching.
I love the Trangia27. Nice to see you out and what a cool pillow. ATB🏕🪵

Great video Joe. Lovely spot. Agree with you about comfort vs weight factor. Pillow looks like a winner. Cheers Lee.

Thanks for that, Joe. Loved the light coming through the trees. I'll have to check out that pillow. 👍🏕️🙂
Was a great sunrise Brian , I just got the backside of it but it did look good coming through the trees. Atb

Lovely vid. I’m finding it So hard to find the time to get out. So it’s lovely to see others enjoying the countryside and taking us with them.

I think the foam pillow is an improvement over the inflatable ones I have tried. Good to see you again.
My sleep in a tent ect has improved ten fold since I got the memory foam pillow, it's highly recommended 👌
A very enjoyable video Joe, glad I’ve found your channel as I was a fan of the old one. Atb. Hardy
Well here's a name I remember. Hello Hardy 👋. I don't do as many camps as I use to . This is at a more relaxed pace .

First video and new subscriber
since I've had this pillow my sleep has improved a lot, out like a light and wake with the birds..nothing better.
Thank you for your sub and for watching.
Even if you did have all 6 batteries, you'd be able to film for maybe 45 mins. LOL
41 minutes 25 seconds actually. I lost the 7th battery to take it to 45 🙄
9:45 " I want this, so I'm having this"
Did you get it . I'm intrigued 🤔
