Thank you for watching. I always try and use knots it's so easy with modern convenience where everything is becoming quick and easy to forget about them. Atb
Morning Craig. I'm pleased to say that the last of the mucked about beer has gone , infact the last two didn't even make it to my most sacred palate. .
Hello to you and sorry for the late reply. The ionosphere is a good shelter but it is a faf setting it up , hence I don't use it often . Sandy ( Wiltshire man) is in fact a close neighbour ( 2 minutes walk) from me and we are good friends . Thank you for the sub and on my other channel also although photography is not to everyone's liking. Atb Joe
Very Very Enjoyable! Great tips for sorting out my set up! Same as yours basically! All snugpak! It’ll be going on my motorcycle! Far away places! Still working that one out! Wetted my appetite for your other videos Cheers, Graham.
Morning Graham. There's a friend of mine up the road who uses his ionosphere for motorcycle tours ,it's perfect for it . Personally, for me and wildcamps, it's a bit of a faf . I did take the ionosphere with me when I walked the south downs ways , I think that's when I started to regret it.. 😂. Think I will stick to tarp and bivvy on wildcamps , but good luck with yours I'm sure you will enjoy it but it's not for everyone.. Thank you for watching.
Used to subscribe to hooped bivi wildcamper glad to see you out with another wild camping channel good content as usual look forward to seeing more thanks Joe !
Nice to see you out camping again Joe, you should have filmed some of the sounds of the rain and wind during the night. The Farrimond friction hitch is a great knot I use it all the time Sandy
That buckle idea on the pack is a great innovation. My new bivvi/tent is similar to yours, and although my last camp didn't have rain the breeze problem was the same I suspect the rain one will be to. Seems the man from DelMonte is making beer now, eww.
Nice honest review Joe, at least the stew went well. I'll be musing the kombat £23 ridge tent French Army replica this spring with bug door and side vents, low to ground slope, only eight pegs. Light 12 kl full kit is the aim. Great to see you out, next time you'll deserve a good sound sleep with ear plugs. All the very best. Harry
Nice one Joe. Thanks for showing the friction knots that you used for your tarp, very useful indeed. I have been trying for ages to get hold of one of those Costco quilts for ages but haven't had any luck so far. That casserole looked like a hearty meal. All the best 🙂
The quilts are on ebay but not very often , try saving a search that way you will get notified. The meal was good really enjoyable the beer however was not. Thank you for watching. Atb
Cracking camp Joe , some tidy looking knots way beyond my limit 😂 Do I get the blame for choice of shelter lol , I was liking the look of the ionosphere but not if it’s faff to put up. Still it looked a well cosy set up , and a tasty looking scoff with some weird name ale 🍺 Tfs atb Dave ⛺️👍
It's a good shelter but getting in feet first and getting out in some contortionist way didn't help. I always try and keep my hand in with knots . I'm glad I used the ionosphere it kind of reminded me why I don't use it often. 😅 thank you for watching Dave. Atb
I've been playing in the garden with my ionosphere today and used an aqua quest tarp as a flysheet. 3*2 just about covers it at a pinch from back to front, plenty room both sides though. you can fold under any excess tarp to suit. I was thinking a winter set up, defender tarp in camo.. looks pretty cool to be honest.
I did use the ionosphere to do the south downs way in a 100mile national trail. It was in the middle of summer and had rain on the last night I did have a 5ft x 3ft tarp with me that I rigged up using my trekking poles , it just gave me enough room to sit under . It was a faf though ....
Great video. The Ionosphere looks good but to much put up and all those pegs! I have the DD superlight tarp S and the Snugpak Stratosphere. Just roll out and use.
It is a complete faf to put up and a bit of a struggle to get in it , but it is roomy inside. I'm going to try the inner with a a tarp at some point.. thank you for watching.
Lovely vid. Respect for those knots. I’ve never got past the reef and figure of eight. Do you have any vids of the South Downs Way it’s on my to-do list for this year if I can find the time.
Hello Steve. I'm not sure I have the video of the south downs way, I know I have a few old videos on my computer . But I can say it is a great national trail to do and there are water taps every 10 miles. If you go on some cycling sites that have the trail the water point are marked on maps. Good luck with it you will enjoy it. Atb

I have the 3x3 green one got it before they did multicam ones , I don't use it that often and when I do it's with my dd hammock. I prefer the British surplus basha I have the DPM and multicam I find these are great with bivi set ups but the tarp s is the right size if only in camo. Thank you for watching.
Good to see you art n abart!
Ita always good to get art n abart 🤣🤣🤣
Your to keen camping out at this time of year.food looked good.👍
Wasn't that bad to be honest, it was warm enough, even overnight when it rained and the wind got up..
Totally agree I've got to brush up with knot knowledge great vid as always 🍻
It's so easy to forget knots but it's good practice to have a few under your belt.
Thank you for watching. Atb
A privilege to share the camp with you, Joe. Thank you. And nice to see you emphaising the absolute basics, in the form of the knots.
Thank you for watching. I always try and use knots it's so easy with modern convenience where everything is becoming quick and easy to forget about them. Atb
right way to think @@notyouraveragejoe322 - when the tech fails, those who rely on it and don't know any other way, well...
"loosely described as ale" - that made me smile. looked very peaceful in that spot. nice one. good tips on the knots - must try that one.
The so called ale was a kin to 🐎 💩.
Where I camp is my favourite place to be . Thank you for watching. Atb
good morning Joe a very enjoyable video hopefully you can get yourself a nice pint of real ale keep the videos coming brilliant stuff

Nice Vid Joe And Informative thanks 😊 👍 👌
Thank you kindly. 😊
Good stuff, Joe. Your meal looked amazing. Even that beer couldn't ruin it. 😋🙂👍🍺
It was really enjoyable but the so called ale gave it a good try 🤔.

Nice camp Joe. Easy meal ideas is the way. Don't know about the beer tho. 😎
Great camp Paul . The beer was indeed 🐎 💩.
But the meal was really easy to do and tasted Great. Thank you for watching Paul.

The ale was rank but it had alcohol in it , it was OK if you pinched your nose whilst drinking it though.

I will look forward to seeing that one Harry. I can't wear ear plugs my ears are to big for them 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Atb.
@@notyouraveragejoe322 🤣🤣🤣 my ears are too small for I can hardly hear anything hence why I talk drivel all the time.

Why two different knots at each end of the centre line. Why not the same each end?
Because I can.
