I dont understand how people manage to strafe with choppers. I speed through perpendicular to my targets with an ah1g and immediately get shot down by a marder
Mostly luck too bad choppers are loud af and easy to spot on.
use the terrain to mask your presence from the enemy while minimizing your radar signature from radar dependent spaag
it takes a lil bit of practice since theres a lot of maps in a rotation

Really excited for this, spent my Saturday just grinding thru the ah64a (grinded 200k rp over 7 hours) just so I could testdrive the radar, but seeing it actually getting used is great!

Since hellfires are the only laserlock atgm on top helis that can change targets. Another strategy i use on SPAA is to fire a hellfire in their direction, and then take cover and pop out again to lock him after the hellfire has already done most of its travel time.

Hey Hunter, I'm new to the channel and I love the stuff. Never seen any good CAS content like this and I've always wanted some tbh. You should try out the Type 130-2 rockets on the J7E/Q-5! They're incredibly lethal and accurate and some of my favorite in the game and would love to see what you can do with it : )

I haven't had any luck with choppers, I just get shot down literally within 2 to 5 seconds of seeing targets. If you ever do a tips and tricks video it would not go unappreciated. Great video. You make it look easy 👍

Today was a great day, so I got researched the AH-64D and waiting for november anniversary discounts to bought it. Looks like playing with scope radar angle and "lock on" enables radar-guided, fire and forget mode, isn't?
Can you maybe also mention the ground radar in your radar controls video explaining the heli radar? I dont rly know if its for air or ground but i could use some help with that im 200rp away from unlocking the z19 with the ground radar

Not worth it, buying squadron vehicles with GE is way more expensive. You could have 2000 research points left and they would charge you 2,000 GE. Just wait until you get it, and save the GE for the modifications to get hellfires so you don't have to suffer through the grind. Trust me it ain't worth buying.

Hey Hunter which loadout do you think is better on my AH-1Z - 8x hellfires and 38 hydra rockets(to counter SAM's) and aim9L's or 16x hellfires and aim9L's?
Hello, if the map has high mountains take 16 Hellfire missiles and use the terrain to avoid SAMs, and if the map with no terrain advantage carry 38 rockets with hellfire to detonate the incoming surface to air missiles.
A few top tier SAM systems can now use IRST. Since the update dropped I've gotten into the habit of turning off my radar as soon as it pings a target and then guiding in my missiles with IRST so it doesn't set off the enemies RWR. RWR won't be as reliable for helicopter pilots and especially jet pilots from now on.

1:19 I think that's because if they leave their base, they either get rekt, or if they manage to kill an enemy tank, they get accused of being one of those people that use AA as a second tank destroyer
People should be able to use SPAA as they please. They're extremely valuable resource in any match. It prevents CAS player to dominate while helping on the ground with rapid movement and great cannon cadency.
Meanwhile the Lvkv 9040C taking the middle of the map while also downing a jet trying to strafe: AA? AT? It's just a difference in shell type to use...
And for those thinking it's the same as using your SPAA as a second TD, my dear friend... I had to disable the enemy tank's barrel and tracks, then kill a BMP that rushed around a corner, THEN I could finally target the Jet doing a pass before I could FINALLY try to disassemble the damn Tank that's spent the last 40 seconds shooting me nonstop with his machinegun...
@@Mirvra I personally don't really agree with the entire "some people use AA as AT" anyway, because most of the time AA has to shoot targets from the side if they have any kind of armour at all, and if you can't spot someone flanking you, you kinda deserve it. If they're camping, it's a different story, but it's not like normal tanks can't camp

From my 🤞🏻Tunguska “point of view” i never switch on my radar. Its show my position and with my thermal im able to find targets sames as radar. But also i dont “warning” enemy choppper or plane. Im always hiding behind some house, the best one is that i can drive around to chooose best line of sight also prevent being hit by rockets or bombs in case they coming. With HE shells, its deadly vehical

Hi, I tried using the apache radar, but the radar modes do not have the radar contacts show up in the hud on the top of the screen. Can you tell me how to do that?
Hello, switch to ground radar and the radar will show contacts on the radar screen, they represent the ground vehicles. Try it in test fly first.
@@Hunter_i86 not on the computer rn, but even in a-g mode, the radar contacts only show up in the radar screen, unlike in this video where it shows it on the top of the screen

He doesn’t actually hit the missile with the rocket lol. The missiles have proximity fuse so a rocket flying near it will detonate the missile.

@@Tentacl Haha, weight doesn’t really matter with helis as you won’t be going to fast either way. This is the best way to defeat surface to air missiles at the moment and is 100% effective once u learn how to. Rockets also weigh very little in this game as well

I had a battle with only 30MM, 3 kills and 4 assists after "Direct Hit" update, I don't know but with the new sounds I feel it is more powerful lol.
