Cmon guys, this track is *fucking magnificent.* Watch the official video. Understand that the bass is kept lighter/mid on purpose, so those subsonic wave hits Devin does stand out. And the vocals are peerless as always. How are you not floored by this?
Have you had a chance to check out the Ocean Machine DVD yet, it will blow your mind, The by request set is performed with a orchestra and choir and he had Squid perform on bass for the ocean machine set and it all takes place in an ancient roman theater, no crazy screens or theatrics just plain out beautiful music, unfortunately there's not much on UA-cam but the box set is well worth buying

This is not one of his better standalone songs. It's just sort of a breather track between heavy tunes.. I think he was trying to finish up his 5 album SYL contract with Century Media at this point. The best songs on this album are not the heaviest ones. I think his heart was in another genre, or at least ready to get out of the box. Fucker (the previous track) and Polyphony (the next track) has some amazing full range wall of sound vibes to them. Almost Again is kind of a breather between those two.
I'd recommend something like Regulator from Ocean Machine/Devin Townsend Band. This is a bit of a departure from the SYL stuff he was doing at the time and I think his first attempt at a "rock" song.
I'll add that to my list but I know exactly what you're saying because I listened to Love? and I have been OBSESSED with it!!!!!
I respectfully disagree. This track sears and soars. Best on the album easily.
