You could argue that Madara is not the strongest character, but he easily takes home the title of being the most tenacious. The dude is like Vegeta. This guy was literally evolving and creating strategies while he single handedly was taking on the entire shinobi world. I think his genius is overlooked because of his raw power and exuberant personality. One of my favorite fictional characters of all time.

I think if they mentioned and hyped up hashirama and madara(madara at the least) then It would've made the fourth shinobi war waaaaaaay more satisfying and I think Masashi Kishimoto wouldn't even felt like he needed Kaguya.

I mean like I love Madara's plan of the Tsuki No Mi, but if Obito understood Madara perfectly, which he didn't, it would've been a peaceful project. But Obito took it wrong and so did Nagato, and then all hell broke loose.
