Please like, share, and leave a comment to be a sweet-smelling incense unto the algogods. Make Pliny roll in his grave.
True magic is actually no less than universal knowledge that is older than anything recorded in human history. Billions or trillions of years old. Teaching methods and periods of documented activities come and go but the true origin is not even on this planet. Still its interesting to learn about periods in more recent history.
Thanks again for your perfect voice and great art illustrate the video.
Here's your sweet comment. I am a child of God. I am nephilum Daughter of god. Nothing about my all seeing knowledge has been fun a memory from 4m old isn't cool. Accidentally hurting people physically and training your babies to not Accidentally kill during play. We are many and it's about to get erased and fixed. Depending on the person on judgment day. You should be seeking y
Our creator instead of teaching this 😢
We could use some legislation banning human sacrifice in these times as well.
I agree with the sentiment but I believe most countries murder laws include this
The Zoroastrians homeland however was Airyana Vaeja, a place in the far north and so this is the ultimate origin of magic. The Celts themselves say that the knowledge of the druids comes from the Northern islands of the Earth
It is mythical place, Celts believed that they came from the west, for example. Zoroaster did not live 6 thousands years before Plato, Gilgamesh was not king 20 thousands years ago, You should not take myths literally
Without a pure cause whether it be for concealing or revealing, yes, without a pure cause everything will be for nought, it would be better to not try than try with half measure, but how can one try with full measure? Is it for passion? Is it for feeling? Is it for pride? Greed? To satiate the unending thirst for knowledge... no... see a full measure of effort can be offered by those of a broken heart and contrite spirit, the praises can be heard at the moment of victory, the sound of a child's needs through tears and howling, yes, we all posess 'magic' some men have Conquered the world, namely Jesus, Jesus Teaches Us The Greatest Teaching, Lose Your Life And Gain It, Covet Your Lige And Lose It... it is the hand which presseth the olive which gets the oil... understand everything you do not want is everything that will cause you to grow... see? It is only through suffering, climbing to the Pinnacle of that which I despise, that I see the scale of the mountain I must remove, it is only from a very high place I see the web tug and pull at destiny... you want the truth? You cannot handle the Truth, unless you become broken first, destroy all that you know so that a pure temple may be lifted from the ash...
@@arturhashmi6281 The Celts don't all have the same origin so it's impossible to say they came from north, south, east or west unless we talk about specific Celts. Gilgamesh reigned around 2700 BCE, which is approximately 4,700 years ago.
@@david-jr5fn Celts as any indo-european ethnic group came to Europe from Asia thats what I meant, but british Celts believed that they came from the west, You are right about historical Gilgamesh, If he was real, but some of the sumerian kings from their own chronicles ruled ~ 40k years bc, which is just impossible, thats what I meant again

Nice video, great editing as always.
If you're wondering about "Hermippus, who wrote about the whole craft very carefully, compiled abstracts for and commentaries on the two million verses written by Zoroaster", see FGH 1026 F57 (courtesy of Daniel Ogden).
What is that?

Yes, thanks
“That these doctrines should have been received by any portion of mankind, and transmitted to us by the aid of memory, is to me surprising beyond anything I can conceive”.
Beyond anything you were able to conceive, indeed.
Once again, many thanks for all your work. Very much appreciated!
Thanks as always Mark.
Just would like to say. Thanks for your amazing work. Love and peace. Glyn
Thank you for reading this classic, I enjoyed it.
One of my favorite books. Great reading. Thank you.
Making my day . Wonderful artworks and reading 😇
🙏
Your the best thanks for all you do
I wonder if perhaps you can do a few videos of shamanism/ancestral magic surely all the arts stemmed from it
Thanks for your work man! Much appreciated 💙
Always great to see a new upload!
So stoked you keep cranking these audiobooks out. This is the content I am here to see.
Greetings from Chattanooga, TN. I love the topic and the art presented here is such that I could look at it forever. There's more going on than just art I feel. Thanks for your time and for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.
I mean, I was glad to see David brought in this year, both these guys are underrated even Chris as a mega pro deserves that rec!

Interesting presentation very good video
This was awesome, Dan- keep up the excellent work 👏
Thanks Jason
So happy I’ve found this channel. Thank you 🙏

Lots of interest here...from the discussion of the Druids (which, I think, really needs to be taken into account when discussing the later Insular Celtic "druids" as if they're more sacerdotal rather than sorcerous!) to the mention of the cynocephalus plant, which I am now wondering if it made it into my discussion of Dogheads or not...I remember coming across the reference, but I might not have included it since it was talking about a plant rather than a monstrous race, though I'll have to check, as this is something that I know I agonized over whether or not to include even in a footnote. (Strange how such things that seem so big in the moment of research and writing can be so easily forgotten a decade and more onwards...!?!)
Looking forward to speaking further soon! Thanks for your continued excellent work!
I like the video and will be watching many more of your content. My friends like the magic trick where I disappear for some reason. One of these sentences is true and one is false ...you decide.
You have a wonderful fireside voice! Please, add no music to your future readings! Listening to your readings makes me feel like I’m in a dark and cosy library chamber in a manor lit only by a fire place!

Heck ya dan
Even the disciples through lots to determine who would be the new disciple bus win such an art, as drawing lots which is a part of the magical arts is conducted in accordance with God and Soli guard then it is not an abomination to his eyes, but pleasing to his will and those who can see understand this most occult truth of the occult

I find some of the dates wrong? Zoroastrianism was in 1768 B.C.E. or so ! 😮
persians in 1768 BC...zoroaster i believe was alive around 900a.d. or 1100 years ago

Pliny the elder, glad we have what little ww do.
What about Pico and his natural magic?
What about it?
@@TheModernHermeticist I'm surprised there was no mention of natural magic as describe by him in Oration on dignity on man.

Bibbty Boptty BOO
Biggest magic lies within the kjv bible, for those who read it spiritually… 22 Hebrew Alphabet in Psalms 119… Then again, all religions have the same magic just different names…
correct!!❤❤ the bible is just 1 big magic book, with "yeh-zues" as its greatest magi...
Who else clicked on this because they thought the dude Barney Gumball got into a bar fight and flogged Wade Boggs over also catalysed the conventional application of magic….
“Lord Palmerston”!
The only reason that Simon, the sorcerer displeased God so much was that his sorcery was not conducted in accordance with God in Sol, Egret God, or even the healing arts, and magics of the apostles, or it could be called nothing other than magic was not an abomination in the eyes were God, because it was done in accordance with God, and solely of God
PLEASE CHANGE TITLE FROM MAGIC TO MIRACLE.
"Magic doesn't work because Nero quit practicing. Nero, being insanely greedy, wouldn't have quit if it works, therefore it doesn't work." Not very solid logic from my man Pliny the Elder.
and how do you explain "steve jobs"?
@@lunam7249 Steve Jobs? wtf. Jobs was no magician! He was a narcissistic moron who couldn't even connect with his own children. He was just a corporate avatar. Jobs died miserable, shaking with cancer, and regretting his entire life. He was a peasant, lots of money in the bank, but he died a very poor man. Cool sweaters though!
