this is an interesting idea, although you could have portrayed it a little more clearly i still managed to grasp the core subjects you were trying to say
Thanks. I appreciate the comment. sometimes that happens. The idea is still a difficult one for me tbh, but I think the seed is there for someone who wants to develop some theory. like, what actually constitutes a "sign"? are there divisions within what i called here "the media in which there can be Sign"? given a sign, how do we then rationalize it? is there always a "correct" way of rationalizing it? Probably I could spend a week looking at all these questions, and most likely I will haha.
i actually love this idea- sometimes it feels like things i’ve done (although this wasn’t the point of the video) were by different people. without sign, i wouldn’t have even thought i’d have done that, but sometimes it is necessary to understand the world. why is math the way it is? well, we have sign, which is the proofs created by said mathematicians
yeah, in proof the sign is sometimes mysterious. We've tried to reduce it to some kind of syntactical relationship between statements, but there must also be a sign suggesting to us its okay to do that.
@@Ryans_Science maybe sign could just be our logic and reasoning, not really a force. our logic is what makes us believe that “hey this makes sense”, so it’s not fully out of the picture
@@fourone1254 idk, I think sign is quite a mystery. I see more like a manner of presence that's guide the possibility of what can be believed at each moment, but that's just me.

@@BreezeTalk i'll try to remember that. since currently all i have is a quarter's worth of C++ and the class ended just when things started to get interesting

Are you enrolled for a degree at the moment?
not currently. I stopped after getting my BA in math. i've been debating going back to school to learn some programming skills though
