I saw this recipe a few months ago and decided to try it out and it came out DELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my daughter eating all the feet out tha pot! I made with butter beans instead of potatoe or chick peas. Yummy!!
Hey are you from the Bronx!!! Moms has been gone for about 20 years. When i cooked your recipe i was in heaven, i don't cook that often cause i'm not that great, following your recipe was easy and it took me back home to my moms cooking.. celly thank you!!! one big biker dude.. harley davidson for ever!!!
Very clear, easy to understand way to cook this dish! Thank you for taking the time to make this video. The supermercado I go to sells a lot of patitas de puerco, so I've been wanting to learn how to cook them. They don't call me El Guapo Gringo for nothing!
I TRIED THIS AND IT WAS SO GOOD LOVE THE RECIPES. YOU MY IT REAL EASY TO LEARN. KEEP THEM COMING. MY MOM FROM ECUADOR AND DAD FROM P. R. THEY BOTH WERE COOKS FOR THE CASINOS IN A.C. SO THERE HOME COOKING WAS NEVER REALLY FROM EITHER OF THEIR COUNTRIES THANKS TO MY GRANDMA I WAS ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THE ECUADORIAN STYLE COOKING SHE'S REALLY OLD AND HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO COOK FOR A LONG TIME. SO BEING ABLE TO WATCH YOU COOK AND LEARN TO DO WHAT MY GRANDMA COOKED IS GREAT THANKS AND KEEP THEM COMING.
I have cooked this several times and absolutely love it I just need to follow the recipe exactly.i also make my own sofrito I use in this recipe. I am Asian descent and a foodie but I am just like a gringo but I think I should have been born Puerto rican.my uncle use to call me crazy Puerto Rican when I was young thank you celi
i love pigs feet i also eat them from the jar my abuela use to make this stew on sundays when i was younger and now seeing your video is making me hungry. Great video chica i enjoy watching your videos. Cuidate
that was such a sweet comment and i am glad that my cooking took you back to those special moments, people who try me food always tell me things like that. i guess my cooking has that old school flavor of grandmas kitchen..hope you keep watching and i'm glad you enjoyed this recipe.
hi sorry i did not get back to you quicker, i only wash them with vinegar i don't add vinegar in the stew.. if you have no vinegar on hand you could always wash them with some lemon or just plain water..now when you start cooking the feet, you first make sure they start boiling then once its boiling you bring down the heat and let simmer. if you keep it on high they will just break apart and become a mush.. hope they turned out great and thanks for watching my videos.. Celly
Thank you for posting this recipe, your video made it so easy to follow. My mom past away 20 years ago, she would make this all the time, when I was done wih your recipe, It was like standing in Mami's cocina. Thanks for taking be back.
When I first saw this I was like this i have to try, I make pig feet a couple of times a year since is one of my fav dish. So today I decided I would make it your style of stew, My own stew is yummy but the whole punkin thing I knew I had to try since I love my habichuelas with it Gracias!! I am cooking your estilo right now!
I wanted to thank you for posting your recipe. I followed every step but i added the galbanzos and it came out great. So far i have cooked. your recipe twice in one month. Please post more of any recipe you might have.
REally excellent recipe. I love my pigfeet mushy and soft but Celly's recipe is right on point. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and skills.
I LOVE Patitas Guisada. My mom used to put regular canned pinto beans in the guiso instead of garbanzos. I made your recipe, and they turned out SO AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing this.
OMGOOSH! Yesterday *Sunday* I had invited a friend over for dinner, and I stewed a humongous pot of Pigs Feet..It taste wonderful!! I tweaked the recipe just a tad by way of adding two tables spoons of distilled vinegar to the broth* Dominican Style*. And let me tell you, my guy whose also Dominican loved it.! Thanks again Celly for sharing! I now have another entree I can add to my Thanksgiving menu.
We never have leftover so I never use it for arroz con gandules. I usually use ham or ham hocks even smoked pork. Sometimes I don't put meat in the rice too. Glad you like.
this looks a winner! i will try this for sure.. i love pig feet! I'm glad you made this video.. i like your pot too ( : where u got it from? thanx! BTW, I'm a new subscriber.

Its a great pot and i have used it for so many wonderful recipes… please keep watching and tell your friends..CElly
hi thanks for watching but if you listen to the video i only wash the pig feet in vinegar and i boiled them with a onion. i usually like washing all my meats with vinegar or lemon. I like boiling it with a onion because i feel the onion gives the feet extra flavor, you have to cook the feet at least an hour before you finish the stew...
hi thanks, if you watch most of my videos i do use garlic and the homemade sofrito that i use for this video and others actually is made with about 25 garlic cloves. so i guess you could say i do love garlic..
I missed how you cleaned the meat in vinegar. Do you place in bowl with vinegar and dump the vinegar. Or! Do you rinse with water the vinegar off the meat after?
I love patitas, my mil used to make them for me for my bday, but I have recently relocated, the part where you say the chick peas.can be added, can I use canned kidney beans instead?
no, i only wash the feet with vinegar, but the recipe does no have vinegar. It;s just my preference to wash my meets with vinegar and lemon, after i wash with water..
I forgot to mention, When we have leftovers (rarely lol) we'll take all the meat off of the bones and us it in our Arroz Con Gandules. If you haven't already, you should definitely try it. Let me know if you do :)
Still coming back to this recipe every time I make patitas!!!! Thank you for such an awesome recipe.
So do I. It’s such a good dish.
I saw this recipe a few months ago and decided to try it out and it came out DELISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my daughter eating all the feet out tha pot! I made with butter beans instead of potatoe or chick peas. Yummy!!
