This was the perfect reaction video. You listened to the song, reacted with expression or with text, you let the song play out and then gave you reaction at the end. Well done! probably one of my favorite reaction videos!

Thank you for sharing your reaction. I do not call this a cover song. It is an experience and stands on its own merit. Cover or not, Doesnt matter i. It is its own power and emotion. If you don't get chills, or emotional or tears then there is something seriously wrong with you. He goes from a voice of Angel wings fluttering to a growl that grabs your soul. We are 77 and 80. Tears and goosebumps each time we listen. David Draiman possesses an impressive vocal range that spans over three octaves, ranging from a low of E2 to a high of C6. Amazing

WOW ,What a beautiful, heartfelt, reaction.!!! 💗 Absolutely a voice of an Angel 😇,yet with the authority to make sure you hear what he's singing about .A true messenger for GOD.Heed this warning.... before it's to late.🥺🌎
I always love, and personally believe, that Simon and Garfunkel were a silent warning about the technology and Disturbed is the rage of anger that nobody listened.
Terry Sheldon 0 seconds ago Art Garfunkle went to Columbia in New York. He met a guy named Greenberg who loved music an d literature like Garfunkle and they became great friends and soon roommates. One day Greenberg was at a baseball game and his eyes started failing on him. Soon he was completely blind. Greenberg quit school and went home and fell into a great depression. Garfunkle visited him often trying to convince him to get back to Columbia. Garfunkle told Greenberg to call him "Darkness" in sympathy. One day Garfunkle took Greenberg to Grand Central Station (10,000 people, maybe more.) Garfunkle told Greenberg he forgot he had to be somewhere and up and left him there to find his own way home (over streets of cobblestone...) Greenberg finally made it back and bumped into someone who said, "sorry." Greenberg recognized Garfunkles voice. Garfunkle was with him all the way home. Greenberg got his confidence back, went back to school and when Garfunkle needed money to get his first record cut, Greenberg gave him his last $400. Greenberg became a wealthy business man and the $400 got Simon Garfunkle's music career started.
Wait until you hear him perform this song together with Miles Kennedy for secondary vocals lmao They form the ultimate harmony together, and, David wasn't sick that day c:
Vee you are going to do great in reaction videos. Do't ever interrupt the artist singer like so many do. You facial expressions and text says it all. Now go and listen the original by Simon and Garfunkel. Paul Simon wrote this song in 1963 and it most likely has been covered by singers or instruments over a 1000 times. Paul Simon said of David Draiman after hearing this cover - ITS YOUR SONG NOW! The biggest compliment this mega star could ever make. If you get the urge watch the movie "The Graduate". It was used in the opening scene and really set the stage for the rest of the movie. The song and movie are timeless and 100 years from now humanity will be begging for these artists! Once again Vee - Great Job!
The world the words to what this song really means is that there's no connection there's nobody's not really talking and connecting the people there's no emotional connection to anybody and it's weird how it was written back in the 60s and we are now living in the world of Silence
„The Sound of Silence“, written in 1963/1964 by Paul Simon and first sang by Simon & Garfunkel welcomed its first endorsed cover by Disturbed (David Draiman) 50 years after its debut. Now, 57 years later and still only, maybe, 1% of those who know the song really understand it. 57 years later and there are still no better words to describe the decay of society and humanity. If you're one of those who do not understand it, find someone to translate it for you because you're missing out on something special.
David Draiman is a classically trained vocalist and was a trained cantor in the Jewish faith. The pianist and the two guitarist in this video are the rest of his band.
My interpretation of this song, revised: This song is written with two separate people or consciousnesses singing it. Those that are waking up and those that have been awake for a very long time. The first, third and fifth verse is sung from the perspective of the unawakened and the second and forth verse are sung from the perspective of the awakened. Hello, darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence Hello, darkness, my old friend is about people that have been kept in the dark and they're telling the darkness that they are experiencing something new in their vision. They (the awakened/aware ones) planted the seeds of truth/Light, and they are just starting to become aware. In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a streetlamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence There are fewer of the awakened, and they feel as if they are alone under the Light of truth, because they refused to by into the lies the dark has been trying to feed them. Then one day they saw a crack in the armor of dark, they saw a opportunity to break the sound of silence. And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share No one dared Disturb the sound of silence And in that moment they saw all of the light workers/star seeds (awakened Ones) telling those that were still asleep the truth/Light, through telepathy those that were sleeping heard and saw the truth/Light in a very subtle way, but yet they couldn't share this Light/truths with anyone for fear of being attacked by those that controlled the sound of silence. They wrote the truth in songs, the truth had to be give covertly as not to disturb the sound of silence (the dark). And when the people became aware of the Light/truth and realized that they had been in darkness the whole time, it really pissed them off. "Fools," said I, "You do not know Silence like a cancer grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you." But my words like silent raindrops fell And echoed in the wells of silence They reached out to those still in slumber, trying to give them Light/truths, but they wouldn't open their minds to new truths, instead remained in the sound of silence. And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said, "The words of the prophets Are written on the subway walls And tenement halls And whispered in the sounds of silence." The people were so caught up in working hard to pay for all of the things, the boats, cars, electronics, all of the toys that they covet. They couldn't see or hear the truth, they were too distracted by consumerism. The awakened/prophets have been trying to tell them through their songs and poems, and that whisper of Light/truth awakened the people from their slumber and they became ONE. Did you notice the ship sailing into the Light at the end of the studio version?

Until some band Pentatonix had to do a cover of this song and it was terrible horrible my wife hated their cover
It took two bands… two renditions and half a century to finally see this song perfected and I feel finally completed.
Awesome thanks 😊
Absolutely loved your reaction!
Thank you!! 😁
This is my favorite rendition of this song and I appreciate you doing captions and letting the song play while reacting. I've seen so many of these but most of them that post reaction videos pause it to give their 2cents instead of waiting until the end.
I appreciate you
Thanks 😊
Lol great reaction
Thanks Vee , this was cool!
Wonderful reaction to a brilliant singer!
Beautiful reaction!! R.I.P Pops. 9-6-08

Great video Vee x
Thanks for watching
WOW ,What a beautiful, heartfelt, reaction.!!! 💗 Absolutely a voice of an Angel 😇,yet with the authority to make sure you hear what he's singing about .A true messenger for GOD.Heed this warning.... before it's to late.🥺🌎
Very cool! Nice to see another music fan!
Hey, thanks!
he was extremely sick with the flu or a bad cold - and this is the best version.
I always love, and personally believe, that Simon and Garfunkel were a silent warning about the technology and Disturbed is the rage of anger that nobody listened.
Wow....very well-stated.
Same comment on every reaction. It’s not all that profound to begin with. “Like fisherman” detected
That is a tremendous perspective. you really made me think about this. I LOVE S& G, but this one blew me away.
This version is my top 3 of all time of all songs I've heard. Goosebumps almost every time. Thank you for your video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
this one of the few songs can call a religious experience
I said the same thing. It touched my soul. Cry every time I hear this. Brilliant
I don't think there will ever be made or sung like this again, ever!!!
His name is David Draiman. When music God speak to u it's a good song
Check out Chris Cornell - "Nothing Compares 2 U" (Prince Cover) [Live @ SiriusXM] | Lithium.
You did this reaction right! Just let this one play out. Your animation was perfect!
Loved watching you actually react to this song. I have heard it hundreds of times, including in concert, and I still get chills every time
Now you need to see the original video the imagery adds sooo much more drama. Plus David was quite sick with the flu in this version.
Fun fact: he had the flue while performing this. He. Was
Sick. And he still did...well...this.
What a Blessing! God trying to get our attention!! Jesus is Truth ❤️

Art Garfunkle went to Columbia in New York.
Great reaction video! You’ve earned a new subscriber! Thanks and God bless!
Thanks for subbing!
David Drayman. He’s got the voice of an angel.
Parabéns linda música
Shakespeare's sister-Stay
🙏🏼effortless ..
Wait until you hear him perform this song together with Miles Kennedy for secondary vocals lmao They form the ultimate harmony together, and, David wasn't sick that day c:
I just reacted to that rendition..lol
@@VeeOnoja Sounds like something to check out :D
Just so you know he was a trained as vocally as a opera Singer. 😊
If you're one of those who do not understand it, find someone to translate it for you because you're missing out on something special.
hmmm watch Mimi and Josephine Creep blind audition and post ;)
David Draiman is a classically trained vocalist and was a trained cantor in the Jewish faith. The pianist and the two guitarist in this video are the rest of his band.
My interpretation of this song, revised:
This song is written with two separate people or consciousnesses singing
it. Those that are waking up and those that have been awake for a very
long time. The first, third and fifth verse is sung from the perspective
of the unawakened and the second and forth verse are sung from the
perspective of the awakened.
Hello, darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
Hello, darkness, my old friend is about people that have been kept in
the dark and they're telling the darkness that they are experiencing
something new in their vision. They (the awakened/aware ones) planted
the seeds of truth/Light, and they are just starting to become aware.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a streetlamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
There are fewer of the awakened, and they feel as if they are alone
under the Light of truth, because they refused to by into the lies the
dark has been trying to feed them. Then one day they saw a crack in
the armor of dark, they saw a opportunity to break the sound of silence.
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
And in that moment they saw all of the light workers/star seeds
(awakened Ones) telling
those that were still asleep the truth/Light, through telepathy
those that were sleeping heard and saw the truth/Light in a very subtle
way,
but yet they couldn't share this Light/truths with anyone for fear of
being attacked
by those that controlled the sound of silence.
They wrote the truth in songs, the truth had to be give covertly as not
to disturb the sound of silence (the dark). And when the people became
aware of the
Light/truth and realized that they had been in darkness the whole time,
it really pissed them off.
"Fools," said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you."
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
They reached out to those still in slumber, trying to give them
Light/truths, but they wouldn't open their minds to new truths, instead
remained in the sound of silence.
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence."
The people were so caught up in working hard to pay for all of the
things, the boats, cars, electronics, all of the toys that they covet.
They couldn't see or hear the truth, they were too distracted by
consumerism. The awakened/prophets have been trying to tell them through
their songs and poems, and that whisper of Light/truth awakened the
people from their slumber and they became ONE. Did you notice the ship
sailing into the Light at the end of the studio version?
This interpretation is beautiful... Thanks for sharing
Please can you react to Voctave "Mary did you know"?
Your remark about your own hands -- LOL!
