Oh yeah, another thing, I have probably seen this a hundred times over the last couple years, ( reaction videos), and I get goose bumps every freakin time!
David Draiman (singing) was very sick during this performance but he didn't want to disappoint the audience so he gave it all he could and it is phenomenal
An epic song from my childhood and Disturbed nailed it with their version of grit. I've heard others cover this and they just never measured up until now. Great reaction guys.
Recently found the channel from the rich men north of Richmond video and love your content.. a really good song for a reaction is “brother joe” by Ole 60. Amazing story with a southern rock style
This is a cover of the original by Simon and Garfunkel. You really should listen to the original, completely different vibe. It was first released in 1964.
I read comments from other reactor's channels that the show used "auto-tune" for this performance, and apparently the singer didn't know. He was upset when he found out, they said.
...just found your channel today and love it..great content and commentary....am looking forward to your next video....for country: Georger Jones: He stopped Loving Her Today; classic rock: Canned Heat: either Going Up Country or On the Road Again..
Welcome back guys! Cool that you did this one. Great cover by Disturbed and what a voice... "And the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made!" My favorite part 😀
Don't know how to request, but check out Pete and Bas. They are 70 and rappers from the UK. They kill it in longthorn Shotgun, Sindu Sesh, and Golf with Norman Pain who also has a Sindu Sesh.
Great reaction and spot on. This was perfection. If you haven’t seen the movie Interstellar, you should do it asap as it’s a perfect movie. Bring Kleenex.
Great reaction, Def check more Disturbed, Don't Tell me, Bad Man and Unstoppable are recent releases from their last album and are fantastic songs, enjoy 🤘
Listen to the Light, and A Reason to Fight, and Hold on to Memories, and their cover of If Ever I Lose My Faith in You and Their song with Ann Wilson from Heart, Don't Tell Me, or any of their songs. They are an outstanding band that does not get the credit they deserve!
Hey , guys, you have to check out, a few bands first one is Skid row. 18 and life music video. Guns n Roses knocking on heavens door , live at Freddie mercury's tribute concert . And Alice in chains MTV unplugged nutshell or down in a hole. All amazing. Enjoy.
I was also a musician in that time of Simon and Garfunkel...and in that time, there was a war against the establishment...as like today, the war on information, for truth of war , civil rights, human rights, etc......But...Back in that day, you were alone. There was no internet, social media, no pagers, no answering machines, no copy machines, no electric typewriters etc....just A.M. radio, tv with 3-4 fuzzy stations, newspapers, nickel adds...To speak up publicly in those days you paid a price with arrest, being sent to nut farms, etc...If you complained by phone...you had to pay 10 cents a minute, to be put on hold, transferred to 10 different places (The run around) at your expense...Everyone knew of the rotten establishment but kept silent...The only information that could get away with providing information (truth), were Comedians through sarcasm, and musicians through the words of their music...But...any time a person, band, a group had access to masses of people, by popularity...They were considered a threat of having dangerous influence upon masses...Many groups were broken up, plane crashes, overdoses, etc...But the messages they made, were understood by the people, but in silence...ALL bands, groups, comedians, etc...have been bought out, and re-directed to satanic crap, or sex, for contracts...Voice to skull technology has been around for the last 50 years...( but a lot longer than my lifetime of being awake to the knowledge, of man-made gadgetry) ...These songs do dwell in the wells of silence, and like disturbed re-surfaced and enhanced this song in the most powerful way, that is inspiring... yet without the actual meaning. The official video is the most perfect interpretation of that song in that time...
You guys should react to the original by Simon and Garfunkle. Paul Simon has a lot of great music out. He is an amazing song writer, singer, musician. Love your videos. Thanks.
You said you're not a metal fan anymore... I would assume what you're familiar with is Down with a Sickness the album. A lot of the newer stuff has got a bit of a softer side to it, I highly recommend the songs The Light, Prayer, Don't Tell Me (duet with Ann Wilson from Heart) and Hold on to the Memories to really explore David Draiman's voice. Although, it is all there in the heavy stuff too, a lot of people just didn't know where to look or why they liked the band so much until Sound of Silence.
The original was light, and bouncy. This version, same words, really draws on your emotions, and makes you listen to the words. Epic performance!! Loved your reactions!
A vocal coach pointed out the autotune in this version and i cant unhear it. Lol But he has a vocal injury, so its understandable. I've seen him do it live and he can definitely do it.
@Sir_Waddles_III He didn’t have a vocal injury, he had the flu and a high fever. That’s why he had the stool to sit on. They used auto tune without his knowledge, despite him saying he didn’t need it. He was angry when he found out.
It's best to hear the original iconic Simon & Garfunkel first. Two different vibes from the same song/message. Industry practice is to use autotune on EVERYthing. He really doesn't need it.
I'm biased, being someone who grew up with the music of Simon & Garfunkel but this just doesn't compare to the original for me, one of the greatest ever songs. I hope you can fit it in sometime. Cheers
The wife and I just recently subscribed to y'all. We love seeing young people reacting to the music we grew up with. We were young when this song was originally done by Simon and Garfunkel. Now you need to check out Dan Vasc singing Amazing Grace. He has a lot of songs that he did in his way that are more like upgrades than covers. Another group you really need to check out is Home Free. Start with Man of Constant Sorrow, a song that is over a 100 years old that was in a movie with George Clooney called Oh Brother Where Art Thou. They are an a cappella group that are amazing. When you listen to them keep in mind that all sounds you hear are their voices only.
From what I always heard the night he sang this he had a bit of a sore throat which made his voice a little raspier than usual. I absolutely love this. Thank you both for the memory. Keep up the good work.mi love your reactions ❤
You guys are great. Plz react to Grand Funk Railroad, 1969 live, Inside Looking Out. By the way, love this version but Simon and Garfunkel's was great.
This is a great mix for a live show. You can definitely tell it's not a lip sync track because you can hear a few vocal flubs. David Draiman is a trained Cantor...he was actually sick with the flu when he did this performance.
The singer for Disturbed was sick at the time with the flu, so that really was an allsome performance.
He actually had a lesion on one of his vocal cords and had to slightly modify his singing.
Oh yeah, another thing, I have probably seen this a hundred times over the last couple years, ( reaction videos), and I get goose bumps every freakin time!
Me too 😢😂😂😂
He's actually a classically trained vocalist with the range of A2 to F4. Amazing he sings "Down With the Sickness"!
David Draiman is classically trained, plus the other thing is that his idol or role model was in fact Freddie Mercury (d.1991) of Queen.
HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL! ♥️
Official video is really good too.
Love you guys! Big hearts! Keep it up friends!
This is my favorite song by the way he surprised me on his style. Even Paul Simon gave him the song cause he sang it the best
Great, great channel and couple!! Can’t wait to see what you react to next!!
BEAUTIFUL SONG! ♥️
You should try Grand Funk Railroad the live version of Inside Looking Out. It is pure energy!
Nice reaction.
Recently found the channel from the rich men north of Richmond video and love your content.. a really good song for a reaction is “brother joe” by Ole 60. Amazing story with a southern rock style
This was so good the prep crew and stage hands came out to watch
I agree that you should do the original. Also the official video as well. The visuals are amazing with the music…
This is a cover of the original by Simon and Garfunkel. You really should listen to the original, completely different vibe. It was first released in 1964.
Goosebumps!... exactly

I'd only watched the original Simon and Garfunkel version. This cover is insanely good.
Welcome back guys! Cool that you did this one. Great cover by Disturbed and what a voice... "And the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made!" My favorite part 😀

I remember the original rendition.
This just kicked ass.

Been a while, hope all is well with you both
Pete & Bas - slap the stick. They have a catalogue.
Such a great cover; it hits so much differently than the original. David doing some vocal gymnastics here. 💛🤘🤙✌️
