    Hi I have riddled all my soil and it is pretty light with just tiny stones, I never used sand, and I've already put it down and its rained, but I'll wait to it dries out, anyway my question is this, there's no grass, just soil so starting from scratch, now I want to get it level should I use the lute lawn leveller, or a landscape rake, I want to get it as level as possible, but not sure which is the best tool to use, I originally thought a lawn roller, but alot of people think that's a bad idea.
    So the lute, or the landscape rake, seems a better option, although I thought the lute was used only on established grass to level low spots, until I saw you using it on your prepared soil, I can get a ready made lawn leveller aka lute, off Ebay for £55, or a landscape rake from screwfix for £40, I don't want to get both though because my project has already cost me a good bit, so what one will level it out the best, people are raving about how the landscape rake done a great job levelling out there soil in the reviews, but I would appreciate what one you thinks best for my levelling job, hope you get back to me soon as I need to start seeding soon, before colder weather sets in, I'm in Scotland, Thanks.

    I like the video, easy to understand. I am due a bit of leveling next season in the front lawn. I am using a soil/sand 30/70 mix. I have not screened my soil and I will this time. I only level a very small section of my “show lawn” I think I will reseed at that time as well with Mazama and start a low mow. I am not going to reel mow until the Mazama takes over. I have to thin out my KGB, it is very thick. I do not know how several varieties of KBG with Mazama will do but I will see.

    • @PrincessCutLawnCare
      @PrincessCutLawnCare  4 роки тому +1

      Lol show lawn... I like that:) Just curious why you choose mazama? is it a shaded area? I believe mazama is in the elite blend that seedsuperstore offers so it should do well

      Princess Cut Lawn Care, I am in Northern Illinois, so we get some cold long Fall Seasons. I also have a American Maple Tree in my front lawn left, so it is always in the shade. My front lawn right is in the Sun but will do just fine it is only 600 sf. My house is on a cul-de-sac and I have a wide sidewalk dividing my left and right front lawn, my driveway takes up my right side to the rear. I have 16,500 SF total all on the sides and back. So I focus on the front and play with the back. I have to keep everything neatly groomed because it is HOA, but I am a yard freak so what looks messed up to me looks nice to others.
