We need to come together and let this Tyrant City know that we will not tolerate their disrespectful & illegal behavior toward our fellow free man and woman. The Unconstitutional Policy needs to go immediately! We can accomplish this goal together! Peacefully. Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I will never understand why auditors allow govt employees to say "you can't record because there's confidential information there." Why don't auditors JUMP on that and say "So, you admit to allowing people without cameras to view confidential information!"

Only a total fool or an utterly ignorant person would recommend to stop exercising God given civil rights as a solution to avoid feeling resistance and unlawful abuse from unconstitutional communist oppressors, in case you hadn't noticed.
And the operative word is "irrationally" and I would add (more correctly), "ignorantly". They are civilly and criminally violating both NY State and Federal Law, and they don't even know it (because they've never had to face the consequences and no one (such as the City Attorney or District Attorney) has ever educated them on the law. The latter two are also likely ignorant of the law.

But...he just can't seem to be able to help himself. It's unfortunate, because otherwise, he's a pretty likeable and entertaining guy.

We don't pay anymore taxes then we should. If they do raise taxes then civil disobedience( everyone just dont pay they taxes) by the population is the answer.

I feel very fortunate to have been born and raised in a country where the taxpayers have a right to view and record how their tax money is being spent. If this right is taken away from us corruption will spread here just like it does in other countries.

Every public government building needs to have a copy of the "Bill of Rights" on the wall so they can be reminded of what their job is. It is so sad that none of the public servants know what their job or what our rights are. How do they not know anything about their job.

I've worked for many businesses over the years, and none of those businesses had security and none of the employees were ever in fear for their safety. The fact these people are so afraid of the society they "serve" says a lot.

I used to work for the Army and the Department of Homeland Security. It was OUR responsibility to safeguard and properly secure any confidential data. We are freaking trained on this twice a year. There are guidelines and recommendations on how we can keep this information secured. This security supervisor is DEAD WRONG 😑 it’s the clerks and officers responsibility to keep any confidential information OUT OF SIGNT! unbelievable. THE LIES.

We have the same thing in the UK. We call it GDPR, basically Data protection. The onus is on the government, business etc to safeguard that information. If its on public view, having it on camera is irrelevant. Whether you can see it with your own eyes or hear confidential information that is their doing.

The amount of cover letter briefings I've had working with the DoD is insane... it is my job as the person with the data to not leave it in plain view. Period.

That supervisor of security was amazing! He was so patient and accommodating. He definitely was a great representation of his city. Great job. Love this one.
He was smart. He tried his best to follow the policy. Once he was in a tough spot, he let a security to observe Sean. Now the question is, do they provide the same hospitality to everyone else who goes into that building. Searching Sean and audit wasn't difficult. They just managed the situation. While it's nice that he FINALLY allowed you to exercise your rights, it's a shame that a citizen has to go through all that rigamarole just to do so. If I'm trying to conduct my business in that building, I have every right to document my experience, and how I am treated. I shouldn't have to face down multiple security guards and/or police officers, as well as risk being kidnapped and thrown in a cell just to do so.
I appreciate your fortitude for sticking up for your rights, but the average citizen shouldn't have to have such fortitude just to get their business done.
You were initially denied access by the security guard so you have standing…you were granted special access that 99.9% of the people don’t know to fight for which isn’t right. Please fight to get this changed. I’m so tired of hearing how keeping us safe requires us to give up our freedom and rights. The fact they say we will arrest you and then you can bring suit is the core of the problem. They themselves aren’t personally liable for the suits, they use our tax dollars instead.
So true! How often do we see police shrug when an auditor threatens a lawsuit? They don't care what it costs the city or county they work for. I would love to see what the city or county had to pay in settlements due to an employee's handling of a situation. It should be public info since settlements are publicly accessible.

I remember the cold war and know people who were born & raised in the USSR and DDR, it was no joke living in those places. Very scary times.
He declined to answer because the city is his client and he can't give legal advice. He was not asked for legal advice, he was asked about the which law would be violated.

Let me ask you - did you care one iota about filming in public buildings before the auditing community made it an issue? They've focused on a practice which is 99.99% innocuous; a complete non-issue, into some massive battle for civil rights. Why?

@@OlYables It goes deeper than that. If you take a look around you, you'll see a camera pretty much everywhere. Why did they do that? Safety? Ok. Well, all you have to do is watch the Bourne identity or any other movie about surveillance and you'll see how incredibly easy it is to track you. Basically, The Truman Show, if you will, starring Jim Carey. What auditing does, is it puts the spotlight back on them, (govt, big brother and whoever else). It's not perfect but it is eye opening and it brings awareness to everyone's rights. We're so close to socialism and communism here that people are almost willingly accepting it.
I appreciate auditors for the simple fact of shedding light on something people fought and died for (freedom). You don't have to think that. That's fine.
It's not only filming, because everyone that opens their eyes to this issue will usually open their eyes to other American rights and God given inalienable rights as well. I think that is the end goal here.

Many auditors are so disrespectful thank you for showing the law, revealing errors and EDUCATING them on the errors so that they can correct them. And for showing your viewers how this can be done with honor.

I'm having a tough time getting through this video. My tolerance for utter BS isn't very high and these servants are shoveling it like they work in a stable. Great job as usual, but damn that was exhausting. Couldn't do what you do in a million years; I'd either flip out over the stupidity or get arrested.

When the city police invite you to make a lawsuit then you know the city is in big trouble.
Public servants welcome you to file a lawsuit because they won't be held accountable. Not a dime from a settled lawsuit comes from their pockets. It comes from taxpayers. So they don't care.

Exactly. No matter how polite the head of security was, he was still intent on keeping him out. He only did at the end because he realized it would be a bigger headache to try to arrest him.
Thanks to all the auditors that work together for change! It is awesome to see the progress after interactions which lead to calls, letters and posts! Now we see the fruit with Sean’s great visit. He is so gracious and gives such in depth instruction. This is success in progress!

Personally I wouldn’t of followed the security guard, and handled the business at hand. However these public servants need to be sued and educated with the consequences of what happens when the constitutional rights are being infringed upon. This city hall needs a full mass audits with many other 1st amendment auditors on every floor that is public accessible.

This video drove me bonkers! I can't believe how nice and straight to the point this auditor is. The fact that he pushes the envelope in such a polite way! It keeps me invested in his work. I mean, this man never causes a scene. He gets blamed for it sometimes, but usually it's the government officials causing the scene!

After informing vincent what your intentions were, and following through with it, they still had difficulty accepting that you were well within your rights. So I see this alot here in these videos where they claim confidential info is being captured in public places. As a HIPPA trained IT tech that has worked in US Navy Hospitals and in County Police stations ... It is a requirement and responsibility of entities to insure offices take measures to block the information from public view. Things like direction screens are pointed, storage boxes for documents, screened areas, etc. If you go into a public and are able to see confidential info the entity has not done their job properly.
I was disappointed at first because you let him go get the paper for you instead of you going in. And I thought that was the end of it but I am so happy that you continued and told him exactly what you were going to do and you went in and exercised your rights. Excellent job Sean. Now we just have to get them to not send guards in to watch what you're doing and follow you everywhere. To me that's kind of ridiculous. They don't follow everyone else around that walks in the building. I guess I kind of understand because they aren't used to someone filming but they really need to get used to it. Thank you and excellent video. That was awesome.

Praising the Security Superintendent for his respectful demeanor is fine. However, who do you really think came up with that "security" policy. He wanted to accommodate you so you would not be able to challenge his policy. He knows he can't enforce it against unwilling victims, so he gave an exception to protect his desire to control public behavior in his security building.
So I agree. Nothing was accomplished.

Sean stays the same and always challenges those policies respectfully and peacefully. That's what makes him (IMO) the best auditor. I also like Amagansett press.

The Superintendent of Security Operations was a breath of fresh air. The actual security was not. Even though he still tried to enforce the 'policies', there was a mutual respect there. And at the end of the day, you did what you needed to do. Great audit as always. You're the best out there.

That's why it's a rule of the building: they're using policies to help protect the citizens who actually need to use these services. NOBODY other than auditors and their fans have an issue with simply complying with these rules: doing their business in these buildings and going about their day. Auditors have created a problem where one didn't exist before.
