I think a big part of it is labeling due to societal conditioning. People will hear this sound without listening to the words and call it trash because it's not their style. I'll admit, before I had even listened to his music I assumed it wouldn't be good but that was the mentality I knew and grew up with for so long. Knowing that that thought I had was ego, I decided to keep an open mind and give it a chance and whaddya know! I actually saw so much beauty in this song/video and will most likely continue to blast this through my speakers lol.
It is for this reason that I always question my opinions and try to look at everything from a different perspective. And now it's just so crazy to me that people choose to blindly judge without ever thinking about how the artist envisioned it.
