Love the raw wood stage also, but after you torched it then used the wire brush, wow it was beautiful. Just found and subscribed to your channel a couple of days ago. I also like your layout sketches, being a former biological illustrator. I make wooden flutes as my hobby. Thank you for your gift
Really fantastic! I agree with the raw wood stage - something magical about seeing the wood reveal itself. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the effort you put into doing these videos for us!!
Both carves are amazing. You are so talented. The way you paint the eyes make them really come to life. Same way on your bears. Well on all your carvings really. Great job and great video!
I have to say Tay you have matured into a great carver. From the first time I ever found your channel you are doing fine work. Just my opinion. Your friend Steve God bless.
This was the coolest carving video ever, 2 Eagles in one video carved 2 different ways! I was so thrilled to see this video post as I really enjoy watching you create these amazing works of art. Your talent knows no bounds, great job and thanks for sharing this here for all of us to enjoy!
You are an amazing artist an amazing woodcarver. You should be very proud of yourself. I have been a taxidermist, my whole life and your wood carvings are very awesome.
Both eagles look so proud and forceful! You captured their spirit tremendously. It is 2 brilliant carvings. Perhaps someday soon, you will do so well that you can outsource the editing of your videos, and we will be able to enjoy them more often.
I love that you see the spirit in the carvings! 💛 I would be super picky about an editor, but it would be nice! I do enjoy editing, it gives me an excuse to take a day off haha!
TM, you knocked it out of the park. First of all, love your imagination and creativity. Secondly, love seeing the warm weather, green grass and short sleeves during nasty NY winters. It’s double the pleasure. And you are putting out videos when most others are not. GO GIRL!!!
Haha it's been below zero here in Maine for well over a week! I feel you! It's been nice editing this older footage, the greenery and sunshine is missed lol!
A great twofer and brilliant editing Taylor! Love how #1 and #2 turned out. You’re so good with the heads. Reminds me of your first one you did that your neighbor lady got as a surprise from her husband. That was so cool! ☺️
Very fun to watch. I'm blessed in that a bald eagle couple lives very close to me. I love their screech early mornings. I've seen them dive for fish and actually work together to hunt a seagull. These birds are no joke. So yes this video was really special. Thanks.
They're incredible birds for sure! I love watching them soaring over the highway near my home! I think a family lives near one of the local farm fields because I seem to them quite often!
I want to win the Lottery so I can just iundate you with order after order! I enjoy your videos just as much as other youtubers but you really have an eye for detail that makes you my favorite!
I am still so gob smacked at your ability to take a stump of wood and create such a realistic piece. I agree that the raw finish, prior to the paint, has a certain charm to it. Perhaps because it shows the artistic carving talent that created it.
Ok. One can see that your work is getting more detailed by time, and this is good. It’s fascinating me how easy you make it looks that you curve so proportional shape, whether is a bird or an animal. If I might say that you work would look even better if you experiment more with painting of your statues. Maybe more shadows. There are really simple technics that can make a big different. Bravo. Keep doing what you do.
Tay you did an amazing job on both Eagles! 👌 The detail you put in the head and beak are outstanding! You make it look so easy! Are they about the same weight? Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
I'd love to say that you've outdone yourself, but my gosh.... Every video Tay, I'm amazed. I'm sure you have plenty of your plate, but have you ever thought about having your own apparel line. Clearly you have great taste in hats. How about some with your logo on them? Or some t shirts? I'm a huge fan and would definitely rock one of your hats down here in Texas!
I do have shirts that I sell at shows and events! It's that black one you see me wear often! Hats are very expensive to order but definitely something I plan to do. Maybe even this year!
Weiter so🤗👏👏
Both of bald eagles look amazing and different wood but same results and you are a very talented young lady and I hope you continue doing these amazing cravings for everyone to see.
That one bottle of glue is almost $50 🤪 It's worth every penny though! Best stuff there is...except when you get it one your hands and hair...then it's not something awesome lol
Wow, I love how detailed you are with just the chainsaw. couple questions tho, do you constantly look at a picture and did you have artistic abilities before chainsaw carving?
Less so now than in the past. I will always make references available for me so I can look when I need to. I have always been a doodler, but never had time in life to do anything artisy till I dropped everything and made art my job haha!
As usual, your skills and talent are amazing. I think you said you have only been chainsaw carving for a couple of years? Your carvings look like you have done them your entire life. Do you miss nursing? NOT! Love your videos….
So many benefits to torching! It smoothens the wood and removes the fuzzy splinters from carving, it closes the grain, it provides additional UV protection, wood is a living material so torching kills any remaining mildew, mold, or little insects still calling the sculpture home. These are just a few of the benefits! If a piece will be colored I always touch :)
@@TayMarie23 Thanks for your reply. I am no carver nor craftsman, but admire the work. skill and dedication, and finnished results. I myself have many various statuettes, made of polystone and polyresin. Liking woodcarving, I recommend Mike Stinnet/stinnet sticks here on YT, as well as Norwegian NerdForge, if liking various other creative projects. A friendly warning though... it's transfixing. Thank you, for existing.
Absolutely A Ma Zing! I know how long it takes to make and edit videos and yes, I too would like to see more. But, you do have a business and you are only growing. So when I am ready next month for the Dachsund carving, can you please make it a video to go along with it. Sorry! 😁
especially doing beaks and eyes and face anatomy you have to slow down and measure and draw in exactly what your finish project is going to look like, it doesn't take much to throw off the look your trying to achieve.
Exactly, while trying to keep perfect symmetry around that beak! With owls, you can see both sides of the face, but pointy birds are tough because the beak blocks your view!
Yea before I started doing anatomical sketches on my carvings, my first Eagle looked great and then when I finished it looked like Scrat the squirrel from Ice Age. 😂
You made me laugh out loud talking about bird lopsided face! You have an amazing talent to give your piece of personality. The one looking straight looks very serious the other one looks like he is saying what is going on over! there.
Hahaha noooo! Did these back in May or June! Have about 5 more videos from this past year, you will slowly see the weather turn into what it is now. It's been below freezing for over a week haha!
Hey TayMarie better and better your progression is going by leaps and bounds and your passion and smile is shining through. Thanks for sharing

The eyes are so important, it's the soul of everything piece! Thank you for all the support!!
It's amazing how you can turn a log into a beautiful piece of art! Compliments to you young lady!!
Thank you! 💛

Thanks! It's great to hear from another artist! Still have a lot to learn about my subjects but each carve gets me a little closer!
Great work again Tay! All the best to you, your family, and Nami in this New Year! 👍👍👍
You are so good at what you do. I wish that I had your talent. Thanks for the video. I can't wait to see your videos when they come out. Great work.
Aww thank you! And no need to compare, I'm sure you are a talented person in your own way! 💛😊

Outstanding as always! I really enjoyed the side by side comparisons of the different woods and thus the different amount of detail in each.
My two favorite things to carve, cedar and kiln dried wood! Both are quite fun to work with!
Brilliant, well done!
I like the highlights in the eyes that make them glisten.
Both are excellent work from a happy tremendously talented artist!! 👍👍
Thank you for your kind words! 💛
I really love the eagles. You do great work
Thank you I'm glad 😊

It appears more statuesque to me when it's unfinished, I just like the whole look!
Beautiful!!
Beautiful,so much detail.
Amazing, it seems like your detail improves with each project
Thanks! I am always trying to improve!
Those eagles are so nice. Thanks you for the video helped out a lot I’m a starting to carve as well. Your videos are awesome

Excellent job. You got that intense facial look they have. Amazing talent you have, thanks for the video.

Fantastic job as usual! I want a video. 😊
Tay you did an amazing job on both Eagles! 👌 The detail you put in the head and beak are outstanding! You make it look so easy! Are they about the same weight? Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
In this case, they were close in weight. Cedar is very light, so it was within a pound or two of the kiln dried pine.
@ Thank you for the info! Cheers
Bravo beatıful work ❤
Both pointy birds look great
Thank you! I used to be scared to carve point birds 🤣
I'd love to say that you've outdone yourself, but my gosh.... Every video Tay, I'm amazed.

Fantastic work! Do you ever set up a laser level to aid in accurate symmetry?
They are so freakin awesome 😍
Thank you! 🙏
You never fail to impress me Tay...cracking carvings.as usual...Ps..what type of glue did you use when laminating the wood together?😊
It's over kill but I use the expanding original gorilla glue! Love that stuff!
I would love to have a couple of the bald eagles. I agree with you on the bear natural wood. Have ever like clear coated one? Where are you located?

Nice birds! Was the laminated one also white cedar? Thanks 😊 🦅
Lamination wood was Eastern White Pine! I use a mom and pop mills and kiln, they mill and dry only Pine
gorgeous, you are very talented.

Not at all! This job is so much more my pace! Been carving for just under 2.5 years 😊
I know I have said before but you rock
Lol, thank you 💛
I like the one with turned head best.
What is the purpose of the burningprocess?
So many benefits to torching! Lol yah, I'm a strange one 😅 And I agree, love their different personalities! I swear to some extent they carve themselves!
So, killing two birds with one stone? I'll show myself out.
I laughed way harder than I should have at this haha
Hahaha yes, you nailed it! 🤣💛
That's talen!!!!!!!!!
Gran trabajo, yo tengo ganas de tallar también un águila para mi canal, un saludo 👋🏽
Do it!!
I love your carvings Tay and did you know that to me you look like the actress Mira Sorvino with your cute smile and face

@TayMarie23 as you should !
sensacional!
Magic
Do you carve dry or green wood?
Carve it all - green, seasoned, and kiln dried. Usually my whole logs are seasoned.
@TayMarie23 thanks Tay I appreciate your answer.
❤❤❤
How can i purchase some of your work ?
Website in description! 🙂
Amazing…..I’d really like to see one with just a oil on natural wood
When I carve inventory this winter I plan to clear seal some pieces!
Look very nice like you do
