Not one of them is really appealing to me, but for the future: I love to fly through the verse and see a Perseus or even a Kraken. Just amazing how beautiful these ships are.

Thanks, Farrister, As I've shared since its debut, I believe the Gatac Railen is much further along than is let on. The reason I believe this is the very highly polished animation of it transforming from flight to landing mode that has been available since last year. Working with 3D modeling since the late 1990s, this cannot be done unless you have much if not all of the N.U.R.B.S. and raw data already in place. Thanks.
I saw a thumbnail of the Kraken and I jumped on this video so fast! Let's gooooo Kraken! Aircraft carrier than can land from space? Who can hate that. XD Love your videos. :)
The MISC Endeavour will be easily my favorite ship if gets implemented, but one thing is, if you get too far from your ship you can't see the mark anymore unlike 3.17.4, so how will you travel back? And the biggest question is how will you log out when not attached to the rear section
Imagine once they finally add actual combat missions using the kraken to bring player ships and have another fleet of larger ships and smaller ships NPC's running up and down the deck and prepping ships for launch. would be interested if the Kraken also had a "Briefing room" you could make some amazing invasion memories or full fledged Mining/security operations with a kraken and a well made fleet
Great video, I'd love to see more like this. Although I mainly fly light and med fighters, I feel like it's more interesting to see these videos about the larger ships, like the ones you've showcased. I'd love to see a section on the Crusader Genesis. It will fill a role no other ship concepted yet will. Then of course you haven't done the fan favourite the Idris yet. And I'm sure there are lots of requests for the only mine layer that has been concepted, the Nautilus. Carry enough cargo to break the economy, with the Hull E anyone? If you want to do a small ship, I'd love to see a segment on the san'tok-yai!
The endeavour is one of those ships where I'm pretty convinced that it'll actually never release. At least not in the shape the concept advertises. Not only does it feature modules for gameplay loops that are so very far in the future (like you said: jump point discovery is a good example, that's a gameplay loop that needs many dozen star systems to be viable for more than a week) but also the tech to make that work like modularity, server meshing, etc needs to be invented first. Wouldn't surprise me if they rework the concept completely and come up with something more reasonable.
Of the five you showcased, I'm waiting for two of them. I own a MISC Endeavor Hope with some extra modules to turn it into a "ship, shipping ship" using the hanger, barracks and fuel tank mods. I also own a Gatac Railen as I like alien ships and do cargo hauling, this fitting into my fleet as a small multi-crew long range cargo hauler. (My largest multi-crew long range hauler is a BMM, another unreleased ship.)
Polaris is one that I really like. I want a small carrier for my needs with an NPC crew. I'm normally by myself in games. I prefer it that way due to scheduling. If I found an org with good people I might consider.
I know its a steratch, but what about a star citizen style venator from star wars as opposed to the kracken, while it carries less ships, the ships are protected better as well as being able to have more firepower due to there being more room for guns and missiles
you are off on the polaris missiles. There are 4 total racks, 7 torps in each rack, size 10. so that is a total of 28 size 10 torps, 4 can be fired at once
Great presentations Farrister, good choice on the ships...seems like I have a few of those in development, guess I'll keep waiting... and waiting... Thanks buds, keep them coming !!!
Star Citizen devs: "Well, we COULD fix some of the bugs or the server issues, or implement more of the economic system ... OR we develop some new ships!"
So many other unreleased ships to cover in the next videos. The ones that has me excited (because I own them) are the Crucible, Pioneer constructor, Galaxy corvette sized modular ship, SRV space tug and Perseus Frigate. Wouldn't mind a discussion on the new modules planned for both the Galaxy, Endeavor, and Caterpillar. I plan on turning mine into specialized refinery or factory ships.
I'd like to hear more about the c1 spirit. The ship I'd like is basically what I expect the c1 spirit to perform like with a smaller footprint and the turret to be combined weapon and tractor. And likely better cockpit visibility along the lines of CO nomad or MIRAI fury
At this point my hangar is made up of more concepts than released ships, and has been for a while. For some ships like the Kraken, I can understand it somewhat. A capital-class carrier would be a bit overkill for just Stanton. Others, like the Perseus or especially the Liberator and SRV, I was expecting about a year ago. They're certainly needed in game. It's nice that videos like these remind people of what CIG still has on their plate, and maybe, just maybe, someone at CIG just sees the title and gets that uncomfortable tingle in the back of their skull reminding them their work is overdue.
Love this! I’m not sure what it is that grips me about bigger ships, but honestly the bigger they are the more intrigued I am to experience them in the verse!
Torn between the Kraken and BMM, price aside for a moment I believe the BMM will be more capable on its own and with a 3rd of the crew required. That said the kraken more fully captures the gameplay I’m interested in so it’s hard to say. Could I own more ships if I get the BMM? Sure, but you can only fly one at a time so 🤷🏼♂️
These ships ive always looked at and thought they would be fantastic to get but in all honesty as a solo player I dont think they would ever work out for me sadly I really want a kraken though its so cool, I look forward to more of this series if you plan to do more!
Well, while it's true that you will never be able to solo a Kraken, if you really want one I guess you could use it as you personal space station: Parked somewhere in safe UEE space (maybe near a UEE base) and with a couple of NPCs in the turrets it would be resonably safe from enemies and if not moving the upkeep cost should be pretty low.
@@HaRRRdgE it's hard to say if ai crew will or won't be a thing, I think it would be a huge strain on the server to have a single javelin crewed by AI with one captain as the processing power would be immense, as well as imagine if 20-30 players had fully AI crewed ships. That also depends on how they write the AI code and how it updates in the verse, which they've already had a history of poor optimization. It's hard to say yes or no but I'm hopeful for AI crew.
I am Magine the Polaris is actually going to get an increase in size as it is a capital ship. When they first had this announced, they did not expect capital ships to be as big as they ended up being.
I'm in the process of saving for the Kraken atm, using CCU's I'll get up to my first 1k then it's regular credit dumps till the 2954 expo to land me a carrier :) can't wait to see capital ships start popping up.
Im glad you mentioned the Railen. Im hoping the upcoming updates that will finally enable the Hull C with also finally get my Railen off of the "concept" list soon
Love these forward looking videos with maybe a tiny bid of speculation! Though I do hope you're a bit off the mark with your insights on the Endeavour. 😅 Trying to stay optimistic about modularity.
i want the kraken, They should put NPC markets within the ship, also it "refuels" the Supplies every time it goes to a docking bay either in space or on planet side. from their it can be a mobile command center and i think would make the versatile of the game play even more indepth.
I'm thinking either the E1 or, as I was recently reminded of its (supposed) existence, the Starliner, are the concept ships that interest me the most. At least for now. But these are all interesting in their own right as well, of course, I simply have more of an exploration / passenger interest for my style of play.
looking forward to when my BMM / Perseus / Polaris comes! but talking about the Kraken in this video i would love to see you talk about the Liberator i think that will be a great carrier too which i own myself and cant wait to see also
@@Farrister hmm, maybe it just seemed that way to me? It has "wrap up" language like "leave a comment if I didn't cover your ship," etc, when there were still two ships left. But maybe that's just where you wanted to say that. I only commented because it automatically made me reach to turn the video off.
I think the misc Endeavour would be better suited as a center around dynamic events in places like Pyro where it might actually be more beneficial to have a mobile food/medical/refining station to make the rounds in orbit of the planets with less infrastructure. They could be centerpieces to events regarding pirates and rival factions that are trying to steal stuff from the biodomes or there could be a rival faction's leader in a med bay and the enemies of the event are trying to kill them off by bombing the med bays. I think that would make more sense than having these ships as player owned vessels, unless they're owned by a VERY big organization that can make full use of and protect it.
How about a video where you create your ideal fleet. maybe you can create multiple fleets for different roles such as a pirate fleet and a mining guild or even a planetary defense fleet
Polaris: I solo Idris with my Retaliator.. so gonna be happily torpedoing Krakens and Javelins in my Polaris with minimal crew, as I expect blade and NPC AI to handle some stations. Reckon the top landing bay will handle a Hurricane , though I’d prefer a Scorpius.
Looking forward to the Tumbril Ranger Bikes, we don't need any more ships, have them all, yet there is no place in game for any of them atm or in the next year. Farrister, enjoying your content very much
POLARIS: Although they are a definite selling point, I disagree that the main focus of the Polaris is on the torpedoes. They're definitely nice for force projection, and a very significant tool for a corvette on patrol - they ensure that even a larger hostile, caught alone by a Polaris, will consider retreat rather than risk a confrontation. This is an easy means to, say, drive off mining or salvage claim jumpers, or take care of a single pirate vessel threatening out in isolated space. Between the guns, hangar, and other facilities, I personally think that it's the versatile nature of the Polaris that make it popular. ENDEAVOR - The mix-and-match nature of the Endeavor's pods is kind of misleading. From what I can see, a lot of the modules are mutually incompatible, since they can only fit on certain areas of the ship and their shape prevents quite a few combinations. LIkewise, the detachable shuttle is also kind of a no-sell - it doesn't have a quantum drive of its own, which limits its usefulness to a larger extent than you would think. At the end of the day, few of the roles performed by the Endeavor are things you're going to want to move while doing. That being said, this is a ship that encompasses several major roles, several of which aren't even available in any other ship to date. Useless to most, but Absolutely indispensable for a precious few. RAILEN: Most other cargo haulers other than the Hull series have the benefit of a cargo hold, which adds significant versatility that the Railen doesn't offer. On top of this, the Railen's cargo capacity is relatively small compared to the larger Hulls - meaning that as a company warehouse or Fleet stockpile ship that only sits in place and holds things, it's not useful. This means the selling points for the Railen will be its uniqueness and its comfort features - however, it looks like it might have these in spades. Not for me, though. PERSEUS: Not an all-around patrol ship. Since it's not going to be able to handle the small to medium sized ships well, it can't project force effectively enough to deny an area. This lack of all-around capability means it's not particularly useful as a patrol vessel either, since it WILL run into situations it can't handle or get out of. The Perseus is a striker - particularly when you've found a location that your enemies will defend. The Perseus will shut down a Hull convoy, blockade an improvised pirate flotilla, and watch the roads in, when heavy reinforcements start coming. This is the ship that will end the Xenothreat menace. KRAKEN: The merchant-center Privateer is okay, I guess. The permutations of what a large group can do with a Kraken is astounding, but there's a huge level of logistics and organization that would be necessary -- and any smart Kraken captain is going to remember that the temptation to use all those weapons is the kiss of death. Command of this fellow will earn you a lot of status, but when most of your time is spent sitting still in a safe spot facilitating others, it may not earn a lot of fun. Add to this, the fact that a Kraken will absolutely be the main target ANY time it's discovered in operation, and suddenly your flawless plans all involve retreat.
Definitely! Some of these won't be seen for a good long time, but I don't think we'll have to wait much longer on the Polaris. Then, we'll see what I'm really full of.
Still waiting for that really cool Nomad MK2 ship... I'm waiting on the Railen. Cargo on the outside ia not that bad, but being able to land with full ship is great. I don't like the bigger ships that much because they require a crew to function. and that is awesom in itself. but I'm playing a game as a hobby and don't want to turn it into a job. I have seen what WOW clans can be like and it's bad, to say the least. Concernig Videos: more like this please! still wating firearms and armor. and dapper clothes.
Some of those ships you mentioned are not in development just yet. Yes, their concept has been shown and offered as pledge, but that doesn't mean they are being active developed on. Especially not capital ships not needed for SQ42, and no associated gameplay ready.
I just love the look of the Perseus I couldnt help myself getting one I just wish the pilot could use the one turret LOL also wish it had a ship bay like the Polaris but I like the BIG guns over the torpedo's
I honestly think that none of these ships will leave here in 2 or 3 years since it is clear that cloud imperium is not very interested in taking out the big ships and leaving you with the fantasy of what the ship can do, they have been taking out small ships for a while time and they keep adding big ships or capitals to concepts that don't even finish. They brought out the cutter, the antares, the vulture, stv, hull a, mule and c8r picies. And from those ships only the vulture and coal were expected to come out. The other ships were taken out of the ass instead of doing or at least finishing the concepts of the capital ships or even more minimally the large ships. (It is not that I want to despise the ships that are taken out of the ass because they are good but do not give hope that a ship is going to come out and that this, that.) On top of that they added the galaxy, another ship that the only thing we know is good is that it gives you the carrak because we know that this ship probably won't leave here for 3 or 4 years (I hope I'm wrong because the ship looks interesting.) The only thing they have released that is a decent size is the corsair (3.17). THE ONLY THING they have released since 3.15, which was the last time they released a ship of those sizes. Let's hope that hull C comes out definitively in 3.20, which, although it is a large size, we know is somewhat useless. Let's hope the new Monterreal team does a splendid job with the ships. Let's hope they come up with a better equipment system, which is also one of the reasons why no capital comes out. So what we have is that we hope that in the version after 3.20 large or capital ships will come out because we know that nobody was motivated by seeing a little ship, but with the capital ships yes. For those who don't know, Polaris has been in development for more than 6 years and, however, they don't even have the concept.
If i recall corectly the Perseus is bigger and requires more crew that the Constallation unless some future rework changes thing a Perseus vs Constellatio size ship is not it's intendet role, it's more the hammrhead role
@@Farrister yes it is But the Constallation in armament and armor is just a bit havier that a fighter whit two to two and a half the size. A Constellation whit full crew vs a Hammerhead full crew loses 9/10 if not 10/10. The Andromeda has the most heavy fire power and even if it fire all of it's missile , the gun can't get the Hammerhead shield down in most case and balistic dosen't have the ammo, can very rearly get a kill. I have an Andromeda btw, so unless in the future the give it more firepower or nerf the Hammerhead I think it's as i sai in the previus comment.
Here’s a tip, try to pick up a CCU to a ship that still isn’t completed and not for a while. When it does come closer to completion it’ll grow and go up in money$$$. Then cash it in 😊
That Endeavor won't be available till they decide to do remote ark colony style gameplay. Alone, isolated, just the crew you brought and anyone you can convince to log in there for the first time... Lightyears away from anything else. That's my idea of fun.
As a reminder to players: The Kraken is an Industrial Carrier, and not meant for Combat. The Privateer version is also meant to be more of a marketplace, much like the Merchantman.
@@davidwatson1216 I agree with you on that one but there are also others, particularly hardcore players that likes hard challenges in a game genre they are familiar with.
Chris’ favorite ship is the Connie. Jared’s favorite ship is the Genesis Starliner.
Mine is the Endeavor.
I am Magine the Polaris is actually going to get an increase in size as it is a capital ship. When they first had this announced, they did not expect capital ships to be as big as they ended up being.
already got a size increase.
I pressed that like button Farrister
Love the content man! 👍
Thank you!
@@Farrister you deserve it bro 👍
Love this Farrister, keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks!
Great video, even if you skipped the Expanse and the Crucible :-D :-D
Haha, future content right there xD
Great video Farrister!
Thanks, means a lot coming from you!!
@@Farrister oh no worries I have been really enjoying your content! Keep up the great work!
I'm in the process of saving for the Kraken atm, using CCU's I'll get up to my first 1k then it's regular credit dumps till the 2954 expo to land me a carrier :)
can't wait to see capital ships start popping up.
Scary!
11:35 + the a lot smaller travel time costs due to bigger Jump drive
Possibly! Time will tell on what actually ends up fitted
Im glad you mentioned the Railen. Im hoping the upcoming updates that will finally enable the Hull C with also finally get my Railen off of the "concept" list soon
Is the BMM in development now?
Supposedly!
Great vid! In future, I wouldn't mind hearing more about the Odyssey...thanks! 07
Got the Perseus the day it came to us can’t wait to fly it
Crusader Spirit, next?
And the Odyssey?
Soon!
@@Farrister YAY!
Love these forward looking videos with maybe a tiny bid of speculation!
Though I do hope you're a bit off the mark with your insights on the Endeavour. 😅 Trying to stay optimistic about modularity.
Haha, yup!
i want the kraken,
They should put NPC markets within the ship, also it "refuels" the Supplies every time it goes to a docking bay either in space or on planet side. from their it can be a mobile command center and i think would make the versatile of the game play even more indepth.
Got a Railen in the hangar and look forward to using it some day. I would like to see you remind us of the Tumbril Bikes and Odyssey
I'm thinking either the E1 or, as I was recently reminded of its (supposed) existence, the Starliner, are the concept ships that interest me the most. At least for now. But these are all interesting in their own right as well, of course, I simply have more of an exploration / passenger interest for my style of play.
To me the Endeavour would appeal to somewhat of a self sustaining small flying base combining different modules such as medical and farming domes.
Thank you for this great video !
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
so where are the other 2 size 7's on the perseus? i know it has 4 just cant see the other turret
@noble117 Directly underneath the top turret.
As Timbal says, one above, one below!
I will absolutely be getting the Railan when it comes out. That's real obtainable cargo gameplay.
Your order is probably the order they get released. Nice vid
looking forward to when my BMM / Perseus / Polaris comes! but talking about the Kraken in this video i would love to see you talk about the Liberator i think that will be a great carrier too which i own myself and cant wait to see also
i see it more as a space ferry thn a carrier but yeah im excited aswel, idk why they cant add it since its literally 2 slabs ontop of eachother
I mean im not saying it cant fit alot but it would either be a big space ferry or a very small carrier
Theyve already stated in a ISC that they plan on NPC crews for these large vehicles being available.
We'll just have to see :)
I love the gamplay of the pionner. A ship who can make outpost is very incredible.
Can you talk about here in the next one video 🙏
Noted ;)
@@Farrister tanks you 🙏
I think John Crew hinted that the Polaras was being worked on over the BMM!
Excite!
Just an FYI, the "end" of the video comes at the end of the Railen section in the middle.
How do you mean? It seems OK for me?
@@Farrister hmm, maybe it just seemed that way to me? It has "wrap up" language like "leave a comment if I didn't cover your ship," etc, when there were still two ships left. But maybe that's just where you wanted to say that. I only commented because it automatically made me reach to turn the video off.
@@CapnSnackbeard ah OK, wasn't intended to be wrap up!
Do another video with 5 more ships please!!
Will do!
Perseus mentioned 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yeaaahhhh!!!!
Farrister, enjoying your content very much
Great selection but the Orion, Odyssey, Starliner gotta get some screen time. Let's GO
the Endeavor has got to be my fav
Versatile!
Nice one, plz more Like this 😊

I love your videos man. Always a nice job. Very relaxing too watch.
Damn Billy, more great notes! Will be interesting to see how much of this translates into real game performance as each ship is released
Definitely! Some of these won't be seen for a good long time, but I don't think we'll have to wait much longer on the Polaris. Then, we'll see what I'm really full of.
Hope you’ll talk about the MISC Odyssey in the next one
So excited for the Kraken
Release the Kraken!
Awesome video mate.
Thanks!
Could be kinda OP though!
Please Farrister take a look to the Corsair. Congrats for the channel i love the slow clear paced videos.
I will do, just waiting for the aUEC sale!
(It is not that I want to despise the ships that are taken out of the ass because they are good but do not give hope that a ship is going to come out and that this, that.)
On top of that they added the galaxy, another ship that the only thing we know is good is that it gives you the carrak because we know that this ship probably won't leave here for 3 or 4 years (I hope I'm wrong because the ship looks interesting.)
The only thing they have released that is a decent size is the corsair (3.17).
Maybe, time will tell, I suppose
Polaris is slated to have 4 torpedo LAUNCHERS, with 28 torpedoes.. serious hurt.
Big dog
I'm excited for my Railen. One day... probably before the banu merchantman 😂😂
:)
If i recall corectly the Perseus is bigger and requires more crew that the Constallation unless some future rework changes thing a Perseus vs Constellatio size ship is not it's intendet role, it's more the hammrhead role
I think Hammerhead is more anti-fighter, no?
@@Farrister yes it is
But the Constallation in armament and armor is just a bit havier that a fighter whit two to two and a half the size.

Then cash it in 😊
Love the endeavour and hope at least we get something like it
Hopefully my great grandkids will be able to play with these ships.
That Endeavor won't be available till they decide to do remote ark colony style gameplay. Alone, isolated, just the crew you brought and anyone you can convince to log in there for the first time... Lightyears away from anything else. That's my idea of fun.
Intriguing!
Nope you did fantastic.
😁👍
BMM 🎉
xD
As a reminder to players: The Kraken is an Industrial Carrier, and not meant for Combat. The Privateer version is also meant to be more of a marketplace, much like the Merchantman.
If players nowadays turn C2 into carriers I guess it won't stop them from using Kraken for combat missions in future)
That's ridiculous.
I’m still a firm believer that the min crew of any ship will always be 1 no matter excuse people give.
I'm still a firm believer that the effective min crew for multi crew ships will still be more than 1. At least, I really hope so!
this was a good video. thx for that.
Glad you enjoyed it!
so hyped for the endeavour
Great video would love more like this ❤

I am just waiting on my BMM, Orion, HullD, and Pioneer. Seriously can not wait for my huge ships to play around with.
As long as the multi crew support is good, I'll be happy!
@@Farrister Yeah Blades and Hired npcs I am betting heavy on lol
Criminal that the merchantman isn't on this list
It was on the first video!
Im vers excited for the kraken, but i think it‘ll come with pyro, in stanton there is no need for such a ship except being cool as hell.
Cool is a good reason xD
I hope they add a starting package that is cheaper like a package that replaces the aurora with the merlin
Since the merlin doesn't come with a quantum drive, it would be a very poor starter ship that would ruin the experience for most new players
@@davidwatson1216 I agree with you on that one but there are also others, particularly hardcore players that likes hard challenges in a game genre they are familiar with. CIG might eventually give out cheaper starter packs in the future when star citizen reaches beta ( in about 7 years give or take 🤣 )
That might actually be a good idea. If planetary gameplay gets worked out (with missions that fits on a single planet) then I don't see why they shouldn't
