    DISCLAIMER: I am not paid to promote any specific products or brands; I just use the products I find work best for me through my experiences. There is no reason for me to promote a bad product, as then I would not enjoy using it, not like the result on my model, and not be proud of publicizing it in a video. There's also no point in me doing this to keep up relations with a company if the only benefit would be getting more of the same products that I didn't like. I have not used every product out there, but from what I have used, I keep using the products I like, and that's why I use them in my videos. You can use whatever other products you would like to and you can feel that they are better - that is your opinion, and is perfectly fine by me, thus I hope that feeling is reciprocated.

    Fashionably late to the Tiger party... you've got a really nice clean build there and it looks like a great dragon kit before the dark ages came to pass. I find metal barrels and tracks are an essential touch to the model (especially when DS tracks are provided) to really make it pop. Plus I love the added weight it gives to the piece. Btw what kind of wire did you use to attach the Jerry's at the rear of the vehicle? The Jerry's and the bucket give it some nice personality. Gotta fast forward to see this one painted and weathered up. Keep'em coming buddy!
    Cheers Evan!

      +GeekyRocket hey Brad, great to hear from you as always. Hope you're doing well!
      The wire I used is just spare stuff from the inside of the wires of old iPod earbuds. I pulled out a few individual strands which are quite thin but still strong, and hold their shape so I can knot them with tweezers and they won't fall off.

    I know it's 4 years later, but I took your advice and purchased the Das Werk current version of this. Is there any way you could provide the exact part/ref number of the correct RB barrel?

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36  Рік тому +1

      Don't worry, the UA-cam Creator app on my phone lets me see comments posted recently no matter how old the video is.
      The correct barrel for this kit would be RBM35B01 (Tiger I early gun). But the late gun can also work. I believe the late gun is on the last two months of Tiger production (so around July/August 1944). The Tiger I built is a May 1944 vehicle so I should have used the early barrel, even if that's a "late tiger".

  • @miken8875

    Very late to this but I believe this was reboxed as Wittmann's Last Tiger (6800) which is going for reasonable prices on Sprue Brothers and some other sites. I might pick it up but I'm torn between it and Rye Field's Initial 121 (5078). Not to mention the Takom and Rye Field Tigers I've got in my backlog...

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36  Місяць тому +1

      The Wittmann Tiger is slightly different as it is a command variant so it should have extra antennas, plugged coaxial MG, etc. but I imagine all the same parts are in the box to make this base kit without the Wittmann extras.

      @@Panzermeister36 yes, the instructions include the option for a standard late. The only problem is the camouflage, but I'll make do with a rattle can, stippling, maybe some pastels... not much I can do without an airbrush.

    It is a amazing kit .I have 6 of them to build for clients. I don't understand why people Bash Dragon about their instructions If you're building a dragon kit most likely you're an advanced builder anyways .with the Internet now days with all the information out there there should not be a problems with understanding the instructions .I build dragon kits every day. I have no problems whatsoever understanding the Dang instructions I don't get it .but the DS. tracks in the kits it because of people who can't build magic tracks if you don't like the Solid guide horns then drill them out or replace them You're gonna end up putting it on a shelf and you'll forget about it in a week anyways Why would that even matter if the tracks have Solid guide horns anyways it's not like can see them on a shelf. Like mig said it's a Plastic model anyways ..Just do the best you can with the model. And in joy the hobby a lot of people build models to relieve stress And have something to do for a hobby . I just don't understand why some of these people nit pick at model companies if you don't like it replace it. there's many aftermarket parts out there or Scratch build it that's what's fun about the hobby you're creating something.

      Never understood it either

    • @jandersuf1
      @jandersuf1 5 років тому +3

      I certainly understand dragon instructions, but my last couple dragon kits there were just gross errors within the first couple steps (completely incorrect part call-outs, mixed up sprues). As well, I find they rarely blow up the diagrams into a large enough size to figure out tricky parts.
      Not a big deal on a Tiger with abundant internet research available, but more troublesome in their unusual offerings.
      I think what makes people complain about this topic is that clearly Dragon CAN make awesome kits. But they seem to not even proof-read or test-build their instructions, which is a bit odd... seems like the easier part of the job ;)

    • @frankf684
      @frankf684 5 років тому

      I’m a newer builder and don’t struggle with dragon instructions ver much,I just have fit problems.I finished an Abrams recently and has some gaps in some parts.

    • @sloppyjoe400
      @sloppyjoe400 5 років тому

      I've yet to build a dragon kit, they just just seem to be alot better than other companies

    • @Panzermeister36
      @Panzermeister36  5 років тому +2

      I find that as far as the kits themselves go, anything that Dragon made about pre-2010 or so is really good. After that, they started re-using older 1990s sprues, not giving as much (if any) photoetched metal parts, giving us DS tracks, etc. Dragon's instructions are hit-and-miss for any kit. If it's the first kit in the line (Dragon Panzer III J Smart Kit 6394 for example) , then its institutions are usually flawless. But as they go farther and farther down the line of that tank, for example later panzer III kits based on that one, then the errors start to show up as they forget to label the new parts correctly, and instead reference parts from another variant of the kit that might not even be in the box...on some of the later T-34s, they even skip entire steps and parts just appear on the model between steps in the instructions.
