Preparing for a nursing assistant interview requires a thoughtful approach to showcase your skills, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. Here are key tips to help you succeed:
    1. *Research the Facility:* Gather information about the healthcare facility you're interviewing with. Understand their values, services, and patient population. This demonstrates your genuine interest and preparedness.
    2. *Know the Role:* Familiarize yourself with the responsibilities of a nursing assistant. Be ready to discuss tasks like assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and maintaining patient records.
    3. *Review Your Training:* Reflect on your nursing assistant training. Be prepared to discuss coursework, clinical experiences, and certifications, showcasing your readiness for the role.
    4. *Highlight Soft Skills:* Nursing assistants require strong interpersonal skills. Emphasize qualities like empathy, communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Provide examples of situations where you've demonstrated these traits.
    5. *Practice Scenarios:* Expect scenario-based questions that assess your problem-solving abilities. Practice responding to hypothetical patient-care situations, emphasizing patient safety and maintaining professionalism.
    6. *Discuss Challenges:* Be prepared to discuss challenges you might face in the role, such as dealing with difficult patients or managing time constraints. Showcase your ability to remain calm under pressure and find solutions.
    7. *Ask Thoughtful Questions:* Prepare thoughtful questions to ask the interviewer about the facility's culture, team dynamics, and opportunities for growth. This demonstrates your enthusiasm and interest in the role.
    8. *Professional Appearance:* Dress professionally, adhering to the facility's dress code. Your appearance contributes to your overall impression as a dedicated healthcare professional.
    9. *Review Your Resume:* Expect questions about your work history and any gaps in employment. Be ready to explain how your previous experiences have prepared you for this role.
    10. *Show Enthusiasm:* Display your passion for patient care and your desire to contribute positively to the healthcare team. Express your willingness to learn and grow within the nursing assistant role.
Remember to stay calm, composed, and confident during the interview. By thoroughly preparing, you'll increase your chances of leaving a lasting positive impression and landing the nursing assistant position.

This is by far the most helpful video yet. I know it’s a CNA interview but the basic foundation applies to any type of job interview and that’s what I loved about it.
    Awesome work!

@@MJCoachthecoach I got the job! I'll be a CNA in a hospital. I start next month. Onboarding takes a while... background checks, health assessments, etc.

Thank you for this video. I bombed my last interview due to nerves, I have another one coming up, and I feel great about it. I really appreciate you saying that not everyone who is pursuing a CNA position wants to be a nurse. I want to do ultrasound.

Hello my friend!!! What a fantastic and kind comment that you left. I sincerely appreciate it! Oh yes, as we both know not EVERYONE wants to be a nurse😊.
If you want interview help, I can help you prep via the phone, I’ve done over 100 preps so far in the past 4 years and yes…it’s free! People keep asking how much does of cost😂😂. We should just be helping each other because we should.

@@MJCoachthecoach I actually ended up bombing the next interview I had too. BUT I'm persistent and determined! I've been prepping myself and learning from the questions they asked me and the answers I gave. Thanks to folks like you (I've NEVER not been offered a Job after I've interviewed, I'm usually so much more confident... so this has been an earth-shattering experience lol) I feel like I am going to get this together. Next interview is this Friday, I think I've got this one in the bag! The only thing I'm struggling with (because I tend to treat interviews like a conversation) is asking questions towards the end, especially when the interviewer is so thorough with information they cover. Additionally, when (like my last 2 interviews) the position is actually new to the unit and they are still figuring out the specifications of the position.
