    I've been working out strenuously for months now and I've noticed a massive positive change in my life. I go and work out with friends, which expands the benefits even more. My anxiety is now very manageable. I used to be constantly stuck in my own head, never being in the present moment due to the plethora of worries plaguing me. Now, I'm able to enjoy life. It's fantastic.

    I was having some anxiety tonight that I couldn't quite beat. I decided to read the Bible and a few verse's on anxiety, then decided to work out and finally finished a 20 minute yoga session to relax. I feel a lot better and my anxiety that was about a 7 is now about a 2.

    Since going to the gym 6 times a week anxiety levels have dropped dramatically. Please don’t give up because if you get hooked due to the great benefits you will get addicted to exercise but this is a positive addiction unlike drink, drugs and shopping.

    Exercise helps with my anxiety VERY MUCH. But sometimes if I have exercised intensively I get anxiety due to the sensations from the body i.e. the lungs, increased breathing and I start focusing on my heart.
    This can heighten my anxiety the next three days where I begin to feel nauseous along with all the other classical anxiety symptoms and I feel like I´m going crazy :(

      I had this trouble too. What I did instead was exercise lightly but consistently. Don't go crazy with exercise as this will cause a huge crash and thus make you feel more anxious. For example when I was suffering from anxiety, I would go for a light 20 - 30 minute walk everyday. Just do light aerobic exercise and apply the information about cutting out the wrong type of foods. I trust this helps.

      This is my problem. Im new to getting anxiety attacks. They started smoking weed, So I gave up smoking haven't smoked in months but then I had a anxiety attack working out and now I be so worried about working out. I know im not dying I know its anxiety but I hate the feeling of dizziness I have for days. I went to the ER 3 times thinking I was dying lol. I had my heart checked every way and I was told I have a very healthy heart so I know its in my head which is good and bad. Good because im happy I have a healthy heart but bad because When its in your head it increases my depression so much making me feel even more crazy.

    I have in gyms for 40 years but was always anxious and always terrified I would die. Over the years, sadly, my anxiety got worse and was getting panic attacks in the class and sometimes had to leave, so went into the weights room and started getting depersonalisation, which I knew the word of but had no idea what it was until I was training someone and suddenly the world disappeared. So for me whatever I do and have done has slowly and surely got worse and I couldn't never have even imagined. My life is so small only I know it exists. So I suppose for some not everything improves. I get so envious when I read that things improve for people but the strength of belief I had has not left me.

    Another good way to exercise is trampolining or rebounding. You can buy a small trampoline quite cheaply and can use it indoors or outdoors. Just rebounding for 5-10 minutes twice a day can make a huge difference. It is great for lympathetic drainage, bone density, cardio vascular fitness etc and is very easy on your joints so is suitable for all ages. If it is in your living room you can watch ypur favourite TV program and just get up during then adds and rebound for 4-5 minutes. Do this in each add break and you've done 20 minutes exercise without realising you are exercising. There are loads of free videos here on UA-cam showing routines depending on your fitness level. Easy to do in your own home, no gym fees, no running in the rain, great if you don't like exercising around other people etc

    Ahhh. I started working out like daily and have tried to commit myself to that lifestyle but I do notice that ever since I’ve started working out (it’s been two months or so) again, I start to panic and I get anxiety attacks. I try yo change the way I breath. Instead of breathing in deeply like I would when I want to focus of my breathe, I take small, shallow breathes as breathing that way helps you breath and draw breathe into your bones. And muscles. If you forget to breathe, like I do it might just make you panic because your muscles working intensely and without oxygen, your muscles only tighten. Everything time I try to draw in deep breathes, it messes up my breathing and I start to get dizzy, I won’t last long either. And I also, start to panic more

    Exercise does NOT eliminate anxiety for everyone. It makes it worse for some. The adrenaline elevates heart rate and makes the anxiety worse. I had an anxiety attack while running multiple times. Sucks because exercise is good.

    Ok Strenuous exercise is not good when you have anxiety. Because our nervous system is sensitized and any sensation of heavy breathing or heart rate can increase anxiety. I would rather try to do mild muscle exercises as cardio will increase your air element and cause more anxiety...once you do muscle strengthening exercise you will regain some kind of clarity and strength and then you can do cardio. I bet it works

I work online and am a rather busy person. Though it helps to take my computer/iPad with me on the exercise bike. That way I'm more motivated as I get several daily jobs done in the one go.

    I'm starting to get panic attacks when working out. When my heart starts pounding I start focusing o. How fast its beating then develope full blown panic attacks where it's very difficult to breathe

    • @laisa.
      @laisa. 4 роки тому +4

      You can use this to your benefit - inducing heartbeat is a common way to perform exposure therapy. When your heart races you should dare it to beat even faster (it can't) and even to kill you (it can't). But you need to not be afraid of it, so firstly be sure to understand exactliy what a pabic attack is. It is a rush of adrenaline *designed to protect your life*. It is your most powerful lifeguard. Who thinks there is a threat to keep you safe from. It's all a big misunderstanding, so by going at it bravely, daring it to do it's worst - without being afraid - it will lessen and disappear. 🌻

    I just want to live on a mountain or by a lake with no people or society around me, no traffic, crowds, noise, no need for meds, no work, bills, . Mostly no people. The biggest stressor. I just want to be able to unwind and separate from it. When I don't have control then I'm out of control. Don't want to think about anything or do anything.

    If motivation is an issue, I can recommend start practicing some social dancing like Lindy Hop. Social dancing is great exercise, if you are passionate about your dancing, one song is enough to soak your t-shirt, and normally you dance for one or two hours or more if you are in a festival. You make exercise without realizing it because you are focused in your partner, in the music, in the steps... you have fun all the time, know a lot of people and do a lot of physical activity. Also, Dancing has others fantastic benefits. Start taking classes and enjoy the ride!!!!!

      Sa Martinez I go to therapy for this same reason. It’s all about slowly going back into it. Panic attacks will happen to us, but we can’t let it stop us from doing things. Slowly get back into walking. Start by 2 minutes, then the next time maybe 5 minutes, next time maybe 8 minutes, start off slowly. It’s all about repetition, until you’re comfortable again.
