Hey there, I'm Ryan or Rhapsody here on the internet. I make gaming videos, most often in the let's play format. I usually focus on strategy and indie games, but I tend to record whatever really takes my fancy at the time. If you're interested in the commentary I provide be sure to tune in as I release 4 new videos each and every weekday. Thanks for watching the video above and also for taking the time to read this and hopefully I'll see you next time.
Wait, no one's gonna talk about this effortless voice acting 😁
Exactly.....exactly makes the video feel more lively. Plus it's funny!!!! XD!!!
The soul eater ate your dudes to heal. That's what that major debuff was
After realizing that daggers can be retained for dagger cage, you immediately forgot about it afterward
He also kept playing dagger cage after playing his daggers
just bought the complete or deluxe version on nintendo switch and its epic
but what are the controls on switch
I recognize this style, sound, and lore from 'Faeria', played that one for a bit. Holding the daggers until a guarenteed kill seems like the optimal use considering they stack and you had a card in deck that utilizes that aspect.
MY GOD, RHAPS IS JUST TAKING CARDS LEFT AND RIGHT. UNFATHOMABLE
But t h e p a s s i v e s man!
The intent system of StS was such a huge innovation, that mechanic alone gave rise to a whole new kind of game design.
I am so excited! I cant wait for it to come out for everyone tomorrow!!
LOVE THE VOICE ACTING AND EFFORT. Your effort will pay off in the long run keep it up!
Currently burned out by the endless barrage of roguelites but it's always a pleasure to watch them being played. Thanks for the awesome bingeable content, and especially appreciate the voice acting
Gem of Gravity -> Blade Dance
You're doing a crazy swapzies playstyle, which will make Blade Dance hit for enormous damage. Now double it because Gem of Gravity.
I want more all of it.
I enjoy this series, I look forward to more episodes for this game!
Oh I liked the look of this
Gg, love this game.
Rhapsody literally killed himself by his greed, drowned by coins! 😅
The chalice from the palace holds the brew that is true
Oh look coins that duplicate and give me free energy, how could this possibly hurt me?
I was waiting so hard to this moment Rhaps!!! Hope we enjoy this awsome game togueter ^^
The game looks really cool and from the magic creator :0 Like the style and art a lot!
Yay! I was worried something sour when I didn't see additional episodes!
Still got a bit more wait until console release (PS4 myself) unfortunately. But glad to watch this in the meantime
30:27 that perfect *chef kiss*
If only there's a word to describe how good it sounds.
In today's episode, we learn that Rhaps is willing to admit to any crime if it means card removal. That's a man that knows what he wants
My excitement level for this game has gone up and down crazily throughout the Kickstarter campaign, intervening years and occasional teasers/demos. It has settled on solid hype, so excited for the full game drop tomorrow!
Beep Boop Borp
(Hi I am a robot)
Beep Beep borp beep boop!
(Happy to see more roguebook content)
It's really interesting how they try to almost counter a thin deck by giving the abilities as incentive for having more cards. (Thin decks will still probably be really powerful though)
That dopamine hit at 43:01 was priceless though, lol :)
Yeeeees the 3 episodes weren't enough for me! So happy this is going live :)
This strongly reminded me of Faeria, and it took until the level transition screen (which is basically from Faeria), for me to realise its the same developer/universe. The familiar characters and names didn't fit until then... I am not a clever man.
The coins !!!
At 37:40 you used the royal ink and 1 brush to access the normal battle, but you could have just used the royal ink to access it if you used it straight down.
Nice game. My old pc at home find it's hard to play.(I'll play at work then.) Hopefully they will add optional settings.
Very good
Rhaps... why were you using the daggers... Ever... they could build up in your hand so instead of playing them out you could have let them build up. I don't see a point in playing them unless you are killing an enemy.
In fact it was actively detrimental because he was making dagger shield block for less! With the 4 that start in hand and even ignoring the scaling from the ally who gives daggers, dagger cage is 10 block until you tart playing daggers
Wait, I'm not sure when he picked it up but I think he's optimizing around triggering the feather treasure that gives 1 power if he ends his turns with an empty hand
@@cubicengineering4715 he picked up dagger sheild earlier than feather weight. But any turn he wasn't going to kill or trigger feather weight...
the guy just makes random loose plays, sometimes its annoying to watch
Fantastic! Can't wait for more
ty for doing this
Love the content and I can't wait to see more!
We need glass capped-bottles or carafes in the shop with maybe just like a simple "R".
GIVE US MORE!
Gem of Gravity on Thousand Cuts
Nice! :D

Such a shame that the final boss was a complete counter to your deck's eventual archetype. I guess that is just how the cookie crumbles, sometimes.
2:11:40 Tin. But good effort :)
enjoyed It dude, keep it coming
Hear me o mighty algorithm, as I engage with this content, so you may spread its wealth across the lands of the recommendations page.
Is it possible to turn off the screen shake? Maybe it is the heat here that made me more prone to it but it made me dizzy looking at the combat.
It is possible
Hurt me when you didnt put that block on the mountain fist
**Applause** Moar please!
2:19:25
Rhapsody turns into an Orc from Warhammer 40K.
Nice game!!
this game look realy nice !
That boss was pretty much your nemesis.
This card’s attacks deal doubled damage would have been better on the multi strike rather than the blood gem on the boulder fist.
I'm deciding between getting this or vault of the void? Who can convince me which I should choose?
I played both. My vote goes to VotV, although RB is also a good game but needs some work, balance and also don't forget the price and the upcoming pay dlcs that will be there. RB for me atm feels like "high risk high reward" somehow because it also depends on how devs will update/balance it and the price you will have to pay for all that. What they already did with the deluxe version, including extra game content (not just cosmetics, also more cards and enemies) is a bad sign for me, but who knows. Void the safest bet in this aspect, because it gets often quality updates for free and the game feels already very polished and it just gets better and better, and again, all for free.
VotF offers more possibilities, has more cards, good synergies, is way more balanced in my opinion and I also like how it looks better (dark style) although you can easily see how RB is more charming and flashy. Also VotF it's more complex in general, in the way that it will take some more time to understand all the mechanics, which on the other hand is something that some players don't like. RB is simpler on this, has this semi exploration mechanic that it's interesting and it also has more reading but it's not a big thing.
It also offers dual group system which is something unique compared to most similar games. Experimenting with combinations is definitely fun.
Also one think I like from VotV (even if it's a "small" gameplay detail) is that it already has more than 150 relics and that alone brings more fun and possibilities on each run. Also it's less dependant on RNG compared to RB or other similar games. For example, you can actually see in advance all the combat reward cards you will get on each floor (or level) so you can plan your route better depending on your interests. It's just clean. I also feel VotV has more replayability atm.
I guess now you should know someone else opinion but that he/she likes more RB over VotV hehe. All in all they both great games I said. Regards. :)
I would wait a bit regarding RB to be honest. I was really interested at the beginning but the devs seem a bit scummy and if goes the way faeria went then you can expect a lot of paid dlcs to come... VotV is solid and the dev is super involved
@@adenozin exactly
@@davidvila5053 great post. Thank you. I knew RB was a bigger title, but didn’t realize the additional content was not included. Seems like VoV is the value purchase
@@superzee247 Yep atm VotV is the value purchase. As adenozin said maybe some wait on RB won't hurt, just keep it in check and see how it evolves. For now, RB really needs some balance, but well it's a new game so some early fixes should be expected.
Have some doom coins Rhaps! >:3
Love this game! Any chance of playing the Rogue Lords demo? That game is awesome as well
voice acting is 10 out of 10 but so is your australian accent
This game is great, but a wee bit buggy. Rhaps had a few bugs I didn't get, and I took a while to realise that I was collecting inks and health pots that never appeared in my inventory. But I trust in a week one patch!
Any idea when the switch or ps4 version comes out
So who's tried putting Red Diamond with Blade Barrier so far?
Hey Rhaps just checking in to say: I love you and every moment of your content, but please look after yourself! Just today you uploaded nearly 5 and 1/2 hours and i love you for that but please don`t work yourself into a burnout! I think i speak for everybody in your community when i say that we would prefer a few days more with less content then a broken Rhaps.
no you don't speak for the entire community
I bought the digital deluxe pack but my internet went out 2 days ago...
Reveal lines first then area of affects. You're wasting spaces.
This game always makes me a little sad. It has so much potential to be much more unique and to use its themes so much better in service of a larger whole. Then they end up being just a variant of other games with some twists.
The game seems fine, honestly, but it could have been really, really good.
Poggers
Comment for the algorithm!
Also, Rhaps, any particular reason you’ve stopped doing face cam?
I'm confused as to why you wouldn't attempt to draft as many cards as you can before you battle another enemy.
Drafting a card has both a gold and opportunity cost. If I don't need the additional cards to comfortably win a fight, it's better to save drafts until later on when I have better information about what else there is to spend my gold on and about things like relic synergies which may strongly influence which cards I want from the drafts.
Mooooore pls
Is it just me or did he stop getting a dagger every turn after the second boss?
Because of Doomed Coin, he ran out of handspace to generate daggers after using all of the daggers up. The only reason why it generated before is because stacks retain those cards in the hand, and gaining more of those stacked cards do not take up additional handspace. So, if he still left 1 dagger in hand, then the ally that generates daggers would still proc each turn even when he couldn’t draw anymore cards.
Pretty good game, but lacks depth, IMO.
Also, I wish the meta-scaling wasn't as pronounced. I'm more of a roguelike than roguelite guy, myself.
Played this for a few hours...it's okay. The brush mechanic has a little too much RNG for me.
Man, that greed guy was bs, making EVERY card cost more is op af.
Time to brush up on your literature.
I can't play because my pc is low end
We will Assimilate This Voice
To Use On Our Enemies
I feel like when you noticed the coins were causing hand issues you 100% should have played them out earlier.
0/10 didn't take the Axolotl
Is playing a deck that allows him to play a gazillion cards per turn. Ignores Mortar... BRUH
Mortar? Not familiar. Is this card like fling or lightning bolt?
