- Carmacks "The hub of the Yukon" is a very nice town with lots of historical buildings. The first two buildings are the roadhouse and stable from 1902-1903 which were used in the overland trail. The stable was constructed by the White Pass and Yukon Route as they were in charge of building a winter road in between Whitehorse and Dawson City. On this trail, there was a roadhouse each 30 miles and this was one of them. The two run down cabins are what I assume are mining cabins. The last is another roadhouse that was constructed for the overland trail. For more Yukon content like this, subscribe!!
A cool look at history 😁
Great video, Taiga. Still so much to explore in the vastness of The Yukon Territory. Love the music you chose for this video. Thanks for sharing....keep exploring!
Love Yukon, love shacks, love log cabins. Subscribed. I used to like Steve Silva's channel but he hasn't uploaded in a long time. Maybe he lives in civilization now?
@@Merle1987 Thanks for subscribing! I have also liked looking at Steve Silva’s videos exploring the North. New video coming soon with a lot of old log cabins in it!
My maiden last name is Carmack, we have an ancestor that found gold in Yukon back in 1800s
Hope it gets funded for preservation. Our history needs help for a future.
