You are a life saver, my brother! After trying to link this thing to my iPhone with that garbage black magic app, I was ready to take a hammer to this mic (or the phone). LoL! Following your instructions and selecting “blue tooth” saved the day. I appreciate the insight.
That's a great question, i know if you are recoding internally it will but I think you mean while recoding video on phone does the audio going to the phone have noise canceling. And that I don't know, I will check and make a video on that. Thanks again as this is a great question to test out.
@RuiNemesys just for you...Nope, it doesn't work as I described earlier. Noise canceling will not activate on the transmitter while connected to the phone.
Hi Ken, great video..is the DJI USB receiver recognized on the camera app in Auto video mode? The problem with the pro mode is that it doesn't utilize Auto HDR and so it's by no means equal to the Auto mode.
@FloriTravels yeah that's the problem that it is recognized but is treated as a device to use for making calls, and the audio is quite substandard. This is basically the only way to use it if you don't have the receiver.
@@KenPeriman Thanks ken; my question was presuming the use of the receiver: In this case, is the audio coming from the receiver only recorded when: 1. "USB" is being selected as audio source in the Video PRO-Mode? or, 2. is it automatically recognized as dominant audio sources in the video DEFAULT-mode as well? Just asking you this, in case you have tried out the receiver on a samsung phone.
Great video! I want to record podcasts on my phone Samsung s20 FE but I cannot find a recording app that recognizes the dji mic 2. Can you please help me?
Thank you for the comment. Unfortunately if you don't have the pro video on the S20FE then I don't think this will work for you. I am unsure if there is an app that you can use but if you really want to use the mic then consider getting the receiver for the mic and plugging it to the phone? Sorry not much help here.
I have pro mode on my Samsung A32, but does not have a mic section to tap (Need newer phone). I am trying to use the system via the USB dongle on the DJI Mic 2 receiver. Isn't connecting and no recording coming through. Any suggestions?
For using with your A32 device I think you are quite limited but might I suggest another possible device that I have and use quite often...try the Ulanzi J12 and they are inexpensive. They work decently well.
@@KenPeriman Thanks for the response. I have since bought a new phone, Samsung S23 FE which accepts the DJI MIC 2 USB in. I bought a Shure MLV lav mic also. The only thing with the connection is the lav has a TRRS male end and the DJI transmitter has a TRS input so I bought a female TRRS to male TRS connector and it works great.
@@Memorylane1957 I bought just 1 mic dji mic 2 . Bluetooth work fine with pro video on Samsung s23. I tried to connect the mic with usb c cable but auto mode didnot use thr dji mic 2, it just use the internal mic
So, I checked, and directly, it will not work with TicTok and Instagram. But if you record the video and then post and edit in those apps it will function. But again using the app directly to record then no it won't work. Good question.
I bought it and i can tell that it's useless, you can only use it with the Video recorder and only in pro mode. No tiktok, no instagram, neither any other app. I prefer using the main camera and not the pro mode because it doesn't have face filters. So i have to chose between using filter in normal mode or dji mic in pro mode😢 I will return it for sure
So the best option for you would be the mics that have an adapter or connection for the receiver that will connect to your phone so that you can use a mic. DJI has this, but of course, it's an added expense. The intent of my video is that if you have the mic only already for the DJI pocket 3 and then you also want to use it on your Samsung phone, you can.

did you set it to be found on the mic? need to press and hold the button for the light to flash faster then its discoverable
will the DJI Mic 2 work with "Director's View"? Dual Video recording
I'm going to check on that. I think it's only in pro mode but I'll check and let you know.

Why the heck do you make the phone screen so small???? M??
