So good to see Dreamcatcher being recognized for their amazing content and discovered by more people, they deserve it. Been a fan of them since debut and have watched them live, worth every penny, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
Definitely check out some more of their music. Endless Night is definitely one of their more metal influenced songs, but all of their title tracks and some b-sides incorporate rock and metal elements and fuse them with other genres. If you want to check out something newer, then they just dropped an EP titled Virtuous with the title track Justice.
Welcome to Dreamworld! Thank you for your reaction! 💗☺️ Dreamcatcher (DC/Deukae) is an unique 7 member girl group. They're a K-pop group known to incorporate pop & other genres and, in one way or another, blending with rock/metal/synth instrumentals within *ALL* their *TITLE TRACKS*. Thus creating an unique signature blend of genre known only to Dreamcatcher. They're also known as the Concept Queens and having Powerful live performances, usually with dark/horror/creepy concept themes MVs. Their title tracks MVs have always been story based, connecting one song to another. **This is only for their TITLE TRACKS.** They've had concerts and live performances with live bands, which, to me, has the best versions, which many InSomnias can agree that. On a flipside, their B-SIDES hold a *HUGE* variety of genres and experimental fusion creativity. It's like a different world of Dreamcatcher. Ballads, EDM, jazz, funk, reggae, hard metal/rock, citypop, just to name some. Their B-side tracks is where all members flex their vocals & versatility which seems infinite, as they continue to surprise us everytime they comeback with new songs. The members also showed their creativity by taking part and getting credited for the composing, writing, choreographies for some of their songs too. They have also done numerous vocal/dance covers, adding their own twist to the songs, making it their own. And all 7 of them wrote/composed/produced their own solo songs & included them in the Apocalypse:Save Us full Album. *COMPANY* : Dreamcatcher Company (DCC) (Formerly known as Happyface Entertainment) *DEBUT* : January 13, 2017 *FANDOM NAME* : InSomnia {In Dreams(Latin)} -Formed in 2018, here's a short DC video, officially introducing the fandom name: ua-cam.com/video/2KXFvi6r3EY/v-deo.html *MEMBERS* : JiU ('94) (Vocalist, Lead dancer) SuA ('94) (Main dancer, Vocalist, Rapper) Siyeon ('95) (Main Vocalist) Handong ('96) (Vocalist) Yoohyeon ('97) (Lead Vocalist) Dami ('97) (Main Rapper, Lead dancer, Vocalist) Gahyun ('99) (Vocalist, Lead Rapper) *Honestly, by now all of them are capable doing all the positions.* *MAIN COMPOSERS* : Ollounder, Leez, Edenary Team (Leez left recently, so I'm not sure if he'll come back for future works) *MAIN CHOREOGRAPHER* : Hwang Sooyeon (aka S8YN) *No. of Albums/EPs/Singles* : 17 (Kor) 6 (Jap) (I think, I might be wrong) UA-cam Channel : ua-cam.com/users/Dreamcatcherofficial ua-cam.com/users/happyfaceent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are currently 4 storylines: Note* Storylines are for their title tracks only. *NIGHTMARE* Series Dreamcatcher cursed and became Nightmares, trying to escape. *DYSTOPIA* Trilogy Basically tackling the vicious bullying through words/media *Apocalypse* Trilogy A call to safe the Earth *VersuS* 2 part series Alter ego Ying/Yang of Villians and Heroes Note** Feel free to conclude your own theories, as the storylines have different interpretations from the fandom. Definitely gotta check out more, their unique sound makes them stand out from other kpop groups. I recommend reacting to Justice, it's their latest release.
Definitely you will love Dreamcatcher. They constantly mixes pop and rock in their Korean title tracks and their Japanese songs are heavier like endless night. Their early songs are heavily J-rock inspired. I recommend you their nightmare series that consists of: - Chase me - Good night - Fly high - You and I - What - Piri - Breaking Out
Btw as someone who likes harder style, I really do not understand why you have been avoiding DreamCatcher. Yes, they are in their own genre that they have pioneered and perfected over almost a decade so they cannot be mapped to any existing music genre so their title tracks are a bit of an acquired taste but what they do and how they do is just absolute world class. And NO, they are not making anime openings, they are 7 really good vocalists with a team behind them with a creative freedom. Yes, they mix in rock and metal into their title tracks, but I cannot name two that sounds similar, while their B-Sides that have similar production quality cover dozens of genres.
I wouldn't say I avoided them. It's just because I was told that if I like rock/metal then I would like x song/y artist and sometimes I would check it out and it wasn't quite rock. I think of stray kids district 9 despite me liking that song, I wouldn't call it rock just because it has a guitar. So every time I saw someone mention that I should check out whatever because it has a rock sound I would go "yeah right" and check it out if I remembered but dreamcatcher is no joke. This song definitely gives off jrock vibes but the vocals don't sound anything like the Japanese female rock bands that I know of (bandmaid, nemophila...) and they sound like K-pop idols. It's so interesting and I gotta look into it more. So much I didn't mention during this stream because I was baffled
No more,Don't light my fire, wind blows those are the few songs that came up to my mind obviously there are couple of heavy instrument in their b-sides my brain is just not functioning right now
More, really have various rock genre in their song: alternative, new, gothic (if im not mistake), metal, punk (?)😅i'm not really know deep but i read some post
Since it seems like the Dreamcatcher fans are already giving you the spiel, I'll just offer input as another metalhead: they're legit. They've collabed with various producers, but that's in addition to sticking with their core producers since their re/debut in 2017. So they've got a really cohesive identity across all their various tracks. A lot of concept albums and song cycles, too. Expect a lot of power metal, gothic metal, prog metal, industrial metal, and symphonic metal in their songs. Their latest release (Justice) has lyrics straight out of a Freedom Call song. A lot of others will probably point you in the direction of their latest release, trilogies, or a timeline approach. Definitely want to check them out. So, I'll offer some recommendations if you want to know where to look when it comes to metal. You can check out Rising, Deja Vu, Bon Voyage, Full Moon, What, No More, and The Curse of the Spider (2024 concert ver).
Even their debut, Chase Me, is very rock. They always are fire anyway, and most of their title songs have rock/metal stuff, while b-sides are usually more experimental and diverse, while still keeping their sound. The heaviest songs they have at the moment are No More and The Curse of the Spider LB7D concert version, specifically this one, the original is not that hard.
Welcome to the dreamworld Dreamcatcher, it's the only group of kpop that incorporates rock and metal into their music and they are very talented. I suggest you their dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments.... 1. Scream 2. Boca 3. Odd Eye And i suggest " deja vu " ( it's a masterpiece)😊
Listen to DreamCatcher "No More" (Ponycanyon is where they were releasing their Japanese tracks) now THAT is a proper hard ass J-Metal track, just check the first 2 seconds and you will hear it :D It has an anime style M/V. ua-cam.com/video/HanFwe41w9s/v-deo.html (yes, this IS the official M/V although looks like a bit it was fan made.... Well, cheap one but great music and deep lyrics) For a real anime opening, DreamCatcher "Eclipse" is for the anime "King's Raid: Successors of the Will" ua-cam.com/video/b9UxVkTfkVg/v-deo.html
Would you be up to reacting to BABYMETAL? I would first suggest the recent live performance of Monochrome and Road of Resistance from the PIA Arena 2023 concerts, and Syncopation and YAVA! with Kami band intro from Legend MM 2024 concerts. Monochrome: ua-cam.com/video/8pvxCzhBsTM/v-deo.html Road of Resistance: ua-cam.com/video/vC1eKk4qrT4/v-deo.html Syncopation: ua-cam.com/video/ffZO_zxDIvM/v-deo.html YAVA! ua-cam.com/video/ffZO_zxDIvM/v-deo.html
If you like beautiful grown women, absolutely BEAST vocals, various rock genres and a diverse discography … Dreamcatcher is IT.
You're right. Dreamcatcher is IT
So good to see Dreamcatcher being recognized for their amazing content and discovered by more people, they deserve it. Been a fan of them since debut and have watched them live, worth every penny, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
You have just discovered the FACE OF ROCK in kpop. I hope you listen to some of their korean title tracks now :>
Yeah i caught a whiplash from all this. I had no idea people meant it when they said these girls had a rock sound
Dreamcatcher justice 🎤🔊😵💫🤘
DREAMCATCHER in the house dude!!! 🤘👹
PS dont sleep on their intros, some of the best instrumentals in existence ie MY TOYS, DYSTOPIA INTRO, OOTD INTRO
Intro "Welcome to dream" is great, too.
Yes! My toys is maybe my favorite intro, all their intros are good.
Dreamcatcher is the best group in my heart !!
No more is another Dreamcatcher song that goes hard
Definitely check out some more of their music. Endless Night is definitely one of their more metal influenced songs, but all of their title tracks and some b-sides incorporate rock and metal elements and fuse them with other genres. If you want to check out something newer, then they just dropped an EP titled Virtuous with the title track Justice.
Brooo you gonna love so many of their songs. Im metal head too soo 😌
