Hi Kevin, Would you be able to make a video about Microsoft Forms and Power Automate? Specifically the approvals process. and is there a way to pull all the data over to excel?

that was great video, but i have a question, my excel doesn't show many option in tool bar . e.g. it doesn't have that analyze option in home tab, why?
Content creation is a job in itself so I'm taking the time to leave this comment. I've been stumbling around with Pivot Tables for a while now, but never really understood how they worked. This video was engaging and concise enough to really help me out. Kevin, thank you so much for this! Your tone and pacing made this video an easy watch and I honestly hope to use more of these videos in future when I want to learn more about Excel. Thank you so much for your efforts and passion for teaching Excel!
Never having used Pivotal Tables, I'm saving your video because I've learned you can create a table with any particular detail being focused on and further breaking down those sums. Excellent video and provides instructions regarding details and how to highlight or filter data. Premium quality tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you KEVIN I have struggled a lot (6 months)before especially during the interview when they asked about the pivot table, I watched so many videos but couldn't find one worthy as I could not understand the concept but after watching your video I finally learn what is pivot table, when and how to use. Your teaching style is clear and concise I obviously refer others to watch more Excel videos of you including me:)
You are an amazing excel teacher! I feel excel functions are so easy after watching your videos. You help me find a job! Thank you so much for your help!
I am SO glad I have found your videos and tutorials on UA-cam! The best I’ve ever found - simple and easy to understand. I feel like I can finally improve my Excel skills! Thank you so much!
This was brilliant and simple, thank you so much. Pivot tables are basically just different ways to sort and visualize your data, much like a Microsoft Access "query". Very nicely explained.
I think what makes it hard initially, is watching tutorials without a data set or idea of what you want to achieve with any data. Once you have that, this tutorial is perfect.
This is Fran Kleiner. Your create pivot tables in Excel was very helpful. I created a couple of pivot tables for work which I have to update. It looks like the version of Excel I was using changed and the way I was doing pivot tables before looked different. By watching your video, I realized how it now works, and I also learned about other functions, like the slicer feature, which I didn't know how to use.
Greetings from Australia. A fabulously thorough "nuts and bolts" portrayal of the capacity of Pivot Tables to analyse data. Crystal clear explanations of the "how tos" of Pivot tabling.
Hi, Kevin! This was really very helpful and easy to follow. I was able to follow all the steps in your video using the Excel workbook except for Insert Timeline and Analyse Data. It kept on saying that there was no field formatted as Date even if there was a column on Date. I also do not have the pivot Analyze Data on my toolbar. Maybe because I was just using Excel on my laptop and not the one on the one drive. Thank you!
Kevin, you are a great teacher and your voice is very user-friendly. I learned so much about pIvot tables! This is going to be awesome for my business. Thank you.
Hi Kevin, I just started watching your video and this is the first one I've watched. I just want to say that you have explained it in a very simple yet detailed manner and I could easily understand and catch on. Sending you a message to say I am grateful that you have thought of this. Thank you so much and I will continue to support your channel. Be well and be more blessed! From Malaysia learning from you!
EXCELLENT KEVIN, thank you. I moved out of the corporate world during the Covid Pandemic, and resolved to never work again. But things changed and I am now employed again. But.... during the 4 years I forgot a lot, but thanks to your video I could quickly brush up again. I thank and salute you, Kevin
Kevin you are one of my favourite UA-camrs for tech stuff. Thank you very much for your videos. Stay blessed and Happy New Year. Greetings from the other side of the world - sunny Singapore.
Assalamo alaikum. Kevin your Pivot Table made my day at the office and I was just watching your video and my face was like a BIG SMILEY EMOJI with joy, It was veerrryyy helpful man, Thank you so very much sir for this informative video. I have no words to express. Thank you again
I have been using Pivot Table for years but today in a few minutes I learned more from you than I learned in years. One request: lower your speed by 10%. You are an amazing teacher. You talk for listeners and not for yourself. Best.
Pivot tables was really confusing for me when we wanted to have a look at different data, but after watching your video I have clearly understood how to analyse the data and get the desired data. The option of calculated field was something new which is really useful. You have made me understand every concept in a very simple way which I enjoyed and you mainatined the curiosity to learn even more. thankyou for your excellent way of teaching.Kudos to your efforts!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I knew a bit about pivot tables but had mainly copied ones that others had created and played around with this. I needed to create one from scratch and this video was such an eye opener. I never knew you could get so much from a pivot table!
Kevin , you are a great teacher. Kudos to you for sharing knowledge and contributing to the community. Pls continue the good work and we are eager to learn more and more from you!! Wishing the very best!!
Great job. I definitely understand pivot tables better. I did slow down the video speed to follow you in the workbook. By the way that was a huge help.
thank you KEVIN for the very interesting course your a life saver and please i would love to know how you calculated the formular on the data sheet or a video on that sumif , countif.
If you are familiar with if functions, you know over half of the sumif and countif functions. Basically the range is you telling excel what to add, and then the criteria is you defining what “rule” needs to be followed in order for excel to add the range. I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this thorough tutorial!! In one afternoon, I've gone from being clueless/intimidated by PivotTables to feeling empowered by and confident to use them!!
Hi Kevin, following along your handy pivot table tutorial as a refresher and came across a little issue. Just thought i'd let you know that the date column (E) is no longer formatted as a date in the example linked below resulting in Excel unable to create a timelime. The error message is not really helpful as it states "We cannot create a Timeline for this report because it doesn't have a field formatted as a Date" 😅. Strangely in the current version of Excel that is installed on my PC (Office / Microsoft 365) as of 28.11.22 I don't have the option to add recommended pivot tables in a either an existing worksheet or new worksheet - they are automatically added into a new worksheet 🤷♂. Anyway, subbed! Thank you for the very easy to follow amazing tutorial 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
The date column is actually (F): it is still a date. Excel reads the dates as integers. So, to fix this issue, you just select the column F -> right click -> format cells and then choose Date in the Category sidebar. From there you can select the correct date format which is second to last on the list. Second option is in the ribbon of the home tab right next to Wrap Text change General to Short Date. For both options, you have to go to the Data tab and press Refresh All for them to work.
Thank you Kevin, wow this is really nice and engaging. Please do a video on Match, lookup and indexing. As a business analyst i need to start do my job without running to the developers every time.
