As a pivot table user, I can definitely say that I can point anyone who has zero knowledge in Pivot table, and he/she would be able to learn how to use Pivot table proficiently just by watching this 10min video. Awesome, I wish I had seen this video when I started learning about Pivot table. :)
Just so you know sir, many of us who watched this video, send our comments to Microsoft. She does NOT know how to explain this feature. A 14 minute video only begins to sort through the gravity of this feature. This feature alone is given 5.5 hours at Microsoft training in Seattle. Thanks for the many videos about Excel. Excel is by far my favorite application. It’s also the most frequently used in my work. I’ve learned so much from your tutorials, making my work so much more efficient and more effective.
Hello Leila, I just want to say thank you for all your Excel videos. This summer I started my first Accounting internship and I must say that all your videos have allowed me to do data analysis much more easier and faster and this has gained me favor with my superiors. Keep up the amazing work.
She is literally one of the best on UA-cam. The examples are real world and the explanations are surprisingly easy to follow. At least twice a week I send someone a link to her channel when asked how to do something in excel.
Senior citizen here. Knew the basics long ago, but just started new job and realized how far behind I am. Thanks for creating a thoughtful, paced easy to understand tutorial. I'll be right back in the saddle after I finish your amazing classes!
Brilliant tutorial. I have been told for years by various people how good Pivot Tables are, but every time I asked for a demo or training session nothing happened. Today I finally thought to myself . . . . . 'Google, help me !' and in less than 15mins thanks to Leila and UA-cam I have found the answer to my question 'How can PT's help me', and I have within the next 15mins I have applied your tutorial to a copy of my existing sandboxed data as successful tests. It was lucky for me that for years I have created data sheets using a formalised manner that worked for me 'out of the box' to implementing Pivot Tables. A big thank you.
Okay, I’ve got to hand it to you: this is good stuff. One of my biggest pet peeves is people using a spreadsheet as a database, and that’s still a really bad idea; but this feature is actually a pretty good argument for why someone might want to export data to Excel. There’s nothing here that a real database-driven application couldn’t do, but the fact that the average user can do it on the fly is pretty dang impressive.
Leila...as a non-Pivot Table user, this revelation was amazing. Your explanation was clear and concise and extremely easy to follow. I wish I knew how to use this when I was in management. Now retired, I use it to track my food delivery side hustle. Many, many thanks!!!
You explain Excel very well in my opinion. I like how you anticipate some things AND I really appreciate how you explain the "Why" a part of a feature works the way it does. Great Job Leila
The way you explain things is incredible. I love that you go direct to the point and keep it simple. Congrats and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us :)
Great video, as always. One thing to consider is that copying one pivot table to make another one means you will be using the same pivot cash, just like you said, which also means you will keep your file considerably smaller if you have a big data set.
Thank you so much for making Excel so easy to understand. Your pace and ability to deliver the learning in a concise & digestible way is very much appreciated.
Fantastic! I’m going to check your courses, I’m hoping you have an excel course from start to advanced, and not just tutorials. You are a great teacher!
This is BY FAR the best video about pivot tables. Other videos left me feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information leading up to the creation of a pivot table. Your checklist of required info before creating a pivot table is so helpful, and I especially like how you explained the importance of turning the data set into a table first. I was never taught this before. I also like how you showed the "Recommend PivotTables"feature. Thank you so much for creating this video!
My honest comment, I have tried a lot of yout tube channels, but never seen any instructor like you. You are making my job easy in my company... Thanks a lot 😊😊😊
