The mayans didn't say the world was gonna end, they just didnt have a need for a calender to go more than 500 years into the future. our calenders only last one year, but we dont say the world will end on december 31st
Unrelated: watched this. Radio is on. Radio starts up our emergency 'Serious but not life threatening' sting. Turns out it was an alert stating that the radio station supports our rescue service and don't play in floods. Got a bit worried when I heard it!
