I’d love to see Doctor Who return to this - the writing, the music, the great acting etc. Rose’s departure in 2006 broke my heart, but there were so many memorable moments in 2005/2006 that defined this run and have yet to be rivalled by later writing. Father’s Day (2005), The Girl in the Fireplace, Age of Steel, and the 2006 finale are all favourites.
My nephews and Sons and Grandparents all sat down to watch this era like we did decades before when I was a kid watching Tom Baker dieing and changing 😮 and then learning everything about Doctor Who
So did my cousin! She tried to convince me it was good when I was 13 and she was 11. She was right, of course. But I didn't discover him again until 1 year before David Tennant left. By then she informed me that she hated me and always had... sad. I still love her though... she was the sister I never had.
What a fantastic video. Thank you so much. I've been a Dr Who fan since the first episode with William Hartnell. Thank you again for this wonderful video. Love from Oz
Madame de pompadour with all the things that the doctor says and a few things more she was also scientist and a mathematician. She was so far ahead of time when you think about it and yet she didn't deserve it's sad.
My favorite scene in the school reunion is with Sarah Jane and Rose and then it gets to Sarah Jane and Rose and the doctor and naturally when the bad guys come in they don't appeal to Rose no know they're trying to get Sarah Jane and there's a reason for that they know the doctor has always kind of been in love with Sarah Jane even if he didn't cross that line and furthermore they know that Sarah Jane is the only one the doctor would listen to. And they try to seduce her with the argument that she would be young and forever with the doctor and that's the whole point she understands what they're up to and she has to remind the doctor because he literally falls for their lines Hook Line and sinker until she straightens him out.
2006, the year I became a Who fan! This, Confidential, BBC Three repeats, UKTV Gold Doctor Who Omnibus and all on Saturday Night. Doctor Who Night! As it should be!
You really think so? Compare 'Angels and Demons' on Netflix (may not be the exact title, but just search for David Tennant or Michael Sheen?) To Doctor Who, where the only anger he could really do was a little shouting and breathing hard. I was gobsmacked with his performance in the Netflix series! He even did the Mick Jagger on stage walk! Sexy!
Does this mean Fear Her has been reworked to remove the Huw Edwards parts and will be re-released? Or is this going to be the only way to watch at least some of the episode? (thankful it wasn't one of the better eps - except for the council guy)
I think I have it on DVD... the episode I saw on TV didn't include it... I got the set just after Matt Smith quit. Been meaning to rewatch since we lost Doctor Who even on the Roku. Not paying for Disney for one show, I'll just get it on DVD when a new doctor is cast... I have all of the 12th and 13th doctors already. But I didn't like that episode either, much... too creepy with no highs.
@@RD9_DesignsThe TV version always included it. I suspect you simply didn’t realise because you don’t know who that is and what their role in the episode was.
Queen Victoria wouldn't have pulled up across in front like she was a Catholic okay that just would not happen because Queen Victoria was not a Catholic in fact the law for made any Catholic from ever being on the throne.
Hahaha, the cyberman that increased the Ghost Ship was wearing a silver glove, instead of the usual carpaint silver metallic one! It's interesting the things you notice after you've watched the episodes so many times!
DT tried to cry when the Doctor lost Rose... His eyes got red, but he just couldn't pull it off. I can tell they did their lines with stand in doubles too... at least Billie did... the Doctor was clean shaven from the back, and stubbly from the front. She did say in an interview that hers were real tears over leaving the show though.
Yea they need some new writers maybe some one with a little more Dr. Who Knowledge and stop with all the woke political agendas ! So just like history it will slowly fade away for a wile and may be in 10 yrs it will have big comeback ?
@@DrWhoFanJLiterally one episode was "Oh, racism bad!" We get it, racism is bad. And every once in a while, we are told the Doctor is a black, queer guy. Like we get it, he is, y'all don't have to say it every time
The Rose Tyler years were the best.
Correction year. Tennant took over and suddenly Rose then Martha were mad for the Doctor's form.
@@JohnWinchester3567 Christopher Eccleston fell for Rose first. It was continued by David Tennant.

Unfortunately for Martha Jones we got a season of the Doctor talking about Rose
This takes me back
It's my last chance to say it rose Tyler........😢😢😢😢

So is "Planet of the Dead" available for streaming anywhere? Amazon jumps right from Tennent to Smith without the in between episode.

Anglicans took a lot with them when they split, including the sign of the cross.
is it just me or Rose in New Earth is hot?
Push up bra and different posture, that's all.

I've watched Doctor Who since the 79s and it was liberal then. It will only bother people who want to hate.
