Hey look, there’s my order there on your screeeen 😂 loved the presentation and attention to detail on the package, I kept the confetti cos it’s just adorable! 💖💖
Just the encouragement I needed to get!!! I have been spending all day figuring out supplies, shipping materials, shipping costs, etc. for my upcoming sticker shop!!! Although going out the extra mile is extremely important, this is a never ending process and there are so many resources out there and trying to find the best of the best will result in never even starting up!! so thank you Catherine, I find your videos very encouraging and as you said I will get my first product out there and keep on improving with time
Your packaging is so cute! A good bubble mailer size for enamel pins (or anything packaged on a business card sized backing) is the A/000. You can also get large letter PIP boxes in C6 size if you want a more sturdy and eco friendly option 👍
Your packaging is adorable but I hope you are all calculating the cost of all of those extras to see if you’re actually making any money. I’ve never received fancy packaging from any company, unless it was a very expensive product. I want you to make money!
usually you can buy stuff in bulk for extremely cheap when looking at individual costs of each item. surprisingly prints come very cheap so i highly doubt she’s loosing money ^^
@@dailylife9640 yes running a shop and posting listings on etsy is pretty easy, however do look up about all the fees they take as you might make a loss
do you have any advice? i see that you’re an army and i wanna start doing enamel pins but i’m thinking about doing simple designs and then working up my way into doing drawings of the members and stuff
I’m so thankful for stumbling across your channel. I’ve been in the process of trying to get into starting an Etsy shop and hopefully making a living from it and I just don’t know where to start. Your little tips and tricks have been god sent 💕 for just about EVERYTHING.
This was super helpful! I've only sold a few items on my Etsy so still figuring it out! I also uploaded my first studio vlog to my UA-cam the other week so I hope my advice in the future videos I do will help in the same way your videos help me!!!! Thank you Catherine you da best!
You are so adorable! I usually forward a video when it's long but in your case, i watch it entirely without skipping. I love your accent, your face, arts and your office. Thank you for sharing everything to us. It's so helpful, you are such an inspiration. Keep rockin'! 😊😊😍
I’ve recently started an Etsy store and my packaging is very basic. This video has given me so much inspiration for future packaging. Thank you for making wonderful, informative videos 😁😊
I love these kind of videos. Shows a great deal of process and behind the scenes footage. I value all the hardwork that a small business owner puts in. :-)
It is no surprise that you put so much thought and effort into your packaging & shipping. I've come to learn this is how you function as a creator and business person. Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks for the video, very informative! How do you determine the shipping costs? Do you weigh your packages prior to taking the packages to the post office? What are some mistakes you made in the beginning in regards to shipping?
I just started my etsy shop selling dog bandanas and your packaging tips really helped! i've only had a few orders but they really liked the presentation of it al. SOOO thank you and i love your shop, its aesthetic and products!!
i don't own an etsy or anything but i LOVE these videos! you & em work so hard & it definetly shows! your packing style is so simple yet visually appealing!😍♥️
Yes, I'm so excited for this! I was actually up late last night searching your channel to see if you did a video like this yet that I missed somehow, what a coincidence! ❤
I love this so much, I'm so thankful you talked about the large letter sizing and such in UK because working out what ships in what size was putting me off opening for ages, and I didn't even know those large letter boxes existed so I'll be sure to get some!
Love this video, very helpful. Could you please do an updated studio tour? Showing how you store all your supplies etc? It looks so lovely, I'd love to see it closer :) xx
I have a suggestion! You might not need it, but if you print the enamel pin backing paper with a tiny dot in the center, you will be able to stick the pin in the center every time!
nice to have a behind the scene look. you do an amazing job not only in doing illustrations an arty stuff but also in doing those kind if behind the scenes things. greets from switzerland
Hi, Katnipp and I am from Australia and I want to become a freelancer like you when i grow up and sell products. I am currently selling scrunchies and planning to make stickers and enamel pins but im having a hard time finding a manufacturer. You are such an inspiration i love you so much. I love your packaging i will have to send you some of my stickers xx
Thank you so much for these videos. Specially the last advice about just getting started, sometimes we get stuck in the idea of perfect and we don't see that we'll just get there! So thank you!
Thank you for sharing. It's annoying how not a lot of businesses share these behind the scenes workflows. Aside from shipping I've been researching ways on how to handle/process the shipping orders and manage inventory. Not many of those either.
Aww you look so pritty with that summer blouse. Love see your videos, makes me feel so inspired! 😻... oh well, need to see the rest 18 minutes of your cute and very organized studio vlog 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for sharing this. I’m constantly working at my packaging and, you’re right it’s a work in progress. I love your packaging and I’ve got some really good tips. X
This video was so encouraging!! I’ve had my Etsy shop (FloresAndCo) for about over a year now and my packaging has definitely evolved over time. Even though it’s not where I want it to be, I’m proud of the progress and I’m excited to grow more so I can invest a little more into it. Love your vlogs Catherine!! 💕
As a freelance Illustrator are u self taught? Trying to make some stickers bought me here, do you use an over laminate on your stickers? Thank you for your time. Your vlogs are very informative .
I was watching sooo many packaging videos lately, Like you knew what I needed😊 I love how you show everything in detail thank you so much! 💕 I would open an etsy store soon but I´m still confused about the shipping I need to go to the post office and ask everything💕
Your packaging is amazing ❤️ I honestly want to order something just for that packaging lol! Your brand is so on point and I’m so inspired. I’ve decided to set up my own Etsy shop selling oversized hair scrunchies and want the same feeling when a customer gets my package. I’ve ordered so many samples of polymailers, tissue paper, cardboard boxes but really don’t know where to start and how much to spend on packaging. Would you give some tips about packaging a hair scrunchie and what you think would look cool? I’m getting stickers and confetti but the whole packaging side of things I don’t have a clue! Hayley xx
hi Catherine! love to watch your working process. you put so much love in it! I'm curious where to buy the transparent envelopes for artwork, something like in the 7th minute of your video :)
Could you please please please talk about how your pin display process someday? I'm assuming it's print on inkjet happy fabric and then putting in embroidery frames but I'd LOVE to see your process.
Just a suggestion: you could try cutting the A4 bubble mailer in half when you send just 1 enamel pin, then close it with tape. Since it has the business card facing the pin, it is protected enough in my experience. Just to reduce the amount of plastic per item.
Meztli Morales that’s a great idea! I actually don’t usually purchase this size they usually come a lot smaller! But there was a mistake with my order! But this is a great idea in the meantime thank you!! 😍💖
Your videos are always so super helpful!! When I first received my little goodies from your store it gave me so much inspo for my own store. I ship a lot of A3 art prints so I find Mailer Tubes provide the most protection. My Etsy is Letisha Rangi Art xxx
I desperately want to start selling Enamel Pins and its amazing bc i don't have to buy a printer as I can just use stamps! I love this so much, thank you!
OMG, your office is just a whole level of cuteness overload!
heheh oh my gosh tysm hehe
Hey look, there’s my order there on your screeeen 😂 loved the presentation and attention to detail on the package, I kept the confetti cos it’s just adorable! 💖💖
Amie Howard Art Heheheh yayyy! This makes me so so happy Hehehehe 🤣🤣🤣🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 I’m glad you like it!
I love how even thou Catherine is away living her best life in Florida she still gives us UA-cam videos 🙌🏻❤️🥳

Diana Walsh I agree I was going to say too that it’s more eco friendly to use the a/000 bubble mailer for pins and you can fit a good amount in
Ahh, I love how you put so much thought into your packaging. Also, the people you've been drawing lately are SO STINKIN CUTE GORL.
I could listen to her talk all day! I love it
Your packaging is adorable but I hope you are all calculating the cost of all of those extras to see if you’re actually making any money. I’ve never received fancy packaging from any company, unless it was a very expensive product. I want you to make money!
Cupcake Cottage Studio I do and it’s usually pennies. Packaging for me costs about $0.30
jolie looking out for them
Cupcake Cottage Studio That is true, but I think for one of the extras they said they don’t want it because it came out too pixelated.
usually you can buy stuff in bulk for extremely cheap when looking at individual costs of each item. surprisingly prints come very cheap so i highly doubt she’s loosing money ^^
Jolie do u know what profit is?
I’ve always had great respect for Etsy shops. They always work so hard on their products and packaging!
Please do a video on how to set up shipping cost and taxes. ❤️
Omg I love your Etsy shop, you just got a follower on Etsy. I already subscribed ☺️

These are my fav type of videos ☺️☺️☺️
I love seeing packaging videos! Would it be possible to do a video on how you deal with complaints? That's what scares me about setting up a shop!
