new construction house.. fire advanced already from garage to second floor.. no way you are going to mount an effective safe interior attack.. floor above agarge likely is nothing more than truss and OSB thats burned through.. not sure on their deck gun aim though.. that mioghtve been better used to shoot water in the upstairs window instead of water the back yard
Why are they so afraid to attack the fire. They could have gotten it when the second guy with the hose and air pack would have taken the hose and moved in.
Moved in...? 🤣 The fire was already through much of the first and second floors before the VFD even arrived. It moved so fast that one of the occupants was burned just trying to get their dogs outside. But why don't you suit up and show us how it's done tough guy?

Apparently decided that defensive was good despite the huge opportunity to go offensive. Even though they wasted the opportunity to go offensive. Tough loss for the homowner.

@@jezpg8522 Because the fire had already spread through much of the interior and both floors before they even arrived. But thanks for confirming you have no idea what you are talking about.
Every house fire I watch the homeowners always leave their cars in the driveway instead of moving them. I understand some can't get to the keys to move them but not every single one I see.
A bit after three minutes I was thinking I wonder if the deck gun would be appropriate here since it seems it was an exterior attack. I wonder if the deck gun/engine had been positioned a bit differently if it would have been more efficient?
You can see a different fire company has arrived around 10mins as they just get the job done while being watched by the other company. Sorry if I'm wrong but that and some other things said in the comments all look obvious to us.
0:01 In the TIME it took to lay out all that hose, the Deck Gun would have drenched the garage and all that would be left is mopping up. That means, the job would have been done LONG before the video started. How many times have I said that? 100 times? A 1000 times? As you arrive to find what's burning. You park so the DG has a good line of sight on the Visible Burning Material whether you use it or not because you may have to, eventually. Look how that straight stream is just pissing on that volume of burning material. Every second the energy of that fire could be penetrating the main part of the house. 0:10 Now watch him and think of a Fountain Statue. All through this video, that I can NOT watch from this point on, keep in mind, the fire should have been out before this video even started. Also keep in mind, this could be YOUR HOUSE and your HEROES are taking this long to save your possessions.
if they house is a total loss the homeowner gets a new house, no? maybe dont know watching a video and you can tell if they re doing it right? are you a fireman? have you put out house fires and have alot of experience?
I watched a house fire in my own neighborhood where the dept did exactly that.. now granted im in a rather large city where lots of manpower was on the way.. the first engine on scene hit the burning garage with the deck gun which knocked the remains of the garage doors out of the way and put a good douse on the garage and the vehicle on fire within.. similar to here the fire had extended to the room above the garage.. no self venting however we all watched the blinds melting down into liquid in the window.. the deck gun operator(the engine driver) mustve seen it too as he blew out the window with the deck gun and doused that room.. by then the other units started showing up and the crew on the first engine had hydrant supply established and were stretching 2 handlines.. the house was saved though lots of heat and smoke damage to the contents.. made use of all personnel and equipment efficiently and as a result the fire didnt stand a chance.. in the case here the fire got away so much an interior attack esp on the second floor mightve been dangerous due to deteriorated floor conditions.. I have no idea the building standard in WA state.. but here in ohio.. typical new construction is simply 2x4 metal plated floor trusses and OSB for decking..

nice job getting it out, if there are flaws to this attack I am sure the chief will see to better training after all we cant always do it right 100 percent of the time and we all need refreshers no?

These are not firemen! They are hose holders!
Why they did they not attach externally and transition to internal attach?
They are called, "Fountain Statues!"

Why don't you volunteer and show them how it's done?

LaConner, WA needs to get a real fire department.
You ready to cut them a check?
Today firefighters are scare or not strong enough to used 2 1/2" hose to attack fire. We do not see that anymore. It's pathetic to see them worked.
