- Although there are some swingers out there in the RV community, We're NOT swingers. We choose to live our RV life with boundaries but this video isn't really about that. This week, we travel to Patrick Space Force Base. We had a little travel issue but we had fun.

We used a water softner for years in AZ and it never did anything to our coffee pot or anything else. We also using a water softner and a clearsource 3 filter system for everything in our motorhome.
Wow, nice - we've ruined 2 keurigs because of the softener. No problems with current one since not using softened water 🤷

The pineapples were so funny. Leslie I vacuum alot too but not because of Milo 😂. We have never seen a launch yet. You got an amazing shot of it.

Actually the pineapple became a symbol of hospitality, welcoming, and friendship back in the 1700’s. It’s the upside down pineapples that you want to look out for. Ya don’t want your pineapples upside down well unless you’re into that kinda of thing. 🤣 Enjoy your videos, safe travels to you guys.

We have a couple of those rocket vacuums. We like it but make sure you clean out the intake filter every week if it's used that much.

Lol.😂😂😂😂 oh the pineapples. A good friend of ours put pineapple stickers on our RV then put a real pineapple on our truck. So we got even and put Tennessee Vols things on his RV. Hey those Alabama Roll Tide things were burning my eyes. I had to give his RV some class now. Lol 😂😂. Your friends really pineappled you up good. 😂😂😂😂

We had the blue filter for a long time until we found Blutech. Now we are hooked on all their stuff, lol. We love how nice they look and the high quality of stainless steel. Dustin's such a water snob, so I was thrilled when we actually found something he loved 😆

The SS water hook up looks amazing!
Shaking on the road causes a lot of things to work lose. We have had to tighten the screws on our circuit breaker box.
It is crazy how much these things shake.
Oh gosh, good think Leslie is a clean freak (sorry), we wouldn't want Scout to find any glass. We are in Ca, so we have been able to see a few launches. The pineapples were too funny.

Yes, the 3 stage water filter is a must. I didn’t know about the EPA not sampling at a home just at the source. WOW.
Ya, we learned a lot more about that at the Tampa show this year- it was very interesting.

Hi Dustin and Leslie! Great video! Funny how Joel and Tanya scheme to put pine apples around your fifth wheel and truck. They are funny! I watch them too! They are funny! Dustin I hear you on the water. I don’t drink the water here myself. We have a filter. Yuck I don’t trust any water anywhere. I got sick once from the water here. I one time took my family across the bridge on the dam. And I saw young kids throwing stuff into the water. I was going to say something to them about we drink that water but I didn’t want to get thrown over board. I didn’t see anyone around at the time to tell. But ya I hear on that. I would the same with my Rv. Glad you saw the rocket launch. And you were able to get in the campground ok. Safe travels. Great video and see you both soon!

Glad you made it to Patrick! Hope you got a chance ti check out and eat at the Dining Facility. Not a bad deal. We have been there multiple times. Too bad you didn't score a waterfront site (BTW - that's not the Ocean, it's the Banana River). We didn't like the gates and distance to the RV Park inside the base, it's a bit of a pain getting around. Lots of cool places nearby.
We wish we would have gotten a better site. A lot of the waterfront sites were closed for renovations.
We did not eat at the dining facility but we'll keep that in mind for next time. I agree, it is a pain to get to the park from the gates. Not the best layout, lol. Would like to stay longer next time- 4 days was not enough.
@@WaywardWaggs Yep. Getting stuck in the back is definitely not good. During the off times (mid April through early November), there is very good availability. The Base has a Beach across the street that is really a cool spot to hang out. If you are ever camping in the summertime in Florida, check it out!
Hi guys. Doesn't taking unfiltered water from the campsite tap for making coffee kind of defeat the purpose of having all that filtration gear? Also, have you been noticing subscribers getting unsubscribed. I saw this when it came out but couldn't find you in my subscriptions this morning. Have a great day!
We're not concerned with the coffee water. We have one cup a day and it gets heated up, so it is kinda like it's boiled first. Water softners can ruin machines like coffee makers - we are on our 3rd one if that tells you anything. We are aware that many people are being unsubscribed and not knowing it. We actually talk about this in our upcoming video 😁
@@WaywardWaggs Thank you for the reply. Personally, I have several cups a day and use bottled water or water from a known reliable source for that. That system is interesting though pricey but I think I would forego water softening to not damage my espresso coffee maker. To each their own. Resubscribed and looking forward to your next video. Not sure if your an apple or an Android, but in video mode, we go to the more button and there's a director's mode option. That's what puts the picture box on there. You can move that box to other corners as well 😊

No we are not, this video was filmed 3 weeks ago. We are in North Carolina now 😊
Oh right I forgot. Be sure and visit the Outer Banks if you are near Nags Head. We took the free ferry to Ocracoke Island and camped at Oregon Inlet but now our Alliance is probably too big.

The only problem I have with the Blu Tech is rusting on the stainless steel connectors being so close to the ocean. FYI.
Ya, I don't know about that. Ours has been out in the elements for 3yrs with no issues, but not really near the ocean. They do have a bag for it now that will protect it.

How much was your stay each night?
At Patrick Spaceforce Base? If that's the one you're referring to, it was $40 a night.
Water question??? If you’re really concerned over the quality of the water, why are you making coffee using unfiltered water? That makes as much sense as turning yesterday’s socks inside out so you’re wearing the clean side.
I am curious also. I have been using soft water to make coffee in the same pot for almost 3 years.
Before using the softener a coffee maker would last about a year if you cleaned it regularly.
I use a single whole house filter and an On the Go softener.
Coffee water gets very hot- it's kinda like boiling. We wouldn't drink it right out of the tap though.
@@WaywardWaggs I get it. But still think it would be safer to put a wye downstream of the filter system to collect water for the coffee. Just my opinion. I’m not ragging on you by any means. Great content. We’ll definitely keep watching.
