Actually I have seen several that went from full-time to part time. KYD, Changing Lanes, Less Junk-More Journey, to name a few notables. I would say that statistically most of those who started fulltime RV'ing (YT Channels that is) slid back to part time. I mean all those that I mentioned spend a lot of time on the road still, but they went from living out of their RV full time, to having both sticks and bricks as well as an RV. Its okay though...nothing wrong with it. I love RV'ing and have been non-stop from the days as a young teenager with my parents in the early 70's to where I am today. RV'ing is a lifestyle but not my only lifestyle. I love to travel in my rig, but I love to go cruising, rent cabins, and just stay home.....I have several friends with RV's and we are out all the time but we also do other things to travel too.
Hey Dustin and Leslie. We had to stop fulltiming for a bit. We found an rv resort here in myrtle beach that has annual sites. $900/mo plus electric. It has a Waterpark, the whole 9 yards. I feel it puts tto to shame. Is there someplace like that near where you are going to be? Might be worth looking into. You would have the best of both worlds, stationary except when you want to go. I wish you guys all the best. Rembrandt you only have 18 summers with those grandbabies!!!
Plz don’t take this wrong. I am a 70 yr old grandma. My kids have their own lives and as my grandsons get older the whole family have their lives. I have made so many changes in my life to be closer to the grandkids and my kids but their lives keep moving on, in a different direction. Finally I realized to make decisions for myself because let’s say i move closer to them they could decide to move elsewhere. May not be your situation but they do have their own lives which doesn’t necessarily consider you. I still have a relationship with all of them but not making decisions regarding my life according to them anymore and it is such a relief. I’m not chasing anymore but enjoying every minute with them to the fullest. I am full time rving too.
They are never leaving Alabama- that's a fact. They are young and need our help, so we are going to help. Never going to watch my family struggle while we live it up on the road. We can always travel when things get better for them financially and don't need our help anymore. We're young enough to pause and come back 😊
My wife and I and 44 and 41 yrs old recently became empty testers as our youngest son, of 6 boys, moved out and on his own.. were going crazy with just the 2 of us in the house now, trying to figure out how to live for the 2 of us, we take our rv out and camp, etc.. we'd like to travel some, but having our kids and now 5 grandkids keeps us waiting around, we're not sure what to do with ourselves 🤷♂️😀.. we rented a camper van for a week to see if we like a van vs a travel trailer? Or use both.. idk..lol.. it's so wierd being in this situation, even though we planned this, having our kids young, now we're here and lost ..
You are going to love seeing that grand baby on a regular basis and you are gonna have great memories with her and your daughter. You won’t regret it. And, when she’s older and doing her own thing, you can always pick it up again. Love you guys! Appreciate your videos.

It’s a hard decision, we are down sizing are home buying land and moving us and the family closer together so we can all leave and return freely live on the same land so we can all help each other and still travel. We’ve been trying to sell some land to be able to achieve this dream and everything is in the air because nothing is confirmed so it makes us think it’s never going to happen and open up the door of doubt. We are in this holding period. 😫🤯 Are grandkids and daughter take numerous trips in the year with us so we will still be any-timer’s. But right now taking the summer off to get this all worked out is hard I feel your pain. 😢😢😢
I’m watching another family that just gave up RV life for a different path. We have been watching them renovate and furnish a house they purchased. It’s been so fun to stay with them! Hope you keep this channel going whatever you choose to do! Good luck to you!

You are making the right decision. Family is so important, and being a grandparent is the best part of life. We had 8 years of travel and used the rv to travel back and forth between VA and Enterprize, AL, where our grandchildren lived and still traveled out west. It was such a great life. While out west, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. We were forced to sell our truck and fifth wheel and find a place to rent while he received treatment. Had to buy all the furnishings again and buy a vehicle that was comfortable for him to ride in while going through treatment. Sadly, my husband passed away in March. It was a wonderful life and so glad we had that time on the road. Best of everything to you both.❤
We love and support you guys! And completely understand why you would want to take a break from travel and be home with your daughter and granddaughter. Those are precious years and you won't regret it. You two have been a amazing asset to the RV and the military community. God Bless you both.
We full timed for 5 years. Got to see the 48 contiguous states by RV and loved almost all of the time on the road. Then the grandkids came, and our focus changed. We downsized to a smaller RV to travel and love this life too. Fair winds and following seas!

Very sorry to see the end of this adventure. But we moved across the country to be with our grandchild and daughter and be there to support them as much as possible. Being a grandparent is the single greatest joy of our lives and we regret nothing. We also sold everything and had to start from scratch in our new home. I wish you the very best and so much happiness.
Congratulations on your new chapter. We know its been a tough decision and it will be an interesting transition back to a house, but what memories you’ll be able to build with your family.

Watching your expoditions has been so exciting, the MOST I'll miss are your thanks to veterans who've sacrificed their lives, your donations to veterans charities and you gathering with veterans with your charity events/work projects. We totally get it! Seasons of life, family, priorities, it all is constantly changing. We’ve loved RVing so long now that that’s why we chose a less expensive fixer and have been slowly working on that while we enjoy our travels too. You guys can always get another RV later and join all us part-timers! 😃 Relationships always come first, even over experiences, because if you have no one to experience all these things with then what’s it all worth? We have a 11 month old granddaughter, I love being able to be around her . . . especially at this age, because as she gets older she will get busier. There will be grief, because there is a loss of what you know . . . but these are also new beginnings that will also have great opportunities and adventures! Best wishes!!
Your video popped up in my feed and I watched and it was heartwarming in so many ways. A difficult decision but one made out of love so I suppport you. When I heard you were a soldier that supports Veterans, that is something I have done as well. The respect I have for our military is overwhelming so your service is appreciated and admired and I say thank you for your service. Both our grandsons LOVE going camping with us, sitting around the campfire, fishing, kayaking and building wonderful memories. 😅so sad, but happy for y’all we have 4 grandchildren and enjoy them very much. God puts us where he wants us to be, and I’m sure y’all will be fine. Don’t stop with the videos because of honoring the fallen veterans. We are in Southeast Georgia and would have loved to meet y’all still maybe one of theses days. Paving New Paths gave up full time with their 3 kids because of their RV frame problem and bought an abandoned house they are in the process of renovating. It’s been very interesting and I am glad they have taken us along in their new life path. Family always comes first! We go about 6 weeks thru the spring to fall and that’s enough camping for us. Good luck to you guys and keep us updated!
We understand the family dynamic. Gina and I came off the road after 2 years due to family. We found a beautiful home in the north Georgia mountains and love it. Sounds like you guys may not be too far from us. Maybe we can meet up on day. Good luck with the new venture! J

When I was in the military my girl's didn't see their grandparents or other relatives often. Now we live near our girls and our grandson lives five minutes down the road. We are going to miss you guys at the rallies, but we understand and support you guys. Thanks again for your service, and hope to see you guys down the road.

We totally get it! Seasons of life, family, priorities, it all is constantly changing. We’ve loved RVing so long now that that’s why we chose a less expensive fixer and have been slowly working on that while we enjoy our travels too. You guys can always get another RV later and join all us part-timers! 😃 Relationships always come first, even over experiences, because if you have no one to experience all these things with then what’s it all worth? You’re doing the right thing. And you have a big enough audience now, your channel will continue to do well, even if the video topics bump outside of the RV niche a bit. We have a 11 month old granddaughter, I love being able to be around her . . . especially at this age, because as she gets older she will get busier. When I heard you were a soldier that supports Veterans, that is something I have done as well. That is just awesome! Super happy for the both of you! I hope that as Harper gets older that you do get another camper so you can share the love of camping with her. Both our grandsons LOVE going camping with us, sitting around the campfire, fishing, kayaking and building wonderful memories. Barb and I are saddened by the news. We also know family comes first. We enjoyed our couple of meetups. We hope that you guys were able to keep your channel because we definitely enjoy it. Paving New Paths gave up full time with their 3 kids because of their RV frame problem and bought an abandoned house they are in the process of renovating. It’s been very interesting and I am glad they have taken us along in their new life path. Family always comes first! We go about 6 weeks thru the spring to fall and that’s enough camping for us. Congratulations! I can’t imagine how hard this decision was. However, when I heard about the baby I wondered if you wouldn’t be. Grand babies are so very special. It’s a pull on your heart strings like no other. Biggest surprise, 4 bedrooms. Wow! Now that’s a drastic change. Leslie you can really get your clean on :).
It is a small 4 bedroom. Much smaller than our last house that was 4 bedroom. The yard work is going to suck though. 😑

When I was in the military my girl's didn't see their grandparents or other relatives often. Now we live near our girls and our grandson lives five minutes down the road.
