I work for a steel mill. Our company buys us fruit to keep us hydrated. Something I don't think many people know about is fruit is a great way to stay hydrated.
One thing I can’t imagine doing is getting a huge RV am with all the stuff and going to a camp ground. Right next to a bunch of other people. Camping to me is boon docking. Not pulling into a park with a million other people and having thousands of people around. Camping Is camping with not much more than a tent! Why would you “camp” with the whole house with you? I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. But moving a house around is not my thing. Ok it’s just me. A van is my idea of a great camp trip!
@@gracieg7601 Husband and I have a large Motorcoach, a full size Conversion Van and a 20ft Airstream bumper-pull. All are very different with different functions and needs but all have their respective niches. Tents, yes, still tent camp too! We love doing it all and everyone has to camp their own style of camping --- large or small, motorized or non motorized. It's more about getting away from it all and enjoying whatever you "camp" in.
I watch every single one of your videos, and one of my FAVORITE things about them is the unique ‘voices’ that Ben puts to the animal kingdom! 😂😂😂😂. Cracks me up! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dunedin has the BEST hidden gems. We live on the Clearwater / Dunedin line and get the best of all worlds. We tend to hit the Dunedin Causeway or Honeymoon Island vs Clw Beach just because of parking and crowds. Glad you enjoyed!!
My RV (Van) was stolen earlier this month so my vanlife has come to a grinding halt. I'm so depressed and will be setting up a gofundme. Your family has kept my spirits up and wanting to get back on the road. 😢
The next time you are in Clearwater, you must go to Dairy Kurl at 1555 Gulf to Bay Blvd. They are the cities oldest Ice Cream Shop established in 1953.
Lol, sometimes the best solution, is the last solution. It's like the old adage, If I had look for my key in the LAST place, I would have saved a lot of time looking for them. Just do it! Love you guys.
11:50 It's vacant 😊 There would be a flat "door" on the snail's foot, covering the entrance if it's still a snail. You would see the crabs' toes peeking around the bend. They have to be big enough to move the shell. I did find a baby octopus 🐙 in a large abandoned conch 🐚 in the keys. Ya never know.
Good video. I like the idea of looking at the combined probability of failure. I think the fear is what we can't control...and thus over focusing on what we can. No matter how well we care for ourselves...we will die and possibly very sick as well. No one wants to deal with money problems...especially when your sick.
You were literally in our backyard!!! We absolutely love Honeymoon island. We usually play on the causeway just prior to the state park. Just for your knowledge, there is a campground within 2 miles of the park…. I have a few hidden gems that we can share in the area, if you want. We do live in a beautiful area!!! Do not share all our secret spots…we need some tranquility from snowbirds and tourists. 😂😂
I lived in Panama City for over 40 years. You have to be careful of sharks around the piers because they are fishing and baiting for them on the piers. Also jellyfish can be bad at times because they can sting you. Otherwise it’s a beautiful beach.
I was in Panama City in the 80s before all the commercial stuff was there. Not sure I want to go there now, but I here Navarre beach is nice.Heading down there soon, by way of South Dakota
Catching up on videos I missed recently while I was camping with a group of New Englander friends in the U.S. How long are the kids in camp? Safe travels, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
We have just started towing a toad and that is what I think about getting stuck somewhere and needing to back up, has happened to us with the motorhome on the ferry boat but not towing so was not to bad 😅
40$ for parking is cheap. In Seattle, it ran us 75$! All we did was visit an Italian restaurant too. For just 1 night in San Francisco we had to pay 60! La Jolla was 50$. Unfortunately, if you want to visit certain areas...it costs. And we ask about every discount there is from Military to Senior discounts.
We used to go to Clearwater every summer, before it was Commercialized and ruined with huge sky scraper hotels!!! It used to have quaint little motels and little shops!!! NOT anymore😢😢😢
Best is yet to come if it hasn't already...grandchildren. We have been empty nesters (3 boys) for 23 years. Our first granddaughter just turned 20, grandson is 18, then 14 and 12: 3 girls, 1 boy.
Yeahhhh .. gotta watch taking the empty shells, crabs need to change shells and they are having a hard time finding new and are using plastic caps and things when they cant find one .. sad😥
Hey guys, we live in central Alberta and would like to spend a couple weeks in the US in August and was hoping you could provide us some good places to stay. We would prefer to stay for about 10 days with a couple days travel each way. We have a 37’ motorhome and it’s my wife and I (mid 50s). Would prefer water with lots to do…thank you in advance. Phyl
Doesn’t Alaska get hot in the R.V or do you leave the air conditioner on for him. I’m sure you do. Love the voice you give him. I think here in the U.K the most electric we get on our campsites is 16 volts.
Lets see if I guessed it...HONEYMOON ISLAND! (I'm @ 8:20min mark) We live close & I believe thats your lil spot since you're in Clearwater area. Now that Clearwater Beach has added the several Xtra bougie Hotels & no suitable public parking...everyone & their Uncle have found this lil hidden gem. It is a stunning Beach!
Had to stop the video, please more information on the ess. We have a similar setup with the rv parked next to the house. We turn off the batteries and solar when it sits. Would be great to harness the power to the house.
How long have you had your paddle boards? How often do you use them. We are also part-time RV's. Would you buy them again. Price level under or over $250.00?
Is the power you send to the house going into the grid if you're not using it all? If so, does the power company know? Its a potential risk to line workers in a piwer outage. Just saying.
It doesn’t go back to the grid, just helps off set the house energy, we also ordered a different meter that will allow it to go back to the grid if there is excess so the power company will be aware.
Hey don’t be in a hurry to be an empty nester. I have been an empty nester for quite a few years. Some time it is great, but I miss having tile kids around. I miss my baby girl she was thirty two years old when she passed away. She died of a brain aneurysm on January 28 2013. God I miss her. She was wonderful. And beautiful. So don’t be in a hurry for the kids to leave home yet. Enjoy them while you can. And hug and kiss them all the time I miss doing that with my kids. Yes it’s hard but I will get through the emptiness.
I love how you all put your feet all over Alaska at the dining table! Poor guy just want some bacon! .... And the kids are gone!! I bet he loves the AC!
Hi, fellow Floridiot here. You guys seem very knowledgeable about RVs and their systems. I have a question that I haven't been able to get a clear answer for. There has been a couple of times in the past year that I've had my RV where I went to go have my propane tank filled. Today I went and they were only able to put 4 lbs in a ten pound tank. The gauge said it was only about 60% full. The guy that filled the tank didn't speak very clear English, but what I got out of it...and the first time I had the tank filled...was that I had too much air in the tank and I needed to purge it. Evidently this is too time consuming a process to be done while the tank was being filled and from what I could interpret from the gentleman's broken English was that I needed to just open the purge valve and let it hiss until the white mist comes out like it did when he purged the fill line he connected to my tank. He suggested that I bleed it for about five minutes a day until the air was out. On the other hand, logic tells me that if the liquid level is below the purge valve that as the pressure drops the liquid propane will just evaporate and I'll just be dumping good propane overboard. I don't think the guy was lying to me, but I just can't find any concrete procedure spelled out on how to do it. So my question is, did I properly understand what the guy was telling me? Will it spay white mist once the air is out? If not how can I purge the air so I can get the tank FULL on the gauge (which takes into account that 80% is considered FULL). Honestly, I should really get one of those T-valves that will allow me to hook up an external tank to the RV so I don't have to decamp to go get my LP tank filled, but I still need to know how to purge the Onboard tank.
Have to ask, what is this favorite place in Clearwater? Were going to High Springs later this week, not with RV, and first time in Florida. Would love to know some hidden gems to explore.
We parked at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Parking Lot a couple of weeks ago when we camped in Pescadero and we ended up paying $60 because they said we had an "oversized" vehicle.

How do you keep track of the diesel going in the motorhome so you don’t have overflow coming out?
2:00 DANGER! If you push power back onto the grid you risk hurting or killing anyone who believes that the line has been de-energized.
