Cheers Shaun👍🏻 I've never tried to grow alpines from cuttings. Do they take easily?

@@PhillWyattProjects Hi Phill, Saxafrega I think that's how you spell it, They take no problem and when they grow you can split them

Yea so does my dad Steve he hates Ivy in his garden. I do think it's nice indoors in a pot where it can't spread.

@@PhillWyattProjects Yes if you keep it under control in a pot then it is an interesting plant.

That's a good point. I've been meaning to make a plant stand for ages just haven't got round to it yet although it's on my to-do list. 👍🏻

That's a good question. My dad hates ivy. It's always growing all over his fence he complains about it often 😆. Apart from hacking it back with garden tools I don't know of any other way of getting rid of it apart from digging it out from the roots although that can be very difficult.

This does happen. I have experienced this also. Never sure why although no cuttings have 100 percent success rate. I would try again. Sometimes the conditions are just rite, sometimes it doesn't wok out.
