The most advanced tank of the T90 family, not to be confused with the T90SM. The family development was going like this:
Introduction:
*T90 "Vladimir"* entered service in 1992, for Russia.
Merging of the (Obj. 187 and 188):
*T90S "Bhishma"* entered service 2001 for India.
*T90A* entered service 2005, for Russia.
*T90S* entered service in 2008 used by: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, India, Vietnam, Syria, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Russia.
*T90SA* entered service in 2008, for Algeria.
"Proryv" program:
- Started in 2004 "Proryv 1" merged into "Proryv 2"
- First presented prototype of "Proryv 2" 2009 then it went on trial testing in 2011
*T90AM "Tagil"* "Proryv 2" trial production
*T90SM* trial production
- "Proryv 3" program started in 2015 (to replace western parts, fully domesticated production).
*T90M "Proryv"* for Russia (Proryv 3) *entered service 2020*
*T90MS* - The best and the most advanced tank in the series for everyone, advanced export version of the *T90M* .
There are also respective "K" designation versions of each tank which just stands for "Commander tank".

Т-14 - это особый резерв верховного главнокомандующего. Он дороже Т-90. Так что Т-90, как и Т-80, никуда не денется.
А вот посмотрим. Если заменить эту грёбанную ходовую часть и дать 90кам нормальную скорость заднего хода, хотя бы 20км/ч как у 80БВМ, то эта машина вполне сможет постоять на вооружении страны ещё 20 с лишним лет.
Я люблю 80-ки, но 90-ки всё таки больше пригодны к массовой эксплуатации в нынешных боях.

А пока и т90 т 80 и т72м3, нормальные модификации, и белорусская модификация т72 великолепная. Армии на данный момент поважнее и другое.

Американский "Абрамс" больше не выпускается, а только модернизируется; английский "челленджер" не производится - цеха снесены, оборудование разворовано, компетенции утрачены. "меркава" - слепой танк, его жгут тапочники без особых проблем; "леопард" на Украине себя никак не показал. Позорище.
Остаются южнокорейские танки, но под определение" западных" они не попадают.

У Украины его нету потому что у Украины нету американской авиации и всего спектра ПВО. Даже если считать что су57 на том же уровне что f35 - у Америки их в 45 раз больше. Сверху добавь 186 f22. Я даже не вижу смысла обсуждать почему амеры не считают су57 пятым поколением. Амеры отправляют ошмётки - то что уже пора списывать. Они даже задаунгрейдили абрамсы перед отправкой. Джавелину блин 30+ лет (28 лет в сервисе)
Касательно Афганистана - байдену нужно было что-то показать к 11 сентября. Есть ещё мнение что они специально оставили оружие чтобы расшатать обстановку там. Я лично думаю что это комбинация двух или некомпетенция администрации байдена. Не забывай что амеры спокойно удерживали Афган имея лишь 2.5к контингента и они ушли оттуда без потерь среди военных. Да выглядело отступление херовенько так как афганское правительство тупо сбежало. Хотя сливом Америки, я это не могу назвать даже с натяжкой

Need to cover the engine upper radiator or fans etc which might expose explosions or damages because ATGM nowadays exploded above or below the engine area which may cause total lost for the MBT operation.
It is not possible to cover up everything because engine power to move that mass of armor and equipment is limited. It is necessary to balance countermeasures against various threats.
@@reaglebeaglier There is no flaw. It is the most cost efficient design possible. Another design is T-14 using robotics to broader extent, allowing crew separation from ammunition; but that is more expensive. Western designs in fact do not allow crew separation from ammunition because they store ammunition in crew compartments and anti-blast doors cannot be closed to allow higher rate of fire. War on 6-th priority of generalized means of control is dangerous for everybody.
Then the engine will overheat even more in hot conditions

hey if its a T-90MS then, what happened to the twin barrel auto-canon on the side of the main gun turret? Its that main feature that differentiates the T-90MS from the T-90M. It fires explosive ammo the size of a fist and the gun can vertically up. It makes it great for shooting down helicopters and drones, but the main purpose if for fighting in cities when the enemy is directly above you on very tall buildings and your little machine gun is too weak to penetrate the fortifications like sandbags and such.

Is a good tank, but it has issues that should be rectified.
First is the reverse speed inherited from the T-72, at 4 Km/h it’s simply too slow, if the T-80 could see its reverse speed increased in the latest 2023 model so should the T-90.
Second is increased side protection, although that one can easily be addressed by adding ERA blocks of 4S22.
Third is the carousel autoloader, despite it been reinforced with some armor it will still blow up if directly hit. There’s another however equally important reason why the carousel should be replaced and that is because it has reached the limits in terms of projectile dimensions it can accommodate which puts the T-90 at a disadvantage compared to western tanks. The solution for both issues is a bustle autoloader like the one of the Black Eagle Prototype and the Burlak turret. Poland has already demonstrated it can be done in a T-72 platform with their PT-17.
Last is the need for hard kill APS either Arena-M or Afghanit along with anti-drone EW.
It has 15 km/h reverse speed.

3BM42M, 3BM59 and 3BM60 APFSDS are as capable as western counterpats, combatible with T-72B3 (all sub-variants), T-80BVM, T-90A and T-90M auto-loaders. Also auto-loader is indeed deadly if hit, but it's in the safest part of the tank, behind thick armor and massive ERA coverage. Ammo bustle in the turret is easily hit and pierced by practically any weapon and once it begins to burn, crew has to abandon tank either way, as the tanks loses all his firepower and catches fire over the engine compartment. Leaving the battlefield on foot put you at risk of mines, drone attacks and artillery fire, so it's marginally safer.

Why do i say that? because the russians have been putting ERA blocks on the back of their tanks and restarting the production of the T-80, one of the only tanks that doesn`t have a 4km/h reverse speed, claiming that it has been the most efficient tank in Ukraine. they have already adressed this issue for almost all of their tanks, just not in a effective way(who would`ve guessed!).
"it is enough!" NO! IT ISNT! the russians have started increasing the protection of their tanks with cope cages and bigger ERA blocks on the sides, sacrificing the tank weight in the process, proving that if it was enough such upgrades wouldn't be needed.

1)The west has sucessfully created autoloaders for several times now. The german autoloader for the MBT-70 was reliable, the french bustle autoloaders are reliable, the japanese and korean bustle autoloaders are reliable, the Stryker MGS autoloader is reliable, the HSTV-L carousel autoloader was reliable, the new german KF-51 will be featuring a bustle autoloader, the new french EMBT will also be featuring a bustle autoloader, the merkava 4 features a semi-automatic cylinder style autoloader.
And those are the only ones i know, since there are problably a lot of lighter vechicles that features an autoloader that i'm not aware of. But have you also realized something here? almost all of these tanks don`t have a carousel autoloader like the russian ones! do you wanna know why? beucase they are a danger of cathastrophic explosion! something VERY VERY bad! and to prevent that for happening, the westerners install a little thing called "blowout panels" on their tanks, which is very easy and very possible to do on their bustle autoloaders! but do you see the russians doing the same? NO! why? because they CAN'T! DON'T care! and will NEVER care! because this is the russian doctrine! throw as many cheap things as you can, and hope that the enemy will eventually run out of ammo! And before you say anything, the chinese, which has been using carousel autoloaders for 50 years, installed a bustle autoloader on their latest ZTQ-15. So yes, carousel autoloaders are an issue.
2)The West never needed an autoloader to begin with, so there was no reason to make such drastic change over something that wasn't broken. Moreover, having 4 crew tanks also have some advantages when compared to autoloader tanks, one more crew member means more manpower to do tank maintanance, a extra set of eyes to help spot targets when the tank isn't engaged, and the capabillity to increase the tank fire rate when needed, but since almost all of the west is starting to employ autoloaders on their mbts, i will have to give them a point for proving to be the future of tank warfare.

Arena-M or Afghanit is not suitable for the T-90 tanks." if the T-90 isn't compatible with a APS hard-kill system, than it's not suited for modern warfare! it's as simple as that! By the way, the russians should be the ones investing the most in new APS hard-kill systems to implement on their tanks, since it can increase the tank protection against any armament, while decreasing the tanks weight by several tons, of course they don't do that! as that would cost money, a thing the russians don't have! and because they also don't care about the wellbeing of their tank crews.

It's 2023 you need to work on integration of drone surveillance with tank to aid targeting and awareness for the crews. Each crew member should have aditional small screen to watch video feed from drones and commander should have big screen with all kinds of options for controling multiple drones or taking video feed from other tanks and drones. Also drone integrated with tank should be made to be imune to ew jamming if possible. After almost 2 years of very intense fighting i still see alot of videos of Russian tank crews lacking proper awareness when they go on attack and often get hit from ambush from the position that should have been checked before tanks were sent in. All the best and i hope you will manage to come up with solutions to deal with current threats and improve ISR coordination with tanks before next conflict.
For tank commander it is enough to automatically receive coordinates of a target along with a mark on targeting display and topology map - to decide about target priority. Drone footage is for drone operator.
@@TheRVSN Drone footage can save your life and help find the targets near by. Nothing can replace top view of battlefield. Not being ambushed from another side of tree line by t64 that is only 20 meters away is good for health.
That is precisely why you MUST have infantry support with the tanks no matter where you go. Leave the drone work to the infantry. Infantry can eliminate threats and/or call out co-ordinates for the tanks to fire on to destroy threats.

Also half of those "confirmed losses" can not be recognized or verified due to poor quality of the video. So actual confirmed losses would be like 10 or 20 T90M tanks. Which is like 10 to 5 times less of what he had claimed. Which is not alot at all.

I believe all modern tanks and armoured vehicles now should be equipped with anti-drone capability of some sort.

Amazing how effective T-72 design still relevant to this day. After saw merkava being toasted with RPG, can assume others MBT probably whould have same flaw aswell with more expensive & flex.
Challenger 2 took 27 RPG hits & survived, including several from RPG-21 tandem warheads.
