this is the evolution of the sequence where ariel's voice is taken away by ursula at the end of poor unfortunate souls, but with the 1989 animated version! from concept art going back to 1986, to workprints in 1988, to the final film in 1989!

There was not enough ethereal effects to ariels voice being ripped out of her in the live action remake. It didn't feel as haunting.

The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie of all time and this is my favorite scene.🥰❤️💖💕💗🧜🏻‍♀️ It's amazing to see the evolution between the very early stages of animation to the final film.
