      Why does the sulfur from DMS attack an oxygen with one of its lone pairs? Don’t all the 3 oxygens have the electron pairs needed?

    Would reacting an alkene with O3 followed by cleavage of the resulting ozonide using Zn + H2O be reducing or oxidising?

Actually I studied from a renowned book ( I can't write its name) that the reaction can be carried out with water vapors in presence of zinc dust..... Can you please help me about this.......?..... What is use of zinc dust..... Sorry but you have not mentioned it in the video.... It's an outside question....... Please help me mam......

    why does the negative charge oxygen reach out to the carbon double bond and not the other oxygen...

      negative = more 'angry' and unstable and so = more likely to attack

    Correction: Secondary alkenes form ketones.

      Well, only if that secondary alkene is di-substituted on the same side of the double bond. The double bond will be cleaved in ozonolysis and, to get a ketone, we would need two substituents on the same side of that bond.
