How cool is that thing?! Now, THAT is a tool that my dad and I needed back in 2018 when we had to remove three bent axles from his car hauling trailer. The trailer alone weighed more than two tons, and I was grinding away old welds from the broken leaf spring mounts for several days.

I've been watching this channel for several years now and enjoy tremendously. However, this trailer build might be the most fascinating series yet (yes, even better than the two ginormous bandsaw builds). I keep seeing you add more and more heavy chunks of steel to it and I am reminded of a movie from forty or so years ago. So imagine me standing in your backyard astonished at all that steel as I mutter "your're gonna need a bigger truck".

Which, I watch this video, and I chuckle.... Sure, a 3500 series 4x4 truck, a big custom made trailer, winches, chains, straps, gear.... Yeah, after you unload 60k from your wallet, yeah, I guess you can go get "free" logs.... Not sure "free" is the right word there.....

Great job on the trailer. Just a thought on that light bar channel. 1/4 inch or more tends to be too thick for pop in lights with grommets.

Thanks! The light bar channel has a web thickness of about 1/8”

I like the extra things you do with storage and winch supports. You know you could share some of that snow.

Matt, you really know how to make a log roll. Very we thought out plan on this trailer build. Getting close to done. I have a trailer that I bought for 650.00 14 years ago. I have made it solid floor and 4 foot high sides that i set up to have a fixed tarp much like a side kit on a flat bed semi. Us truck drivers carry everything to the house. Its painted black but my wife calls it the golden chariot. Your wife talking of the price of tires made me think of my wife's name for our trailer.

Trailer looks great. Think the winch plate is a little under engineered but the project as a whole is well done

Nice and heavy trailer. I think I would have put a straight axle in instead of a drop axle but that's my opinion 👍, good job.

Love your work!!! Thank you for showing me which accessories NOT to use to grease wheel bearings! I have yet to find any accessory that beats pushing a palm full of WBG into a bearing 'til it's FULL!!!

Matthew. Please take the wheels and drums off and grease the bearing correctly. You grease tool is made for one bearing not two stacked. If you look at your video, there is no grease in the rollers. Yes, they will eventually get the grease, but you run the risk of damaging the bearing and the races in the process. Love your channel and I offer this for your assistance. I have run serious boat and equipment trailers all my life and I know you don't need this avoidable problem. But the project is great!!
