Why do people keep saying this is a gutted reskin of Attila when there are very clearly new mechanics? And this is the first time I've ever seen the series capture the feel of actual Viking behaviour.
gedLi True. But there's nothing wrong with that. Attila used Rome 2 engine and was basically the same game with only a few new mechanics and no new graphics. Still Attila is a well liked and often played game and deservedly so. So I just can't understand, why TW:ToB gets so much hate all over the fanbase...
Bruh dyflin was one of the funnest campaigns I’ve ever played but yeah they are kinda OP I was simply at war with all of Ireland because mide vassalized everyone and still took it over it was intense though I think the campaign would also be difficult if you have a hard time managing multiple wars with few armies so beware of that when you decide to play as Dylfin
Spoiler alert: If you choose to go "North" as I did with the Dyflin faction, you will discover Iceland and have the choice to settle it. No Greenland or Vinland though....
They had the option with Alba... the prehistoric Scotland... and instead threw a mythical placeholder as a playable faction. Just like the fucked up Kingdom of the Isles by grouping Mann with Dublin; and made a mythical Outer Hebrides playable faction. Take 2 steps outside proper England in this game and it's more fantasy than Warhammer.
Not sure having two bars that passively fill up from playing the game and a pretty simple slave system counts as Europa Universalis-level campaign depth, mate...
@@HForHavoc Great UA-cam video and channel, but I found the background music a little too loud and distracting. I would strongly suggest you get rid of it altogether. I firmly believe that background music is distracting, annoying, and unnecessary (especially for educational or opinionated videos with lots of talking). I also believe that people want to hear you speak/get information/hear your opinions and not hear generic background music that doesn't really add anything useful and that people have to mentally filter out. Plus it will be one less thing you will have to do when making videos. Thank you.
Great series explaining the different faction breakdowns, can't wait to play. Think I'm going to go for Sudreya for my first play through.
*watches this video first on your channel*
"Alright that wraps up all the factions in thrones of britania"
*me* : oh.

MarinaFan game used attila engine and code. So technically Atilla 2.0.

thank you so much for these videos, very well made. I would say some of the bests on the topic I could find :)
Sooth-roy-are - Suðreyjar
Sudreyar and Dyflin sound like good raiding and seafaring factions. Reminds me of Norsca in TW Warhammer. Hyped!

4:22 Why can't we go west?
I mean Vikings did have colonies in Iceland and Greenland
Probably saved for DLC.

What is the music on 03:00 ?
And HForHavoc What is your current closing music in the end of your videos currently? I love that music! So epic.
ua-cam.com/video/Y_U5mi7qRbw/v-deo.html at 00:59s (The Last Kingdom) TV series
Not sure about the 3:00 but the music at the end sounds a lot like Eivør.
Search for "Trollabundin".
I like this game a lot
I wonder if they will add any scottish kings(large tribes).

Suderyar are the threat from the far North.
What about the Normans?
They didn't show up on the Brittania scene until 1066
DLC
I think they will be one of the possible endgame invasions.

Never said that. I said for those more inclined to balancing several of these factors, this was the faction for you
