It was nice to hear Dick be so complimentary of Sarah, and her rotations were full on the first 3-3 and the first 3 of the 2nd 3-3. And it was a total heads up to everyone else what was on the horizon. Sarah always got mad when she made a mistake and/or felt underscored, and that fighting spirit landed her gold in 2002.

Keep in mind under 6.0 underrotations were not scored correctly and weren't that big a deal to the judges which people constantly forget. If they were Surya Bonaly probably wouldn't have a single world medal let alone 3 silvers and 5 European titles.
Don t understand irina was crying again!! Michele s performance was far away better technicly and of course artisticly! She was boring to criticize each time che lost!! And to me she did not deserve the silver!!!

The judges had to place Irina 2nd. If they placed Maria 2nd in the long she would have won even with her mistakes and Michele's outstanding skate due to the short program and Q round results. So Irina really had to be placed 2nd in the long.

I miss 6.0s and spirals, but I don’t miss that crazy placement system.
