Kira’s downfall is like so many serial killers before him, he gets a taste of the notoriety and prestige of his work being known and ultimately reveling in it causes him to just straight up give away his whole identity like a goober. On that note I think he really did have some affection for Hayato before the end, maybe he saw their cat and mouse game as a twisted kind of bond that would eventually turn Hayato into his accomplice or eternal rival.
Its weird how with all these Villains like DIO, Pucci and Kars with these nuanced god complexes, the most unapologetically evil character is just a killer who inexcusably indulges in his twisted desires
Tooru is easily the most misunderstood and complicated villain motivation wise in my opinion, mostly due to his limited appearances in Jojolion. His initial goal of building massive wealth with the Rokakaka via offering effectively immortality at a price sounds basic but understandable. But then his outlook on memories and legacy, control, and lasting influence start to become apparent, and it's clear that he has a much greater desire in mind, as well as putting his species above humanity, and himself above them. I think it's his belief on "how" he should do this is his most interesting aspect as it's one that needs a little reading between the lines and free thinking to understand, but his plan to make humanity subserviant, not through sheer power, domination, and fear, but through willing submission for the gift of equivalent exchange, makes it clear that he wants the subserviance of humanity to long outlast even himself. Simply put, a nation, people, race, or species will always rebel or attempt to rise up if it is overthrown forcefully; but one that willingly shackles itself into submission will never break away from that fate, which Tooru clearly understands as seen through his belief of memories and legacies. That's just my take but I've honestly come to appreciate and respect Tooru and what Araki was going for with him ever since his reveal as the villain and his defeat, and I like him more and more as time progresses
@yaboisnugg4171 Thanks for saying that 😃 I totally agree that he's a super underrated villain. Hopefully an eventual anime or some other exposure will help promote that
I think to get a better idea of Tooru, The Wonder of U, and his goal and motivations, you have to look at the other Rock Humans and their own way of living. They instinctually climb the ranks of human hierarchy similarly to what they do to when they are first born. They are in contrast to humans, a cold self centered being with the drive to have a monopoly over ones life. Think back to Tamaki Damo, the guy with his laundry mat place who was roped into the distribution of the Hosptial's Rock Human Hierarchy. Though they work together like a colony of insects, they are very selfish and very narcissistic. Only ever wanting to live their own life. Similarly to Kira on how he wants a peaceful life, the Rock Humans just live and reproduce the only way they know how to by instinct. Araki really made the Rock Humans have a connection with Insects as well as Rock Insects showing that they as a Silcon based life-form are more of that of an Insect than Human, Tho they can "Love" they can't bond as much like a human(Also worth noting, only female Rock Humans are able to reproduce with Male humans, Male Rock Humans are incapable of reproducing with Female humans). I believe the stand "Wonder of U" reflects that of wanting to keep things as things are, by pursuing them, you are disrupting their very nature and thus calamity will fall upon them. I view it as a Checks and Balance system with Tooru and the other Rock Humans and insects. The story is also about breaking a curse, the curse that the Rokakaka brought to the Rock Humans and Humans of Morioh, Tooru Makes sense as the "Final Boss" as a way to show them somewhat overcoming Calamity, though of course no one can truly overcome calamity as Wonder of U persist even after Tooru's death as Wonder of U was just an ability to manipulate a force that was already in place. It's just my interpretation on the story and the "main" antagonists of Part 8. So don't believe my take is absolute.
Dio - I want Power Kars - I want to become ultimate life form Diavolo - I am an introvert Kira - Hands amm Funny Valentine - I want to grow America Pucci - I want to reach Heaven They all have such a different Ideal in every part
Dio: god complexes and victim mentality at its worst. But it doesn't help the fact that he is a born sociopath. Kars: tried to do right by his people and they all turned on him. So all he had left was his dream of becoming perfect. Kira: A perverted murderer who wants to keep up appearances to get away with whatever he wants. Like dr.jeckle and Mr hyde. Diavalo: born from Silk op's trauma he wants be in control of everyone and everything while staying untraceable. Pucci: messiah complex at its finest thinking he knows better than everyone else and the ends justify means. But as the old saying goes the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Valentine: same as pucci basically. Thinking what he was doing is in everyone's best interest. No matter how it gets done. Toru: the duality between him and gappy/kira/josefumi is nice. Both torn and josefumi were abandoned by their moms for death but lived. But in the end toru only cared for himself because victim mentality.
Part 3 DIO is different from Part 1 because of "how" he wanted to rule the world changed. Part 1 Dio wanted learn/ flaunt his abilites while Part 3 DIO only cared about his pursuit of mastery over Jonathan's body for total dominion of the planet.
I personally think that Pucci was severely manipulated by DIO. Pucci being from Italian decent and finding a man that healed his foot in a church and is named DIO, which is GOD in Italian, would definitely confuse him. DIO showing Pucci a whole new world of power and things that would seem to only be able to be done by some sort of divine energy. DIO even explaining his plan as "heaven" would further cement this mindset and due to having just had both his brother and sister killed, he was at a very unstable place emotionally at the time.
I feel like Kars, at some point in the past, had to double down on his quest for perfection. After eliminating the very people he was trying to uplift there would have had to be a moment where he realized that not going through with his plan would make the genocide of his people pointless. Obviously the character we see shows no remorse for his actions and is single mindedly pursuing his goals, but he's also thousands of years old. That's plenty of time to go from a possibly conflicted scientist and tragic figure to the Kars we know.
There are so many layers to kars. I’ve noticed that his behaviors during the entirety of battle tendency come from a lack of self confidence. Coming from ancient times, the pillarmen did everything they could to survive, even if it meant having to kill or sacrifice. None of us know what kars’s life was when he was younger, but I presume something had triggered him to become this obsessed with becoming “perfect”. When his insecurity started, it grew into ambition. He wanted to do something grand, to do something big, to help his kind. Maybe to finally feel satisfied within himself, and possibly even feel like he was worth something surrounded by people only caring and living for themselves. it isn’t normal for someone to be that way. The pillarmen eventually got tired of him and his “reckless” experiments and his behavior. Instead of being patient and actually doing something about the stuff he’s been doing, they just resort to violence. It’s in their nature ig🤷♀️ and when that happens, It’s kars’s breaking point. After years and years of trying to help his people, THIS is how they respond. Out of frustration, anger, sadness, and impulsivity, he and Esidisi, the only one on his side, kill the pillarmen. Kars has a major problem with confidence and security. He wants to be PERFECT. he wants to be everything and be the most powerful. I don’t think he has a god complex, I just think he only wants this to feel good about himself. To forget about the past, to just brush it all away. He doesn’t know how to deal with himself properly. Most gifted people actually have a HUGE problem with this. Saying this as one myself. And for esidisi, wamuu, and Santana, I’m sure he did care about them. And didn’t want them to meet their demise. Kars became more unhinged the more he lost important people/assets In battle tendency. I totally agree what you’re talking about btw
I think you really missrepresent Dio from part 3 and 6 (no they're not different characters no its not a retcoon). He explicitely says peace of mind is his goal, being the strongest means no fear, having control over fate means rewriting the universe as he wishes. Thats totally different from part 1 Dio, there are similarities but his goals developed over the years. And the difference between him and pucci is that he wants to have control over fate while pucci wants to make humanity aware of fate, same plan and beliefs, different motivation and goals
I think what most of them want is to achieve a form of tranquility. Of course when I say that, the first character that comes in mind in Kira because he aspires a quiet life where he could get away with his kink and murders. Then we have both DIO and Pucci, they want to achieve Heaven so they can reach the ideal of happiness Dio has : a life were there is no trouble, no suffering, because you know exactly what fate has for you; although DIO will only be tranquil once all Joestar's are dead and buried. Kars initially wanted his race to grow as the ultimate and perfect life forms, one with no flaws, no fear of the sun and one that could prosper for eternity. Diavolo wanted to escape from his fate and completely erase a past that, as we can imagine, traumatized him and truly obsesses him so he could finally live at peace. Valentine wanted his country to be heaven n Earth, of place off prosperity and good fortune, a nation admired by the rest of the World and where every individual would live a peaceful and/or successful life. Finally, Tooru, through his stand, is able to direct the flow of calamity against others while not being affected by it so I could get away with his long existence without any trouble what so ever, so I could live a life far from any problem and any misfortune because he is the one to control it, manipulating humans and reaching a high status in their society (to be fair, he was done too subtle for just how complex and interesting his themes and character were in my opinion). Yet their God complex, narcissism and overconfidence is what eventually led them to their demise once they had to face against the determination of the Joestar's. Of course this is all *my* interpretation and I think Kaleb did a fantastic already with this video !
I always wondered if they ever thought about the consequences of people knowing their own fate. I'd guess that most actions will be changed depending on this knowledge. If you know you're going to break your leg tomorrow, you'd try to mitigate this, thus changing the future. But since it's Jojo it's probably going to happen anyway in one way or another.

That's why I wouldn't be against getting flashbacks of him or events that were impacted by his doing in part 9 so his shadow could still be there even after his death (like DIO).
Tooru and the rock humans remind me of the story about the scorpion and the frog. Where the frog attempts to save the scorpion from drowning, but the scorpion stings the frog anyway. Since they were raised by wasp, they just seem reserved to the fact that they are social parasites destined to sting the people they feel affection towards. In their long life they probably have attempted to feel love, but it always implodes on them.

not quite. diavolo was still evil as hell. He killed the village that raised him. He wanted to kill her daughter to erase proof of his bloodline. He sure was minding his own business but people was getting hurt. Giorno's lead is way better as a boss. also he sold drugs even to minors...
@@Afraidofwomen killing the village was evil but that’s all. His life was more important then Trish (for example kill 1 homeless person to save the president situation) and he didn’t sell drugs to kids that was the people working under him that did that. He probably didn’t tell them to do that or he might not even know there doing it.
This video has made me wish that we saw Toru more in JoJolion as a whole: one huge criticism I have for part 8 is that the main villain comes out of complete thin air. I understand that adds mystery to him as a whole, but at the same time, he feels like he has zero personsonality and is just another Rock Human to remove. I prefer Jobin to Toru but Wonder of U is such an amazingly terrifying stand that it's hard to dislike him.
I honestly believe Dio part 3 and Dio part 6 *ARE TWO DIFFERENT BEINGS* which leads me to theorize this was NOT the first time the universe was reset. Dio part 3: very emotional, narcissist, not much philosophy, intimidating. Dio part 6: Stoic, philosopher, emotionally in control, charismatic. Some people argue that he was like that only with Pucci and then he was part 3 in front of everyone specially Jotaro, like having his vulnerable self with Pucci and then his "strongest shell" with the rest. This still doesn't make sense since people who do this think certain parts of them are weak, Dio was a NARCISSIST, he would have embrace what he was. Also secret behaviors behind doors does NOT explain he HUGE behavior differences. Only a situation like Diavolo doible personality would explain it. Or... Different universes that would also explain the DIFFERENCE tone of part 3 with all parts. What is all parts were born from a different universe reboot? That would explain why Jotaro part 3 looks so different from Jotaro 4, 5 and 6, tha same way as Qutaro looks so different to Jotaro 6.
Nah, DIO in part 3 also revels in being seen as some kind of intellectual. The anime didn't portray it much but originally he dabbled a lot in life philosophy, reading the Quran and stuff. He can be both, the stoic charismatic philosopher AND the selfish, emotional narcissist. We see a similar thing with Kira in DiU, although a lesser degree.
Tooru wanted the rock humans to be at the top of society using the locacaca as medicine. It's hard to understand first read but you can understand second read at least.
Dio(1),'s envy and greed: I want everything Jonathan has and more from the world. Kars' vanity: Race supremacy, supremacy and control. Dio(3), greed: To take and conquer the world by strength l. Kira's pleasure: just leave me alone to enjoy these beautiful hands. I'll do whatever it takes to be left alone. Diavolo's pleasure: I'll do whatever it takes so everyone leaves me alone in power of my mafia, I dont even care to expand internationally. Pucci: To create a new world with no sorrows, no matter what in this world to be erased.
jofoe motivations in a nutshell: dio p1: jojo money be mine kars: want sun and kill human dio p3: want kill joestar kira: want safety and kill women diavolo: want requiem and wealth pucci: want heaven funny valentine: want to dictate usa tooru: want plant

@@kingtiger5040 there also the speach about memories and other moments where you can see there is more to him than meets the eye. I think he was done too subtle for the complexity of his themes and character.
I heard the doin hellwalker track as u spoke about dio.
Dio: Fulfilling desires resulting from inferiority complex and god complex
Kars: Development and perfection through exploiting nature and standing on it
Kura: Finding a solution to the struggle of self-freedom with desires and evil
Diavlo:Trying to escape the old restrictions of fate to control the future and the world betreen shadow
Pucci: his human soul between righteousness and immorality, between truth and illusion, and how he will pursuit of happiness
Funny valentine:
Control of the societal system and patriotism between moral beauty and dictatorial cruelty
Tooru:A dark sympathy in a heart harsher than rock turns beauty into ugliness want to be a complete person like others with love and family and home..... and be without the crisis of identity and finding solutions to empirical theories.
Dio Brando: Wants to take over the Joestar Fortune and rule the world
Kars: Wants to become the ultimate life form
Dio: wants to get his revenge on the joestars plus rule the world
Yoshikage Kira: Wants to live a peaceful life murdering and not letting his identity be revealed
Diavolo: Basically Kira and Dio put together, Wants to rule fate and how things turn out being ruler of the world AND wants his identity hidden
Pucci: wants to reach Heaven and embrace destiny
Valentine: Wants to make America great again
(Oh wait that’s trump?)
i’m sorry folks wrong script
Valentine: wants the U.S. to prosper and have power
Toru: wants to have power..well man they all the same at some perspective😭
Been watching you since I was in highschool keep up the great work
Thank you!! 😭😭
Giorno was the true villain of part 5. Diavolo just wanted to live
Do you have any idea what diavolo did 💀
@@kesterrrrio I mean like ye maybe he did 1 or 2 evil things but so did everyone in part 5 no one was pure good
not quite.
diavolo was still evil as hell.
@@electricburst0986
i mean....being a mafia leader isn't already a reason to be evil?
i hear that music very good choice
4:34 may i use your voice on here for a kira edit?
(i'll give credit)
This video has made me wish that we saw Toru more in JoJolion as a whole: one huge criticism I have for part 8 is that the main villain comes out of complete thin air. I understand that adds mystery to him as a whole, but at the same time, he feels like he has zero personsonality and is just another Rock Human to remove. I prefer Jobin to Toru but Wonder of U is such an amazingly terrifying stand that it's hard to dislike him.
I always thought Toru viewed memories as nothing and to become dreams and memories means your dreams have come to nothing

Great vid bro.😺
Tooru wanted the rock humans to be at the top of society using the locacaca as medicine. It's hard to understand first read but you can understand second read at least.
Good video another banger
Bro the way you censored heaven in the thumbnail makes it look like hentai 😭😭😭
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITS SUPPOSED TO SAY HEAVEN
@@KalebIAseamen💀
omg real????!
based pucci
Het since you've done a hiw fast is Sonic video, could you dl the same for quicksilver
pucci was revealed to be correct within the story
God Kars is such a booty-tier villain compared to the rest
He's really only matched by Tooru in that regard.
at least he's fabulous while doing it. lol
If Jorge joestar is Jonathans father then who tf is jorge joestar. In the novel hes josephs father but in the anime hes jonathans father
George Joestar -> Jonathan Joestar -> George Joestar II ->Joseph Joestar
Jonathan named his son after his father.
JOJOLION!!
Ngl pucci sounds alot like zamasu
Wow
Stardos crusaders
Kira's motive was kinda boring, but was cool. I think he would've been cooler if he had a better motive
3:18 I do t like thinking about this
Funny Valentine's motivation:DOYJAAAN D4C LOVE TRAIN-U MY THOUGHTS AND MIND ARE UTTERLY UNCLOUDED THEY ARE THAT OF JUSTICE!
how does this have 2k views but 268k likes
What's wrong with that?
I wonder if Squidward can beat all the villains in jojo
Absolutely
The answer is probably. I have no idea how he'd defeat Wonder of u or D4C Toonforce has limits
Yes
Hi
.
First + love to vids
First 😊
Kars,Tooru and Diavolo are in my opinion without a doubt the weakest villains in JoJo.
Stop click baiting
How did he click bait?
jofoe motivations in a nutshell:
dio p1: jojo money be mine
kars: want sun and kill human
dio p3: want kill joestar
kira: want safety and kill women
diavolo: want requiem and wealth
pucci: want heaven
funny valentine: want to dictate usa
tooru: want plant
meryl: want money
Are you using GUN music for Valentine? lol
