Whatever type of investment you decide to get into, I think the key message here, or for me rather is to start investing no matter how small. Don't rush into anything you're not absolutely sure of. Then of course you can always build from there.
I was really hopeful of my investments this year, but all my plans has been disoriented, I've been studying the market crashes and I realized some investors made millions from the recent 2008 recession and I was wondering if such success rate could be achieved in this present market. and the Federal Reserve taking a more hawkish approach to interest rates and bond purchase tapering, a correction is underway
I finally opened a Vanguard account last year and "earned"around £3,000 in interest. I was always of the opinion that my money would grow in my bank account. Proves how little financial education we receive. It's like there are people who have a vested interest in making sure normal folk don't actually try to save. Thanks for the tips.
In order to grow your money, you need to put it in a place where it can earn a high rate of return. The higher the rate of return, the more money you will earn. Investment vehicles tend to offer the opportunity to earn higher rates of return than savings accounts. Therefore, if you want the chance to earn a higher return on your money, you will need to explore investing your money.
Thanks man. I meant to set something up almost 16 years ago when I read "I Will Teach You To Be Rich" by Ramit Sethi. Then I moved abroad and stopped investing. That was a very expensive decision. But it's a sunk cost. Your video got me to actually set up monthly auto-investing just now :) Thank you. FYI if anyone has a Schwab account, SWTSX has automatic investing with a $100 monthly minimum.
Like you man i am trying to turn 1000 into 10.000 dollars, for the moment 1070 ahah, i am very slow but i am sharing my journey, thanks for the videos brother
Interesting that you chose to include inflation as sort of a keyword in this video. I wouldn't have thought that that would be a huge draw, but I'm sure you did some research. It may very well be a less competitive area with great search volume
Thank you! 2022 is the year I decided to focus on investing bigger (as opposed to shorter term stuff), so this video is super good timing (and motivating) to me. A very well deserved thumbs up!
Compound interest is a great thing except you don't get that with shares. Yeah, you can annualize your return but there;s no compounding effect taking place. You buy 1 share of TSLA today at $1000 per share and sell it in 5 years for $1500. you only made $ 500. Great video for beginners however.
Would love to learn about the retirement profiolios that you mentioned! Also, a great video would be to see you talk about taking some beginner money to then split it and show a good way to put half your money into long-term investing and the other half into short-term investing!
@@DanielInskeep for what it's worth, I watched the one livestream you did and enjoyed it because I was able to learn a couple things, but it wasn't in a structured "learning" format, so it made it really easy to watch.
You might as well just buy Series I government bonds and not trade options if you are trying to start investing. Also don’t take investment advice of any kind on UA-cam
Love your videos, good information and presentation style, BUT the short inserted video clips for humor are distracting and just not funny (ex: 1:54). I know those take time to insert and they add nothing to the video. Keep of the good work however ;)
man im sorry but why this content? there are hundereds of videos on investing, please come up with better ideas, for example creative alternative ways to invest that you have learned thourghout your life or how to invest in something specific that you yourself have experience and actual gains in
i have done that video and it didn't really get many views (ua-cam.com/video/R8-Mzjcwr2A/v-deo.html). there are still so many people that have no idea where to start when it comes to stocks, so if they like my approachable style and are looking for a current video on the topic, this is a good place to start. and like nick b said - it brings in new viewers which is kind of key when youtube is your job.

What is small? What's small for you might be pretty large for someone else.
Diversify your portfolio, don't put all your eggs in one basket. It's way too risky.
@@jordanpierce8150 Well spreading your eggs in different baskets you know little or nothing about could also be risky. Knowledge is power
@@susanpaddock1002 You don’t need an MBA in finance to make basic investing decisions.

Happy New Year! Thanks for continuing to make these great videos
would love a video on flipping nfts n how profitable that will be
How often is the compounding? Yearly, monthly..?
Would love seeing a video about how to be able to invest your money from a business account from an LLC and S-Corp! Would be super helpful!
You need to open a retirement account of some type your contributions are tax deductible and protected from creditors.

That said, those investing for decades have the advantage, with growing wealth allowing them to enjoy the lifestyle that others cannot afford.
You guys are driven the market crazy
Great point about timing the market. When you zoom out far enough, it almost doesnt make sense to not be getting involved... NOW.
Great shirt! I would assume that it’s about the production company A24?
Stock market is a big bubble. I'll take the inflation and invest after the big crash. Good luck.
btw I'm pretty sure you didn't have a personal website before (or I never saw it) - looks great!! Congrats! Thanks for the spreadsheet!
thanks! i've had it since november of 2020 or so.
@@DanielInskeep thanks for drawing our attention to it!!
Great job!
Awesome as always!
2:50 it is:) and you can learn a lot about money if you learn the details of investing
Great video as always. Could you do a review of broker accounts for fx and stock for users outside US and EU? Thanks!
Thanks for this awesome video friend!
Helped a lot
Another great video this week. Also thank you for the 11:11 wish clock. Was waiting for it to change throughout the video.

There are licenced professionals?
I'm not looking to contact scamers in India, Africa, Russia or Eastern Europe.
Do you have any recommendations for non Us Citizen
maybe trading 212? or interactive brokers.
yeah intercative broker is a good options, i am too european and it is by far the best you can have

glad to hear it!
@Rick Wilkinson true. That’s exactly the approach that I’m taking
@@jofersc yeah man, step by step, study study and learn :D good luck
Risking 5k for a 50$ +/year isn’t worth it. Only if you don’t care about your money and do it long term.
how did you get to $50/year? that'd be a 1% return.
Thank you for the ongoing content, friend. All of this has been so interesting and helpful!
thanks, austin

Compounding returns for the win. Awesome breakdown as always. 👍
