I successfully trade in my own portfolio, and also follow others because I'm interested in their strategies. I realized I've got better at managing the trader's strategies too. There's nothing wrong at all with having someone far more dedicated manage some of your portfolio.
In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk.
Best thing is to carry out extensive research and be on top of current events. Know how current events can alter share prices and apply logic over your emotions. This is what worked for me. Best of luck

This is great. Nearly perfect for every young person to watch. A little more focus on the reasons you might want to get to $100k. I want to worry less, I want to be able to help family, I want to travel more, I want to donate more to Doctors Without Borders, I want a $20k yurt at Coachella. Young people rarely know what they want. In my 20s someone helped me with a few goals. It unleashed the power to making the first 100k. I was lucky for that.

My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
Agreed. I've traded for several years. I barely knew anything about the markets when I started but recently, someone at Merritrade advised I get a financial advisor that has good experience. I did and things changed. My portfolio grew by 150% in 8 months. How was she able to achieve that? She invested my money in reputable companies which their stocks must always rise after any dip.

Thank you! This video is exactly what I needed coming from 0% knowledge on investing in the US (Not from that country).
My advice is always to keep the majority in ETFs that cover multiple sectors. Then have a couple stocks, as a small percentage, picked out that you feel personally attached to or interested in. That way you can mitigate a lot of the risk but also have a personal touch to your portfolio. I feel this mitigates some of the emotional downsides or disinterest people have with investing. Also helps with the urge to constantly buy/sell with fluxes in the market. Grateful i have an adviser at this point, major Thanks to James Fletcher Brennan for getting me to a million

I'm not in any way joking when I say that the market crash and high inflation have me really stressed out and worried about retirement. I've been in the red for a while now and although people say these crisis has it perks, I'm losing my mind but I get it, Investing is a long-term game, so I try to focus on the long term.
I cannot focus on the long run when I should be retiring in a few years, you see l've got good companies in my portfolio and a good amount invested, but my profit has been stalling, does it mean this recession/ unstable market doesn't provide any calculated risk opportunities to make profit?

Yep I'm from Australia where we have superannuation. I'm currently living in Canada and have been contributing to my TFSA and RRSPs. The great thing about superannuation in Australia is that the government requires employers to contribute 10.5% of your earnings to super and you can elect voluntary contributions that will come out of your pay pre-tax each pay period. It's so widespread that your yearly salary is usually quoted post-super and everything just happens automatically.

I’m saving and investing around 70 percent of my income in the financial market(high yield etfs, stocks etc) pretty much how I made my first million although with an FA. I have a high paying engineering job, and I live upstate NYC. my expenses are low. I have zero debt, low rent and car truck paid off. So i can just save. feel lucky at this point I'm actually grateful for my advisor handling my portfolio.
